Hi Fil, as some have mentioned ,this is a brilliant rendition of : THIS IS THE MOMENT from the musical Jekyll & Hyde sung by BAE DOOHOON at a❤ New Years Gala performance 19th January 2024 while he was still playing Mark in the musical RENT….its run has now completed after 3months of gruelling schedule …sometimes twice a day! All of this alongside Forestella activity. The Forestella trio have also produced three songs on Immortal Songs stages from the 6th January onwards til a couple of weeks ago…Queen’s THE SHOW MUST GO ON, HIJO DE LA LUNA(rearranged for 3 voices), and KIM BUM-SOO’S ..A STORY SADDER THAN SADNESS….so they have been busy but still also managing to catch up with their own solo projects. HyungHo successfully completed his January SURVIVAL concerts then held 2 encore ones early February and MinGyu had his 2 solo concerts, MONO DRAMA first weekend in March and will have 2 more at the end of March. There are also hopes of solo album releases🤞😊. Many of these activities were deferred as Woorim’s enlistment date on Nov 20th 2023 loomed large and they frenetically completed their November UNFINISHED album and 2 m/vs SNOW GLOBE AND CHAGALLS DREAM and remastered WHITE NIGHT yalongside concert touring, Forestella Festival, Woorim’s BLACK concert and also completed STUCK IN A MAZE for release in January. HyungHo also released a m/v which is a movie soundtrack he wrote and composed as PITTA member for the Korean movie Noryang: Deadly Sea. English name of song: WAVE ON THE SEA. As PITTA member, He also wrote and composed a song for a fan who was battling cancer, but who passed away before he’d completed the recording. The family played the demo at the funeral. THIS SONG was officially released on Hyungho’s 36th birthday, the 8th of March.
MinGyu appeared on a tv show as a guest to sing Wheelily and he also released a new original song written and part composed by himself…Recuerdos de Buenos Aires on the 28th February. And in his concert set list there were three songs in which MinGyu sang the lyrics in Portuguese! Girl from Ipanema is part English, part Portuguese…Brazilian Portuguese if I’m not mistaken.❤….the other 2 were in full Portuguese. So , as you can tell, they have been pretty active this year…😊 (I’m happy to be corrected if I’ve made any errors.…still learning)😊
This song is "This Is The Moment" from the musical "Jekyll and Hyde" and Bae DooHoon delivers a flawless performance. A song as made for him! After all, he is a musical singer and (since during Ko WooRim's military service - everyone is increasingly pursuing own projects) he is currently appearing as Mark in the musical "Rent".

I love Doo Hoon! He is great! 🥰 I would have liked to show you the video of Gethsemane, which, as pointed out in the comments, it is my favorite performance of him too 👏, it is incredible, but they are all fancams and I did not dare to give it without the permission of the owner (I don't want problems for you and me...😅), so, I leaned towards this song from the musical Jekyll and Hyde that I love 😍, it was recent and the link could be seen without any problem. I hope to get permission for future series 🙏.

Perhaps many might not be aware, but out of the 4 members, DooHoon has the longest-running professional solo career alongside Forestella that was in place years before he co-founded Forestella in 2017. Being an active musical theatre actor is his main solo activity outside Forestella and demands an incredible investment of time, energy and commitment and artistry. A long-time love of his. He is under Blue Stage management for that aspect of his working life and in December 2023 , Doohoon celebrated his 10th Anniversary since his debut under them. Every musical production that Doohoon takes part in consumes many months of a year from auditions and casting and promotional activities to script read-through meetings, to bringing the script to life, rehearsals, production aspects, to the last bow to the audience on stage and farewell to the cast and crew family. All of this interspersed with Forestella live and studio activity. The public usually only sees the 3-4 month on stage performance schedule…not his real and active involvement behind the scenes leading up to opening day of a production. The sheer volume of work he would be doing as a principal in a musical theatre production would make many shake in their boots. These are not minor roles that he is performing in. Now add to that the gruelling Forestella schedule especially in 2022 and 2023, which included a Forestella 2022 comeback campaign and launch of a national tour of Korea, followed by their first international tour that covered 5 North American cities, followed up by another S. Korean national tour in 2023, leading up to Woorim’s impending deadline for his military service requirement. There were albums and singles and music videos released in ‘20, ‘21, ‘22 & ‘23, a crazy schedule of performances all over the country at multiple venues especially in the last 2 ;years, Woorim’s wedding in 2022, Doohoon’s own wedding in 2023 …and let’s not forget their iconic Immortal Songs performances of BAD ROMANCE, EXO’S MAMA, LEGENDS NEVER DIE, DESPACITO that catapulted them further onto the international radar. The intense work that required is mind-blowing. Add into this craziness also multiple photo and video shoots for promotional and music video content ….not forgetting some other solo activity too , like fan-meeting performances, tv appearances, award show performances etc. Remembering too, the fact that Forestella terminated their relationship with Arts and Artists under Universal Music Korea at contract renewal time in June 2021 and after 2months in August 2021 announced they’d signed with Beat Interactive, which signalled a huge change in the group’s trajectory... and having to relaunch themselves …..starting with an epic winning stage performance of LAZENCA, SAVE US at the Immortal Songs King Of Kings battle for the trophy. Suffice it to say, Bae Doohoon is extremely active in both his Forestella life and his musical theatre life, with not too much time to spare😅🙃phew! WOW!, I’m exhausted now and I haven’t even listed all that keeps him from participating and recording more solo activity. ❤ Frankly, I don’t know how he manages it all, to be honest….well, actually I do…it is thanks to the love and support from his 2 musical families ….especially his Forestella brothers who support what he does and loves to do and excels in , in so many tangible and intangible ways.

Thanks for the link. I think this older performance is even better. Previously I only knew an excellent version by Cho SeungWoo. But Bae DooHoon is just as top notch!!!

I was looking for that performance for quite some time and all of his songs came up on The Voice except that one (I don't know why...), I have it download but I don't keep the link...😅 so I was inclined to give him this most recent performance that could also be shared and it is amazing too. I'm going to save it in case I request another reaction 😅🤗

@@Eric-hr5cgYes! Exactly! I keep mentioning this in the comment sections! Everyone keeps saying that they wish the group is better known internationally but Forestella performances with Korean titles are not searchable by internationals..
