My hall's cord outlet doesn't work any more so I'm guessing these things are just disposable if there are any problems

Thank you sir, I’ve got to the clear plastic, was wanting to replace batteries but it doesn’t look good, I’m like you if I can’t fix it than it goes to the where the die.

I had one that did not charge. I called their customer service number and they said that it was probably the charging cord wall plug. I was able to get it to charge through a 12 volt plug but the wall plug did not work. They sent me a new wall plug for free and that fixed the problem. You might want to try charging it with a 12 volt plug if the wall plug is not working. If that wroks it's probably just the wall plug. But is that doesn't work then its probably the halo bolt itself.

Thanks for this. I was like ??. I have two of these. I loved the first one so much, I was gifted another. Now I want to repair my first one as it doesn't hold much charge anymore. I've used it for portable phone power for 5-6 years. I'll let you know if I figure out a way to get it open without breaking it. I doubt I will

@@ccarlleywell, unfortunately this video didn't help me much because I don't have the side dismount holes on either of my Halo Bolts. I was able to pry the corner up on the empty side, and then go around and pry it up. It still clips back and locks but to say it's 100% would be way off. I'd say it maintained about 80% locking. Some of that was me just going yolo and prying it hard with a small screwdriver.
When I got inside, I don't know why I was thinking it would be easier but it wasn't. It took me two days to get the surface mount LEDs off and new ones soldered in. I used 3mm LEDs and drilled out the LED holder to give it enough space. Then dremeled it down half way. I really only need light #1 and light #4 to work so I know if it's low or full. As it was, only light #2 worked. Now I added in 3 new white LEDs but only 2 worked, #1 and #4 😂. So I have white LEDs for #1&4 and green led for #2. Green kinda doesn't show up good because of the modified LED holder but if I pull it out again, I risk breaking the contacts for the 45th time so I'm leaving it as-is.
If anyone else is looking to do this type of modification, I would smaller LEDs. Surface mount may be ideal for you but I couldn't see them and don't have a magnifier bench. I lost a couple pulled from other devices. They just disappeared.
The voltage coming to each LED is 4.8-5V so make sure you get 5V LEDs. 3.4V LEDs may burn out immediately with 4.8-5v. I considered changing out the battery pack but I'm not prepared to take that all apart right now after dealing with the continual breaking LED leads. They're very tiny and I'm using a basic soldering iron. Use a lot of flux, it will help keep the solder separated for each side of the led connection. They're very very close and tear off very very easily. I was able to scrape the board enough to get a contact point a lil below where it went originally.
      Good luck 😂

JEEEEZUS! You went deep on your fix. Just reading about you replacing your LEDs made my sphincter tighten. Thanks for taking the time to share your journey with us. You went where no one has gone before 😮

@@Jennypounders1029 I had this happen once when my daughter plugged the vacuum into the AC outlet and turned it on. It appeared to be dead forever. But I left it plugged in for 24+ hours and it came back to life. Have you tried leaving it plugged in on the charger for a long time?

BATTERY SWELLING? I get the one charge light without it charging any more. I don't have the cig charger to see if it is the cord. BUT i do see small stress cracks in the underside of the Case and notice it will not sit on the 4 corner supports on the bottom, so it looks like the battery has swelled. I'm guessing its a bad battery. Any one else have a battery swelling issue? Going to email them to see if I can get any replacement.

Vine won't charge either. What a dismal device. Tried 12-volt. Didn't work. Mine does not have the four little holes

Everyone, there's a better video of how to take the cover off. I listed the link in this video's description.
