Thank you for sharing your forestella journey with us! Thanks to you I feel like I'm discovering them for the first time again. Interesting that you said he belongs on stage, I perfectly agree and I think it's even more amazing considering he was an ordinary office worker (he did chemical engineering at a good company) before joining the audition program that saw the creation of forestella. He had no vocal training at all, only his love for singing and his experience in an amateur rock band at university. He joined a program full of experienced opera singers and popular musical actors and stood out for his outstanding range and vocal abilities. He kept growing with forestella and now I can only rejoice that everything aligned perfectly to keep him working as a singer. I can't believe we almost lost such a talent to chemical engineering!

In fact, when he applied to the "Phantom Singer 2", he couldn't even read the musical characters. Besides, he was working as a research chemist at one of the biggest companies in Korea. So, when the FORESTELLA plays in the semi-finals, he had to be hospitalized for a few hours, right before the "Live Performance", cuz he had been burnt out for doing the both preparing the audition and working as a chemist for 6 long months. But, he(FORESTELLA) had won at the audition program! Considering his voice range, perforct pitch and all other singing skills, I think he's a genius. 😆Thanks again for your reaction to FORESTELLA. Kang did a brilliant job here. Like Marcelito Pomoy or Dimash he doesn't need a duet partner to sing a male and female part. As solo artist he released his own album called "ID: PITTA". When I first saw his rendition of phantom of the opera it blew my mind. I like the craziness he added at the end. By the way, the background vocals are from other Forestella members. They support each other even when they perform solo. As next Forestella song I recommend "Inner Universe" (the version with "Phantom Singer All Stars" in the title). "Inner Universe" is the opening theme song of the Japanese animated sci-fi series "Ghost in the Shell". This performance is nuts.

kang hyungho is a freak of nature! he was born to perform! while a lot of people like another countertenor, dimash, hyungho is my man! he has a much more pleasing sound (there's such a thing as too high and dimash goes shrieky!) and far more compelling stage presence. while he's more demure as part of forestella, when hyungho is doing a solo stage he radiates those performer vibes!

I admire him because with passion and perseverance he menaged to achieve the fame he deserves, even without an academic training in music (I read he wanted to study music, but his parents were against it. So he became a chemist). Please react to Pitta’s songs “Persona” or “The Nation” and to the great performance of “Balada para un loco” of Forestella’s Cho Min-gyu (very theatrical and touching, sung in an almost perfect Spanish. kang hyungho is a freak of nature! he was born to perform! while a lot of people like another countertenor, dimash, hyungho is my man! he has a much more pleasing sound (there's such a thing as too high and dimash goes shrieky!) and far more compelling stage presence. while he's more demure as part of forestella, when hyungho is doing a solo stage he radiates those performer vibes!

Thank you for reacting to this wonderful performance. Kang Hyungho is my favourite member of Forestella. I admire him because with passion and perseverance he menaged to achieve the fame he deserves, even without an academic training in music (I read he wanted to study music, but his parents were against it. So he became a chemist). Please react to Pitta’s songs “Persona” or “The Nation” and to the great performance of “Balada para un loco” of Forestella’s Cho Min-gyu (very theatrical and touching, sung in an almost perfect Spanish. Manages to make you feel the Argentinian spirit of the song). I hope I’ve made myself clear; my English is terrible.
