    Thank you, wilsc, for all of your Lin highlights. They are the best because they show more than just Lin scoring or making assists or getting rebounds or making good defensive moves. All those no calls, "should-have", "could-have" and missed assists! Well, that's just basketball.
    The Rockets need a true point guard, but for whatever reasons, they do not see what they need in Lin. Talking about hidden in plain sight! No Lin no win, even for 0.9 sec.
    I can't help but watch that last 0.9 sec over and over again. Lin was standing in the corner, motionless. I wonder what was going thru his mind at that time. Lin hates to lose. It must have been frustrating and perhaps excruciatingly painful for Lin to watch what had unfolded. The last 0.9 sec must have been an eternity for him. His coach took him out of the game, in spite of how well he had been defending Lillard for the whole 4th quarter. There was nothing Lin could do, standing on the sideline. McHale simply does not get Lin and do not trust Lin. Too bad!
    What kind of defensive setup you had there, McHale? McHale is clueless as a coach. He may be a HOF playing basketball, but he has no business coaching at any level.
    Onto the next chapter of the Jeremy Lin story! See y'all next season then!

    If only Howard made that last two free throws and Asik didn't have to foul so Lin's 3 would count.. At the end i couldn't believe Parson actually finished that lay up but i was most impressed with Lillards 0.9 sec three.. it was a good season overall..

    Lin was playing lock down defense on Lillard in that fourth quarter. Why on the final play of the game did McHale take Lin out of the game so that a small forward had to guard Lillard on that last play. Also, in Lillards television interview after the game, Lillard said that the Houston players seemed uncertain who was going to guard him. In other words, McHale sent them into that last play with no instructions and no plan.

    Overall a strong performance by Lin. His shooting % went down due to the fact he was taking those last second shots. Lin could have sealed the win with another last second 3 (clutch) but Asik's foul nullified it. The refs screwed us again. Nobody could touch LMA or they will blow their whistle while Howard was getting hammered in the post. Lin was also(again) a victim of a couple of non-calls from refs.
    Lin played great defense on Lilliard especially in the 4th so it was dumb for the 'coach' to replace him with 0.9sec left. At least he won't be blamed for this loss.
    Thanks for the vids man! You are my no.1 source for Lin highlights!

      ***** FINALLY, Jeremy don't have to be The Scapegoat for another terrible loss. Well said! It's maybe God's plan to save Lin and to slam the door in front of the arrogant McHale and the Rockets. Where's Harden during the final shot? He wanted to be The Man, uh.. like Lebron... Then he Should be the one guarding Lillard. That's why he will never be like Lebron or even D-Wade or Kobe. If it's D-Wade, he would have been all over Lillard. The game was lost at 15.2 sec left with Harden just holding the ball instead of passing it around to get a better shot. The shot he put up was just terrible.

    Lin was not shooting well like the last game but he made some important plays for the Rockets. Hopefully he can improve his shooting and finishing during the off season.
    Harden sucked on the last play. He just standed there with Matthews and did not switch on Lilliard. It was a catch and shoot situation and it was so clear that Parsons was far behind Lilliard on that play, but Harden just don't have the awareness on this win/lose situation.

  • @ChannelLtoN
    @ChannelLtoN 10 лет назад +21

    McHale has been matching up Lillard and Mo Williams with Lin and Beverley the entire series and he decided to not trust Lin in that last play? Why the hell is Harden on the court in the last remaining defensive play? Why the hell is Parsons, a small forward, guarding a point guard? Shouldn't Beverley or Harden be guarding him? McHale's decisions are mind boggling in that last play.

    in my opinion, it was Harden's fault staying still like a wood rather than going after Lillard while first, he definitely saw Lillard went by and second, it was absolutely highly possible that Lillard would make the final shot.

    Anyone noticed that on the last play if the defense was to rotate who would have been the closest man to Lil? Yup, you got it, it would have been Harden and the dude just stood there and watched while Parsons ran around him to try to catch up to a very speedy PG!!! What an ASS that bearded man is~!

    As a HUGE LIN fans....the only thing I want is he become a better player next season....work on his shots, strength....if he has those skills with that quick first step & passing vision...he will be a great player in any team! The only thing I think is holding LIN's back is he is not strong enough to help him get into the paint & stay consistent for his shots & dribble....

    It's fitting that Rockets's season ends with McHale's irrational benching of Lin. Lin's God trying to tech the Rockets and McHale a lesson. www.jeremylintel.com/2014/05/03/rocketss-season-ends-with-mchales-irrational-benching-of-lin-very-fitting/#comments

    Very winnable series for Rox. The causes were simple throughout series:
    --mediocre head coaching
    --Harden: too much predicable iso, so no fluid ball movements
    No defense from Harden
    --lousy free throws % from DHoward
    Lin s a role player only at this stage, he got plenty improvements to go before he becomes the next Goran Dragic.

