@@unchart_d Just a warning about Become a WordPress Developer, the section on Gulp is outdated and does not work "out of the box." You will have to "fix" it yourself. This will likely take you hours of reading comments and documentation. He states the course can be completed without the Gulp build process, and I would guess it can be, but I didn't attempt it without Gulp so I don't really know. I couldn't figure out how it all worked on my own, despite having some familiarity with Gulp going into the course. This was because having some familiarity with Gulp is not enough to understand the comprehensive gulpfile that Brad put together. To understand what was going on in his gulpfile, I ended up taking his other course, "Git a Web Developer Job," where he shows how to put together a Gulp build process, as well as a ton of other useful stuff (you're welcome for that money Brad -.-). I kid, but on a serious note, I was not happy when I bought Become a WordPress Developer and then got hung up on the Gulp part and couldn't proceed. In my case, I didn't really have an option other than purchasing the other course as I was learning WordPress in order to switch a client site to WordPress. That being said, it was money well spent. The things taught in the "GaWDJ" course are essentially requirements for working in a web developer role and even if you just use it for personal projects it is still extremely helpful. If you already understand Gulp, Webpack, and npm then you should be fine without the other course. If not, it is something you'll have to weigh the costs and benefits of when considering Become a WordPress Developer. Just know that the things you'll have problems with in this course are things you will encounter again in other courses, and most of the time, the instructor is not around to help anymore (guess how I know that...). Plus, troubleshooting broken code is half of what programming is all about.

@@drewlomax7837 with his update (announced on early August 2019 on the Udemy's course site), this problem is fixed. I have tried the updated and my "gulp watch" command from git bash works fine.

Brad I'm a huge fan. I stumbled on a video of yours as you do stumbling through RUclips looking for answers. Next I bought and am binge watching your HTML + CSS course for beginners. For once a course in clear bite-size peaces with practicle skill that inspire you to dive in and start building. Already looking at the WordPress Developer Course and the Git a Web Developer Job Course at Udemy. I've been a designer for 30 years and nowadays print is dead so I find myself hacking my way with WordPress and visual builders like DIVI, Brizy and Oxygen -all quick ways to build websites but always needing CSS tweaks etc. and resulting in some what heavy sites. I tried Dreamweaver, GoLive it's predesessor in the 90's I could never quite get it... now I'm getting it thanks to your courses. Massive thanks.
