Kokoshibou didn’t kill yoriichi. Yoriichi died from old age kokoshibou just cut his body in anger after realizing he couldn’t have a fair battle against him.

Him dying due to natural causes just shows that nobody could level to him, making him die undefeated. I really like that detail. But im pretty sure Kokushibo said he killed him to not shame himself or to higher his ego with a bunch of strangers.
