There is no federal ban. Abortion law was sent back to the states where it was before Roe and had been since the 1800's . Lets get it right and leave a narrative alone. Abortion is not healthcare either. Its a procedure. In some ethnicities it is birth control.

This law would greatly impact D&C for natural miscarriage healthcare, non-pregnancy GYN healthcare, and non-viable fetus/risk or death to mother. Because hospitals/doctors will be too afraid of going to jail. This law says 2 to 5 years jail for doctors. We see in other ban states on the news they'll wait until a women is "sick enough" to nearly die to provide healthcare.

The state voters need to decide on these measures, what I am reading from panamafernandez4641 is this person approves someone who decides right before giving birth that she should have the right to terminate. Most of the population doesn't approve of late term abortion. This is a states decision to decide and not a federal decision.

@harleydude-xo8pu what I said was medical procedures should be discussed/decided between a patient & their doctor. If a women wants to have an abortion, she should have that option. If fetus issues/complications develop during pregnancy any option should be available. By the second trimester, the decision to carry to term has already been made so, the fear-mongering of someone trying to terminate after 8-9 months is asinine. If you're going to ban abortions, then vasectomies should be mandatory. 🧐

This AZ State Lawmaker indicates that his district is in a special electorate: 1/3 Republican, 1/3 Democrat, 1/3 Independent, which means that he, the man who introduced the bill to overturn the law, is NOT like the other Republicans in the state house. How many of his Republican colleagues are in 80% Republican districts who were hoping this bill would go into effect? How many does it take to BLOCK bringing the bill to the floor??
This is a losing position for republicans it is about women’s health. These men don’t get it and it shows. The singular focus on abortion as the main plan for 2024 is simply not enough.
Because It's an easy fix, they don't need all the Republicans. They just need some of them, but they will always get all the democrats. Personally, I really think SS, Medicaid, Medicare, Social programs, public school reform, university cost, food price gouging.... should be Top of the list.

For those of you that live in Arizona, think about this because it's coming. The 4th largest industry in AZ is tourism and hospitality. How long before people cancel their vacations/conventions here because someone is pregnant and doesn't want to be in a state where they can't get healthcare should something go wrong? My newly pregnant niece has already cancelled a planned visit here. I only point this out since money talks to Republican leaders. I realize there is more to this than money but not sure they do.
