I'd seen him live here in Sydney in 1971, and I was waiting for his return tour in March of 1973. Between both those two momentous occasions of my childhood years, there was this remarkable performance from him at the Royal Variety Show. Elton John had shared the same billing - he performed Crocodile Rock - and was later to say that he was in awe of Liberace's musicianship. So much so, he was nervous appearing on the same stage as him. And then to think that Liberace had shipped his own piano to London for this performance. How amazing is that! Thank you for uploading this.
I noticed that Liberace's entrance announcement excluded one line normally recited at a Liberace concert right before "Mr. Showmanship": "The star of our show!" No doubt that was intentional because Lee was too kind to appear that he was upstaging any of his fellow performers.
I am sick tired and sorry of adverts crashing in with no skip advert sign cutting off videos not being able to get them back so advert guys if u read this please f xx k off for good l am not going to buy your crap
The only show in town with THREE Queens and I ain't talkin' poker. The Queen Mother, The Queen and of course The American Queen, Liberace. He is not, I repeat, not gay.

Well what a treat to see Liberace tap dance! Mr Entertainment ❤
I love the 70s, with it's flamboyant fonts, loud colours and ostentatiousness. Bravo Liberace
I remember him as when l saw him live in 1956 he was very sweet and shy then
He was an excellent musician! And a fabulous showman too!

Playing the piano is like playing the drums with all of your fingers without drum sticks…….Instead of two drum sticks you have ten!
Wow!
The geezer certainly new his way round a 🎹. A true showman
Particularly enjoyed ALFI and RAINDROPS KEEP FALLING
7:14 Wow, that's from Liszt Concerto No.2 if I'm correct.
Seamlessly woven into the arrangement.
Yes, and his entrance was to the opening strains of Rachmaninov's 2nd Piano Concerto.
❤💖
That single clap from the audience, during the opening of the first songs rhythm. Stopped by someone with a hushed "No~" lol
:'^( rip Liberace
Probably the first time Liberace has played in front of an audience of cadavers.
Cadavers?
Since the Queen did not attend, did the Queen Mother then represent her under the Crown?
shut up
@@alyciaclemente1592 Wow, that's an intelligent response to an intelligent question! Well done Alycia!
