18:39 You Can, But Only In Creative. Here's 2 Ways:
Easier Method: Place A Block Next To Where The Button Goes, Place The Button On That Block And Use Debug Stick.
Command Block: /give @s minecraft:command_block
Debug Stick: /give @s minecraft:debug_stick
You Can Also Remove The Blocks Too.
Complicated Method: Go Inside Of Your Train, Look Out The Front Windshield, And Use F3 To Get The Direction (North, West, East, South)
Then In A Command Block Type:
/fill ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ minecraft:(the variant)_button[facing=(the direction you got)]
