  • And so the 2023 season of British Motorsport comes to a close, and thus my RUclips channel will now unfortunately go into hibernation...
To finish off what has been a great year, it was back to Brands Hatch for the BARC and their final Truck meeting. Due to the grandstand costing a small fortune to get into this weekend, I had to relocate yet again and this time give the exit of druids a go; not a bad vantage point in all honestly, but it'll never quite be the same...
As for the racing, brilliant as always; the Mini Challenge has been one of my favourites for a while now and those Junior Saloons always put on a good show. The Legends and Pickups were also great to watch, it was just a shame we missed out on the last race as a result of a nasty accident on the run up to Druids in the final truck race of the day. From my view its hard to tell exactly what happened, but unfortunately the 89 of Simon Reid landed on top of the armco barrier and did take out a row of catch fencing. I've always found that the run off around that part of the circuit maybe isn't best suited for Truck racing, when you have a front bumper ending up stuck in a tree I think you have to question just how safe it is for spectators.

Been looking forward to this since the event 😀 I must admit, I prefer the original brands spot you had but they ruined it for you!

Yeah I'm afraid to say I think the Trucks have outgrown brands now
I'm sure all they care about is that it was a sellout but......they're just too big and powerful to be contained in such a tight track
Either they'll have to be extra limited or....something bad will happen. Maybe stop coming to Brands Indy?

Always watch your videos - I miss a lot of these even though I sit at Paddock (until the new fencing that is). Can I ask what camera / Camcorder you film with please? Mine always seems to get the shakes when panning, no matter how smooth I am.

Unfortunately it's got to be done, too many cars have gone up into/over the fencing recently at this track 😢

Found in a description on a older vid: "As I'm sure most of you are aware, MSV have put a new fence up on the outside of Paddock Hill and on the run up towards Druids that unfortunately blocks my old filming location, therefore I have had to move."

I'm not so sure, #28 even spun a number of times along the Cooper Straight/Surtees.

Having watched the trucks these last couple of years at Brands I've come to the conclusion that they're literally 'unraceable' there :(

Can’t race as Hard on wet tracks . Can’t show the performance part when you will spin if you do keep your foot on the floor. Wet track tires sucks. Then if it dries you have to change tires.

Whats the rules with ur truck racing and spectators. In NZ, no one is allowed near the fence at all, not even us flaggies.

allways good watching your videos off events that are live streamed as you get a different view of the crashes and the ones that are missed on the live stream
