I see lots of shout outs to Jim Casella for this - he does deserve his healthy share. Let's not forget the wizardry of Murray Gusseck starting back in 2002 developing this line over the next few years to set the paradigm for DCI. Jim Ragsdale, Glen Crosby, Ralph Hardimon all get a huge shout out - same for members Brian Perez, Dustin Schletzer, and Patrick Haedtler who each grew this line through their commitment and talent. There were also some very talented up and comers in this line!
Confirmed. I was really into BD and saw both SCV and BD in the lot at BD's home show in 2003. SCV was the coolest, funnest line of the year and something special.
Hi! Can the owner of this video please tell me how I can contact them? The Vanguard Historical Society would love permission to utilize this footage for an '03 video we are putting together. Thanks!
+Derp show music is cool, but Paul Rennick hasn't come close to funky old school SCV warm ups: 13 89 91 98 99 03 07 triplet rolls 06+07 cheezy poofs etc...
It's about time for Jim Casella to come back to the drum corps world!

@@1bird_d It all depends on how the instructor uses them.
They won 4 titles, pretty impressive, this style lives on in the mandarins
21:57 Holy fast ✋🤚s batman.
Oh my god. How do you have this?
I recorded it myself. I stumbled across the tapes recently and uploaded it. Enjoy.
I loved every second of this. I had no idea they played this flam thing back in 03. Whatever happened to the girl on snare?

Is there anyone who can help me learn this, I've got both Pearl quint and snare 🥁s.
