@@fabolousg4ever you said you replaced the 8" sub on someones car (back deck)? What olms were used? I have an old 8" kicker sitting around (I had two in the rear deck of my Legend!) I may add an amp but for now want some quality bass. Will the stock amp run a real kicker sub you think?
I will add a 12 separately with amp.

@mrdave777 yeah the back seat can't be folded unless removed even after I see exposed metal frame. Need an idea to convert the back into bed
@@alexgomez1630 Alex. I removed the upper portion of my back seat. Nice entry into trunk. I built up support in the trunk and laid out an air mattress. I put my feet in the trunk and head behind the front seats. It’s very comfortable. If I can further assist, please ask.

Also, for anyone complaining about the TL not having a drop down back seat, please note those beefy strut tower reinforcements behind the back seat. Ill trade some convenience for extra rigidity any time.
I was almost upset when i bought it finding out they didnt fold down until i saw the same thing, definitely makes the body more rigid and since my kids ride in it sometimes ill take it 👍

Thanks for the vid lil bro. I'm going infinity kappa 8 and my nvx 1200.1. (Metered @ 1356w btw)Also nvx line converter tapped from the factory amp for a (bass cut/free) signal. While I have the seats and trunk liner removed gonna dynamat all the metal. Keep bangin!

I have 2003 TL Type S sedan and like to install back up camera (with its own monitor) on back license plate.
do u have any video that describe how to access number plate light wire and draw wire from trunk to back seat and bring on front? I m new to this kind of work.
Just curious, why didn’t you just adjust the remote wire’s location while u had the back seat removed?

Van ypy fit 2 aftermarket 61/2 speakers there with no modifications? It will sound better with stock amp? Thanks
NICE Tutorial! With an aftermarket sub, is it better to leave the factory sub in the rear deck (disconnected, of course) , or should it be removed? Leaving in would reduce road noise sound from trunk when you're trying to keep the cabin quiet, but does the sound pressure from the aftermarket subs make the factory sub cone flap and bottom out or cause any flapping noise? Removing the factory sub would eliminate that and maybe allow the bass to flow more freely into the cabin, but you might hear noise from the trunk when driving and trying to have quiet. What do you think is the best approach?

What video is it that you mentioned to the other guy? I got subs installed wired to my stock sub and the bass fades away here and there. I hit where the speaker is and the bass comes back, might be the wire they used to connect to stock sub loose or something. Appreciate your help

No you can just pull the rear seat forward and reach in and loosen the bolts to take out the rear strut bolts

Lol sundowns are huge you def would have to widen the hole to fit but it could be done.

fabolousg4ever I tied it down i stuffed tons of rags in there and it still rattles when my bass gets loud
A lot of the rattle actually comes from the speaker deck, if you do the removal as shown in this video, you just need to put dynamat all over the rear deck and should be good

I had my rest struts change by a mechanic and I have this rattling in the rear passenger seat that’s driving me crazy! Sigh
check the bolts prob needs tightening .
MODS FOREVER i found out thats it’s the it’s my strut mount, I took the whole back seat out like you did on the video took it for a drive and it’s still rattling.
