i'm from Ontario and I love Montreal....It's a beautiful place, the people are nice and the Quebec music is great. Montreal has so much to see. Visit Montreal and you'll love it too
I am so happy because i am flying to Montreal next week omg i can´t believe it ,since i was 7 years old i wanted to know this city i am from Mexico and honestly i think this part of Canada is really interesting because of the history i think this is a Beautiful city Omg i cannot wait to go there j aime le francais aussi
Wow, what a wonderful city of Montreal, Canada! I'd love to go visit someday. I wish I can understand French :( Awesome video! I felt like I was there already!
i'm about to relocate to another Canadian city; after living in Montreal for 10 years. I feel so sad to be leaving. I really love Montreal but i'm too young to be stuck in one place forever. Anyway, you should visit Montreal, always lively, full of life, things to do places to see, so much color and culture, it is such a wonderful city. Yes, if you plan to live there, life would be easier if you learn French (like i did) but u can still survive just speaking Engish alone
Québec is a french nation, just like France. Our native language is only french for like 80% of us but eveyone learn english at school. Many of us can speak english at different level and of course, many have a strong accent.
Montreal is the most perfect city in Canada. Right now it is pretty much abandoned and its potential wasted by the hostility deep inside & political instability, but If one day it becomes officially bilingual, it will shine like diamond not just in North America, but in the World. What they need is the beauty of French heritage, the economy of English, the mighty power of English language, the lovely taste of French language, and the support of all the existing residents and future immigrants.
loll we talk both languages only some peoples prefer to talk one language but you are bienvenue to Montréal this is a multicultural city, its a nice city to do the party, also for relax on the Mont Royal and get a good view over of Montréal and for the peoples who like historical there is the Vieu Port its really a touristic part of Montréal well as i said your bienvenue !
Thanks for your evaluation. I wasn't sure about the song choice but don't know much French music. The jazz stuff was kind of tacked on and doesn't really match.
@MoonOvIce I hear ya... but it's important at least to know how to communicate... if you wanna live here in Montreal that's what you gotta do... coz it'll be too hard for you to get by only in English...
@ispyonu20 I'm sure I can learn, but it's not as easy to learn for me as Italian for example or Portuguese, I've been actually trying to learn it in the past but it's more difficult to me to learn than to learn English (of course, I learned English at a very young age (on top of living in the US for years, where I perfected my skills in the language and also my accent, which I no longer have)...anyway, I'm still checking if I may go to another city (like Toronto for example), thanks anyway.
Hello everyone, I have a question...Im looking forward to immigrate permanentely to Canada, my chances seem to be in Montreal and I would really like to know if I can live and communicate with most people in English? because I speak English fluidly (lived in the US) and my native language of Spánish but I cant really speak any French. So I was wondering if French is truly necessary to live in Montreal? if anybody could answer this I would be very grateful!
@akropiss Well it's normal that that happens to you... if you live here in the Province of Québec (which is mainly french-speaking) you have to adapt to the lifestyle here... so that means that you should speak French... Canada is split in two different cultures... the French one and the English one... then if you don't wanna learn or even speak French (do it for courtesy and for respect) then you should go to an English province... xD
@MoonOvIce yes It's necessary to speak french to live in Montreal... you can get served in English but not all the services are available in English... so it'd be helpful to learn French if you wanna come here to Montreal, Qc.
I love this city and always will. oh and just to say it is not necessary to insult all French people just because of petty arguments. some of you should really knock off the childish bickering and grow up goodbye.
Cuba (Quebec City) home of Dugall International Applying Cuba they're on Saturdays. The winningest football program in the history of football programs. Yes they say it like that for academics and to bust that chopper radio show about bats. Swish!
@DannyBoy443 lol Montreal is bilingual, everyone speaks English here man. don't go to France cuz it's fin dirty. Come to Montreal in the summer, preferably during the f1 grandprix. I promise you won't be disappointed
Very low. Even compared to equivalent places/cities in terms of population. People are generally very open, tolerent and peaceful. More so, criminality (at large) is lowering in average every year.
good video.... but the music terrible (doesnt fit with the video.... and the jazz spectacle should have been shown quicker...) because the music change broke the rythme... other than than awesome.
@vid1815 I will Say in 100% only 20% can't speak english in montreal,,coz those people are Hardcore French Canadians and they don't wanna learn english they just depend in French,But just only 20% and only Old People...

The song is:
(Pierre Bertrand - Un Air D'été) ---- Which mean: A summer beat By Pierre Bertrand.
It's a song about sunlight, and vacations.
Thanks!
Thanks for your feedback! Merci beaucoup!
I was born in montreal. When I go there on vacation I come back to the USA feeling very homesick for montreal :/

@vid1815 you can't really tell phisically. and i mean, there's still quite a lot of Quebecers that speak english (especially in Montreal).
What do you mean, you like your new country?
Oh did you move to Canada from a different country?
Thanks for your evaluation. I wasn't sure about the song choice but don't know much French music. The jazz stuff was kind of tacked on and doesn't really match.
