Removing the centre console and fixing the reverse switch on a Porsche 996 Turbo Tiptronic - part 6

In this episode, I go through a step-by-step guide to removing the centre console on my Porsche 996 turbo tiptronic and the reverse switch unit. I then go through the simple fix you can apply to the reverse unit if your reverse lights have stopped working. This will also fix your dipping side mirror and rear parking sensors if you have them fitted too.

Many thanks for the video. It resolved my reverse switch that was not working anymore.
I followed each step of the video and miracle, rear lights, door mirror and rear proximity sensors are working again !

It worked! And I’m £12.40 up! Thank you :)
Ps I didn’t need to take out the side panels on the dash by the climate controls. Also, the second lower screw on the unit was tough to get at, people be patient.
The thrill of hearing the reversing sensors again!

Great video, hoping to own a 996T by the end of the year and I’ve finally found a video that really shows the colour of the metropole blue interior! So hard to see in pictures. Lovely car and great tutorial!

Thanks Jambom for the comment and support. Lots more videos of the 996T coming this year. I'm going to do some reviews on it and additional work upgrades. I will be sure to get the exterior and interior highlighted. I searched for a while to get the lapis blue exterior with the metropol extended leather interior with carbon pack. It's a great place to sit even if it is now 20 years old 😮👍🚙💨