  • @berlinluk1
    @berlinluk1 10 лет назад +4

    Lilliard was head nearly scroeless in the 4th by Lin so I have no idea why the coach wasn't get him. And it seemed to me Harden "ordered" Beverly, who is supposed to be the right fit to guard Lilliard, and Parkson to switch positions in the last second! And he let Daniels, who has proven to be too green on the defensive side, to be on the court? Totally massive mistake!!!

  • @goodmushroom
    @goodmushroom 9 лет назад +2

    Lin lacked killer instinct down the stretch, can't knock down those crucial shots. Harden needs to rotate on the last play. This was a hecka of a game! Rockets played good enough to win, too bad they came short.

    Just wondering why McHale keeps on putting Beverley as a starter though he plays not well on the whole in this season. He only lets Jeremy play when any of the starters gets hurt or sick or needs a rest.
    Jeremy needs to improve his shooting accuracy and plays consistently well. If he can overcome these, together with his currently improving skills, he will become a very strong player. Rockets is no good to him, and I pray for his joining a better team in the future after his contract expiry with Rockets.
    Go Jeremy! I pray for his excellent performance in the next game.

    there are many reasons why rockets lost the series, mcfail has no answer for aldrige the first 2 games, harden ice cold for much for the series, harden plays no D, too many TOs, pat bev and asik are liabilities on offense, give up leads in the 4th quarter...list goes on. But overall portland is just a better team, they executed their game plans and their players came through in clutch moments. Hope JLin will be more appreciated next season.

  • @yazmut
    @yazmut 3 года назад

    problem with Huston was that they did not know how to utilize Lin's elite driving abilities. Lin penetrates the paint a high percent of the time he touches the ball, defense collapses but there is rarely a option to hit a cutter or open shooter ...... 🤷

  • @tomphan4906
    @tomphan4906 9 лет назад +1

    I'm only going to comment on the last play since its obvious Lin's 3 taken away was a huge downer.... If you watched the series, Lin was just not put into the position to succeed but when he was in and controlling the ball, the movement was good, all players contributed and Rockets were positive.
    McHale benching Lin and putting a F on Lillard is quite possibly the stupidest decision ever in professional basketball. Ultimately the Defense broke down because Harden didn't rotate, he should have read that and make Lillard go wide out and still be able to stick to his man. Parson's was put into an impossible position to cover quick lillard across double screen.

    @xinzhang9158 10 лет назад +7

    The Spurs has butchered the Blazers in the first 2 games, and that reveals more truth about the Rockets than ever. I bet no Rockets players or fans will admit the Spurs have more talent than the Rockets. Then why oh why can they absolutely destroy the Blazers who were so formidable to the Rockets?
    The only reasonable explanation is the coach and management. Getting another all-star? What a joke. With current coach and management, even 5 all-star players will not bring the Rockets their ring.

    • @xinzhang9158
      @xinzhang9158 10 лет назад +5

      I do mean coach AND management. Everyone knows McHale Sucks, but many people regard Morey as elite GM. I think he is the root cause of the Rockets failure. Their mindset of how to build a championship team is wrong, and it is much more than landing big-shot free agents. With existing management, even Pop will suck in Houston (he won't come in the first place).

    • @SamsonOranda
      @SamsonOranda 10 лет назад +1

    Mchale had no idea how to play D on that last play... he should've switched everything, 3 players should just be planted at three point line...Jones should be blocking the open pass to the shooting not the block LET them throw it inside. Bad coach.

    Harden screwed up BIG time by not switching on the last play. More than likely, Lillard is going to get the ball. Lillard is coming off double screens. There is only .9 sec left in the clock so whoever catches the ball is shooting. You can clearly see Lillard is trying to get the ball, but you are just watching the whole time? You are supposed to help Parsons by switching. If Harden did that, Wes Matthews may get an open shot (alley oop or corner three), but it is a cross court pass and Beverly or Parsons would have picked up Matthews for sure.
    Harden's lack of effort on defense and his defense bball IQ screwed the Rockets. He is supposed to take the best SG title from Kobe Bryant.....what a huge drop off. Kobe can play better defense than Harden at age 35 with bad knees. SMH
    As for Lin...I feel as though he is going to involved in a lot of trade rumors. I like Lin and he plays better defense than people give him credit for, but you are not going to win if he is supposed to be the spark coming off the bench. He has a very high bball IQ and unlike Harden, he tried to hard on defense....but he needs to become a better shooter, finisher, and defender.
    Maybe he will...Lin improved every season. And it is going to be hard to trade him because his salary is back loaded from what I remember.
