Weather officials urged residents in eastern Nebraska to seek shelter “immediately” as tornadoes moved through the Lincoln and Omaha metro areas on Friday.
On Friday afternoon, the National Weather Service confirmed a tornado touched down in the Lincoln area.
Footage filmed by Clint Hendricks shows the massive tornado swirl as he drove on Interstate 80 on Friday afternoon.
“Lots of debris in the air,” Hendricks said. abc7chicago.com/nebraska-torn...

nah it's not that bad. once you get into the several vortex area with ef3 or 4 damage, then it's bad. otherwise, you can just stand out there and watch if it's not too close. i still find it just wild that every nebraskan that's lived here for a while goes outside to see what's goin on. you can't really get a sense of severity until you go outside and watch it. just be careful not to pull a wizard of oz.

Yeah, really not that bad. Been living here for 30 years, and USUALLY not at all like in the movies. There are exceptions. You just gotta look at where the wind is blowing and make sure you're not in the path. They do meander a bit, but despite the 300mph winds, they only "travel" about 10-20 mph across land, so rather easy to get out of the way. --keep distance and admire the view. Frankly, I'd be more concerned with driving lookie-loo's not paying attention and crashing into things.

i ended up bein about 2 miles away from the one that hit elkhorn, we just grabbed some chairs and sat on the porch, watching it go by. you kinda get used to this stuff when you live in tornado alley. in places like new york, seattle and other cities that don't have to deal with tornadoes very often, if at all, it seems a lot scarier than it is. once you get to the half mile range of an ef3 or 4 wedge that's just massive, then you can start worryin, but anything over a mile, you mostly just have to watch out for rain and hail. within about 3 miles of an ef5, you wanna get as low as possible in an area that's pretty much just a bunker. in my basement, we've got a little storage area room we turned into a toy room thingy that's under the front porch, it's 65% concrete wall. the part that isn't is just the door leading into it. it's not too big, about 30 to 50 square feet, but it works just fine to hold 4 or 5 people comfortably with enough room for some board games or something.

This particular tornado missed my home by nine miles which is plenty close. NWS rated five tornadoes as EF-3. I was located in between this monster which ultimately tracked in Omaha's western suburbs and another which tracked to my east. These cells also deposited 2 inch diameter hail in many locations. Our Douglas and Sarpy county tornado sirens were sounding almost continously which is an indication of long track tornadoes.

Midwesterner here, and the advice we're given is:
      - if it's moving away from you - or parallel to your direction of traveling like this one - and not very close (as this one is not very close) keep your eyes on it, but pay attention to your driving, DON'T stop, DON'T pull over, but watch out for emergency vehicles heading to the touchdown point.
A general rules of tornadoes is, once it touches down, it rarely changes the direction it's traveling in.
      - Watch out for crosswinds being pulled towards or coming out from the tornado itself (especially if you are driving a "high-profile" vehicle, like an SUV or van), as they can adversely affect your driving. Also, WATCH OUT FOR DEBRIS! Tornadoes can throw debris for dozens of miles!
      - If the tornado appears to be stationary (not moving towards or away from you) CHANGE DIRECTION Immediately! And _parallel,_ not reverse! (Reason: Tornadoes are, by their nature, NOT ABLE TO BE "STATIONARY", if they appear to be so, that means the tornado IS COMING DIRECTLY TOWARDS YOU!)
If you have the bad luck to have a tornado touch down near your vehicle, STOP SAFETY, GET OUT! Find the lowest point (such as a ditch or culvert), lay down, cover your head with your hands and (if so inclined) pray.
DO NOT GO UNDER A OVERPASS!
And always, if traveling in an area prone to such weather, stay tuned to the local weather information!
      Hope this helps!

@freddiecunningham2860 Well, look into the besorah. Google HIS name. Google YAHUAH. But you should talk to the RUACH HA QODESH. It is online. They spoke a language that was later called Hebrew. But it is paleo Hebrew not modern Hebrew. They will understand that the language was changed. But if they realized it they'd know HE is indwelling them. The HOLY SPIRIT. The RUACH HA QODESH is with you. So talk to HIM PERSONALLY ABOUT IT & HE will guide you.
