I feel like this is all part of a bigger trend where big execs are trying to pander more to audiences and making their products worse as a consequence. Before, we didn't have market strategists and social media analysts and consumer studies and the like, so directors just directed according to their personal vision and that was it. Nowadays, movies are obsessed with the nitty gritty of the contemporary social agenda, trying to capture the Zeitgeist perfectly in order to maximize profit. But this calculated approach just doesn't work. Studies are flawed, consumers often don't know what they want, and social media can be misrepresentative of reality. Most importantly, producers ignore context. Like how the live-action made sure to include a lot of B plots because fans demanded it - without understanding that the reason they mattered is that they developed Aang as a character, in that they brought to light his aversion to duty. So instead, we get the love tunnels WITHOUT Aang, which was the most pointless thing imaginable. That's also why Dune is hailed as the messiah of modern blockbusters, because it's evident how Vilneuve executed a personal artistic vision, unafraid to make huge changes to the plot and uninfluenced by popular trends.
The whole series was just boring to me. It feels so safe, and clean, and inert. It's like a noble gas that doesn't react with anything. It's so tasteless because they're trying really hard not to displease anybody. I abandoned it after forcefully going through the first 3 episodes. The experience of watching it felt like eating ash the whole time.
It really felt like they were walking on eggshells even before the show came out. Seems like they shot themselves in the foot as soon as they spoiled things with the original creators
"I have a wife"😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
She's real, I swear
Very fun Video. 5 Minuten is a good time nowadays to keep the audience hooked and your sarcasm is nothing short of socca himself.
He is my favourite character.
That's very kind, thank you.
On an unrelated note, you sound like a Heath Ledger’s joker if he used his British accent
That's the craziest compliment I've ever gotten on a video😂

1:28 my guess is he likes the three that aren't made by Disney.
