My granddaughter was a victim of SA. When she cried out to my middle daughter I told her to take her down to the police right then because I knew that no one should talk to her and be allowed to question her. The great grandfather confessed and he had done this to all the granddaughters. Allowing Joni to speak to her is what changed her mind. Very sad

I was fostered from an Orphanage by a middle class family. I dreaded my foster father regularly coming home in a drunken state and coming into my bedroom to try to abuse me. His mother knew what he was doing but didn't help me. I used to kick him away from me until it got too much to bear and I left there home and was homeless In all those years I couldn't tell anyone what he was doing for fear I'd be sent back to the orphanage. When she cried out to my middle daughter I told her to take her down to the police right then because I knew that no one should talk to her and be allowed to question her. I was fostered from an Orphanage by a middle class family. I dreaded my foster father regularly coming home in a drunken state and coming into my bedroom to try to abuse me. His mother knew what he was doing but didn't help me. I used to kick him away from me until it got too much to bear and I left there home and was homeless In all those years I couldn't tell anyone what he was doing for fear I'd be sent back to the orphanage. Same everything….deacon in the Baptist church, never took accountability for his actions; my life was a living hell!
I forgave and I sought intense psychotherapy for myself. I healed greatly, yet I still struggle at times.
That’s why I am so drawn to the push for justice for Baby Lamb. She has a long road ahead of her.
