  • In his latest episode of "Grime Time", Rudy takes you through the process needed to remove the center console in a 986 (1997-2004) generation Porsche Boxster. With the center console removed, Rudy then replaced the broken e-Brake handle with a suitable used replacement scored for only $40.

I was wondering where this little bracket went. That holds the cables and I was able to see it in your video. Thank you so much because you’re the only video that gave me where that bracket belongs. Took my whole interior apart a few weeks ago and putting it back together now. Thanks for saving my ass brother.

Excellent job & video. I have a 98 Boxster that I need to replace the passenger side emergency brake cable and I had no idea where it actually went from the wheel hub. Now I know how the fix it just from watching your video. Thanks!

Thanks for the great video! Question for the expert: is it possible just to replace the leather handle on the E brake? Or does the entire assembly have to be replaced?

Great question! Unfortunately, I could not figure out a way to change just the leather handle. Candidly, my original handle was in much better shape than the replacement part's, so I would have swapped it out as well if I could have.
