“Or I’ll just leave it”. My kind of guy. I often forget to wear hearing protection, then regret it later. I like the 3M work tunes like Gary. Nice edit.
Hello Ross, it's amazing how much nicer everything looks after you cut the grass. That was an excellent quick fix on the fuel tank. I use hearing protection only when I operate something that doesn't allow me to talk aloud and hear myself. I wear different types of protection based on what I operate. I absolutely do find that some types of protection will amplify the noise if not worn correctly or for the wrong application. I always want to hear the equipment at a level that allows for appropriate operation and to be able to detect any issues. Have a good one Ross!
That's a great point about hearing the equipment. And do the same thing. It's now raining just a bit here and will help . Thanks Paul. Have a great week
How's she goin'? I like the 'shop made' solutions to problems we come across. Well played making this clip for the tank. The property is looking very nice Ross. Having a Zero turn adds a whole new outlook to 'mowing day'!! LOL And for hearing protection I wear the Peltor muffs. I wore them all my working life and don't find any ringing after having them on even an 8 hour shift. They do cause my ears to sweat though!! LOL Take care!!!
" Have a great day" now speaking of " a great day "and the weather, we have had fog drizzle and rain almost all this month so far with temperature of around 8 to 9C, not much mowing can be done around here so far! But the darn grass loves the weather and is growing like weeds,... in fact faster than most weeds! LOL
I have a pair of Isotune in ear and one over ear. I can't keep the in ear for long because they become uncomfortable and I'm a bit disappointed with the over ear model I have, the rubber pad peel away and it's not like I wear them everyday 🤷🏼♂️. I might look at getting something else. I do find when a wear any style for a long period my tinnitus seems to be more loud. My JD E170 has a what they call a floating gas tank, it's always hard to tell the actual fuel level. Have a great week Ross 🙋🏼♂️
I wear 30NNR rated hearing protectors when using any and all powered equipment. I have not noticed any issues with hearing at all, when I remove the protectors afterwards.
I turn 67 today and my hearing is really bad. Lost a chunk of it in the Marines. The rest comes from not taking proper care of my hearing. I ran these open station tractors with them blasting me for hours on end. Day after day. Did that for years and just took my hearing for granted. Very foolish of me. Paying the price now.
Happy birthday! Hope you have a great day! I have tinnitus really bad, but even after wearing hearing protection it's worse for a while after I finish.
@@RossOnTheLand , well that sucks Ross. I know a couple people that have that . Not much fun. Thanks for the birthday wishes. A local radio station is hosting a classic tractorcade for the next four days in this area. Going to video much of that for my channel. Thanks Ross
I did I miss that video maaan ??? 🤔🤔 Hearing protection is a must, Ross get a better earing protection ( look at the spec ) Please Ross, I'm deaf but the Tinnitus constant ringing is driving me NUTS. So mannn please act NOW !!! Great Fixe Ross 😇👌👍 Yes best fuel tank 👍👌😇 Ross, you should make hay with that field 😇👌OUTSTANDING video Cheers 🍻🍻
@@RossOnTheLand I can't afford the 6k device that will reduce the tinnitus and increase my hearing cause by many years working on aircraft but it work very well when a try it for 2 hrs,,, Cheers
I would have put a couple of zio tie on it and seen how long they lasted. Can't get those gas cans in the states from the store, have to get aftermarket nozzle and some times those leak and aren't any better than original nozzle if they leak...
Funny you should say that. The piece I cut up was an expensive BMW part.. Aidan was... Not too happy and suggested I use zip ties or any other piece of metal we had laying around... Oops. Ya I've seen the newer gas cans around here, but glad we can still get these.
You might have tinnitus my friend as a lot of folks do. Mine comes and goes and right now, as I type this, I have ringing in my left ear. I'm liking your channel! 🦾
Thanks very much. I absolutely have Tinnitus. It's in both ears and sounds like those summer tree cicada noises all the time. Worse in noisy environments. Have an awesome day.
I wear the 3M Work Tunes and listen to the oldies while I mow. They hurt my ears but man is the music ever good🤣🤣🤣
Haha. Awesome
Good temp fix on the gas tank. It feels like a full time job grass cutting this time of year.
Thanks, I am not sure when the original fell out, so this will be permanent until it isn't haha.

Haha. Thanks Ed! Mine are 3M and like them but maybe I'll look for another style :). Haha. Thanks.

Thanks Mike, often the simple fixes are the best and temporary ones, are permanent 😀
You have a beautiful yard !
Did you say Temporary Fix 🤣😂
Thanks! We love it. Yes. A temporary permanent fix.. haha.
Good morning Ross. Looks like you need rain pretty badly too.
Hey Gary, yes we do.. although it's nice to be able to go a few more days between cuts and saves on gas... But yes we do need rain.

Oh wow. It's been super dry here. We need the rain.
@@RossOnTheLand Yes, we've all been noticing that, look at those poor folks in Alberta, Quebec and Nova Scotia, so far this season. Oh my!
Yes absolutely terrible.

I have in ear ISO Tunes as well, and agree, they can become uncomfortable over time (most in ears I've tried do this) thanks Luc.

I forgot to mention, I think those little bugs are baby spiders 🕷️ 🥴👍🏻
I know I was being bitten by something I couldn't see while cutting, so I assume it was these. Yuk!
A big zip tie easy way .
Oh! Ya that would be great! Thanks for the suggestion.
