The little stops in your vedio are actually making it pretty smooth ❤️ I've just taken the university but now I realize it is becoming more & more complex and diversified as much as I try to get interested in researching and then I just end up mixing everything 😂
Hey moema!! Loved your video. I must say your voice is super soothing. Love from india ❤️ and yes I will be applying for MSc in international development next year. It has always been a dream. Best of luck for your future
hey, came across your video and I am really happy I did. I will be joining the university of Edinburgh in September this year, to study MSc Finance. your video helped a lot. Thanks and you're real cute
🥺💕 hiii Reet, I'm so glad you liked it !!! 🎊Congradulations on getting in 🥳 I really hope you get the full uni experience and that everything goes well. Best of luck to youuu💕
This is so helpful! I am only a sophomore in an American university, but I am looking into different schools in the UK area as it is my goal to study for my masters degree in Europe. I am not very well off financially so I was wondering what scholarships and/or grant opportunities you may know about that I should look into? I’m not done with the video yet so you may answer it in the video but I figured I would go ahead and comment and let you know that this is very much appreciated! Cheers 🥰
Hello my darliiing😊🌷 I'm really glad it helps ! 🥺 Unfortunately, I don't cover it in this video because I didn't take a scholarship (although I tried). I know the university has quite a few of them and you can check them out in the link below: www.ed.ac.uk/student-funding I also believe there are other ways to get scholarship/funding that are not directly linked to the school but the course you take. IDK where to find them but I'm sure I stumbled upon some in my research. I really hope you find what you need to achieve your goals, best of luck 💕☺️
Hi! I love the New Park accommodation and was just wondering if it was easy to apply to it as a masters student because when I check on the UoE website New Park is only listed under 'Undergraduate'? This is probably a silly question but I would love to know if postgrad students could apply to undergrad accommodations as I think they are so much nicer!! Hope this makes sense, loved the video! 🥰x
Hi Alice ! 💕☺️ Hahaha don't worry, it's not a silly question, I was thinking the same when looking through the accomodation options. 😂 I was able to apply for it and actually noticed that a lot of us were postgraduate students so it should not be an issue. From what the staff had told us, New Park would not be continuing their contract with the UOE so I'm surprised it still appears for undergraduates. I'm sure you can find spots for the accomodation available on their own website Downing Students (although they show as sold out). I would recommend that you add it to your top 5 choices for accommodations on the university accomodation website and when they say what you want as your priority, you should say the bathroom (that's what I did). I really hope this helps and that you get a nice and cozy bedroom 😊💃.
Hi Moema! Regarding the MSc Carbon Finance course, may I ask what was your educational/career background prior to applying? And did you find the finance/maths content intense? Thanks!
Hi Ry !! Ofc :) I did a bachelors in business management and I specialised in finance and economics and in highschool I did undertake sciences which implies more maths. However, a lot of my classmates were from all walks of life. You do not need finance as a background since the professors will make the effort to give you prep material. Ofc having the background helps understand the courses faster but definitely not a deal breaker!!
Hey Moema, I have a upper class honours in my Bachelors and I meet the basic entry requirement. I also have some relevant work experience. However, I feel like my grades are a bit low and to compensate them I am thinking of giving GRE examination, but a counselor told me that is it not worth it because the unis dont look at such tests if they have not asked for them. Do you think if I get a good score on that it can be in my favour? Loved the video!!
Hello Chelsy !! Humm I see. Any additional exam you take is always a plus since it shows your motivation to prove your capacities to schools. Since it is not required they won't pay much attention to it but a great score on any optional exam is always a plus for schools. You can also try reaching out to course professors/director and try to understand what they are looking for in students if you are really worried but do some thorough research before reaching out. I know it doesn't really answer the question but I don't work at the uni nor have any expe in post grad admissions other than my own :(. Just make sure your essay is relevant to the course and how your experiences and passions align to it. I think that is a key aspect of admissions that should not be overlooked! Best of luck ✨🤞😋
Hi Deanne ! I did not have to take the GMAT thank god. I was avoiding any masters with it... 😅 But it's always a plus in all applications. I did have past internships respectively: 2 months, 5months and 10 months. I did the first 2 during my undergraduate and the 10 month one during my gap year. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions! ☺️
Hi Rose! ☺️ It's only a 1 year master. My sister did a two year master in the French educational system and said it was a waste of her time as all the material could have been done in only one year... I don't think my master is a two year course because of what we talk about. Of course there could be more depth to it in some areas but overall its a course that just puts us up to date with the information in our field (that is growing and changing fast) so it is more an on the field learning thing. Depth of knowledge would also depend on the field you will venture in so it's not like the course could cover all the details without becoming outdated by the time you finish. I think 1 or 2 years mostly depends on: -The field you are in. In some courses you physically can't fit everything in one year. - What you want. Honestly, I don't think I could have done a 2 year master... and not in this pandemic 😂 Hope you this helps ! ❤️
Can all students studying postgraduate get accommodation in the same place? Coming September my sister and i will be joining UoE. She’ll study MSc. IHR and I’m going to study MBA. How far is it from the business school campus?
Omgg it's so cool that both of you will be in the same uni !! I think you can make it work by choosing the same options and even going as far as to contact the uni's accommodation team and letting them know about your situation ! Good luckkk 💖💖💖
Also the business school is in the campus. But the school has a few buildings spread out around town and it depends on your courses so I can't know how far they will be from each other but you should get a good idea if you look up the campus's map :)
Hi Miera, Ouhhh. Well, I'm sure all courses ask for your CV and an essay/motivation letter. But some might also require to have a really good score in your Bachelor degree (highest honours), they might also ask for certain work experiences (in years) in the field.
