    Great video. I have a 2008 STI Hatch and I am thinking of buying the same gauges and pod mount. I like how this pod is closer to eye level than the ones mounted on the steering column.

    I have been wanting to put these AEM gauges in my car for ever. Lately I have been worried about the many negative reviews I found about the afr gauge. People stating that AEM uses faulty Bosch sensors and that about half of the sold gauges and sensors don't work to begin with, or fail within weeks/months. Since you already fitted them 4 years ago, can you say something intelligent about the quality and life span?

    • @00Lach
      @00Lach  Год назад +1

      Had zero problems so far mate. Never missed a beat, but I didn't know about the faulty sensors? Perhaps I was lucky?

      @@00Lach Thank you so much for your time. Highly appreciated. Don't know if there is any truth to those reviews, maybe they were just unlucky with the sensors. Thanks again, greets from Holland, glad to hear the product is oke, because I really want to get one.

    Sweet! Thanks for posting. How did you remove the OEM vent? I've tried removing mine and it seems like it's going to destroy the dash in the process.

      Hey mate you just need a flat head screw driver or a plastic trim tool and you really need to put some force into it. I was hesitant but I never damaged anything

    What 3” turbo back were you running? I just bought a catless DP myself and I’m afraid I’ll have to weld another bung to run the A/f wideband 👎🏼
    Loving my 13 wrx hatch tho man. Cheers!

      Simple Joys Media Hey mate thanks I appreciate it! I'm running an el cheapo catback exhaust and then I bought a hyperflow down pipe which came with the bung on top there and then I got my local exhaust shop to make me up the midpipe to connect the two

    Mate I'm installing a wideband in my wrx.
    With your o2 in the bump pipe you have no heatsheld on it. Your bung is on the same side as my but I have a heat sheld that overlaps. Did you remove your heat sheld????

    • @00Lach
      @00Lach  2 года назад +1

      Hey mate, the heat shield was removed to install the dump pipe. I have a heat blanket over the turbo now which is a lot better for heat resistance to both the intercooler and the sensor.

      @@00Lach I’m not really understanding… the wideband sensor that u plugged in the down pipe was originally made for a o2 sensor right? When you start the car, you will be missing an o2 sensor… right? So what do you do about it ?

    • @00Lach
      @00Lach  2 года назад

      @@carljoannette9785 The wideband sensor I plugged into the dump pipe is an extra sensor that goes directly to the guage. The OEM o2 sensor sits in the exhaust manifold/headers. You're not losing a sensor but you're gaining one.
