Those tires will definitely be fixed in the final product, I would almost bet anything. The prototype is the same exact car they teased all those years ago and I think they just wanted to get some pictures out quick (: I hope to god the BTTF 2 figures are re-released, I have all other BTTF figures either already bought or pre-ordered, but missing those 2!
I really hope so- its weird that the Playmobile ($35) Delorean tilts the tires perfectly so that the bottom of the tires lines up with the bottom of the car, with a kid friendly mechanism, but this much higher grade model has them hanging completely underneath the car like luggage. ugh- I ordered anyways, so my fingers are crossed- (yes, Im responding to a 7 month old comment-LOL)

Great video. Bttf is my favorite movie franchise ever. I have the mark 1 delorean and have used aftermarket parts to add the mr. fusion and stainless steel license plate to make it a mark 2. I preordered the mark 2 so may consider turning it back to the mark 1 so I can display both together in my display case. I’m lucky enough to have both part Two doc and Marty figures since release and I bought the 2.0 Marty this past year. I can’t wait for the rest of the new figures they have available and would love the 1955 versions they teased all those years ago.

I loved your in depth exploration of Hot Toys' DeLorean Marks 1 & 2, one of the best I've watched on RUclips, and I've watched near all of them! I agree with all your points, starting with the placement of the wheels (hopefully they can take a page out from Playmobil's version)! I've preordered Mark 2, the DeLorean is a holy grail for me and I missed Mark 1. I hope they give us collectors options to display the Mark 2 as Mark 1, like removable Mr. Fusion with the detailing from Mark 1 underneath, like you said. I will also look to buy an OUTATIME license plate. I am going to look into making the cables more accurate like you, as well as the tire custom decals from Mike Lane, great tip. One thing you didn't mention is that the lights on the back exhaust should go down to the bottom panel, currently the bottom squares are blacked out. Hopefully Hot Toys corrects everything mentioned, including lighting up the console displays this time. Damn I'm excited to get this!!!

Not an expert between the 3 versions, do you think HT can issue a kit to allow the display of all 3 versions? If its just the wheels, hood and Mr Fusion that are different I think they can do it but are there more differences?
They could but I really don’t think they will. I do think though that if this Mark 2 sells really well that they will make a mark 3 down the road. They already teased one in pictures. That’s what I’m hoping anyway! It’s more profitable for them to make 3 separate dedicated versions.

I think the only thing you left out was the fact that the Hover wheels only illuminate from the bottom. They shouldn't be shining through from the top when in Hover mode. I passed on the original DeLorean in 2016 in favor of the Hover conversion & I'm finally getting my Hover DeLorean!!!! Now that I have space, I really want the Mark 3 as well to go with the BTTF3 figures. I do believe they will release it. Fingers crossed anyway 🤞

If this mark 2 was released last year I could’ve bought 2 🤦🏻♂️ another thing that’s not movie accurate are the 2 tone front and rear panels, they should be a little lighter color close to the whole body of the car. I’m still getting the bttf2 Delorean and hope they reissue the figures also or the alternate outfit when they went back to the past with their disguise.
I already have all the OG figures. If they re release then I am going to have to rebuy. Especially if they make improvements. I’ll just display duplicate figures 😂
Hmm... Have you seen the HotWheels Elite (BLY44) yet? I know size comparison is different HWE it's only 1/18 while yes Hot Toys 1/6, but from what I've heard HWE had Most details closed to the A car Sadly it's got cancelled, but they're scattered online shop with a heapty prices, especially China (since mostly manufactured there, and got slip out the factory)
Yeah I used to have the Elite version, it was detailed well for a 1/18 scale model but almost every paint application on it was the wrong colors. If you go back and look at it and then pics from the movie you will see what I’m taking about. A cheaper option of the 1/18 scale would be by sunstar. They made Mark 1, 2 and 3 and aren’t that bad at all. 👍🏻

But yeah they teas us second gen of it the BLY44 (Ultimate Edition), it's pretty neat that you can change it into 5 version (depending on timeline) of it, which literally yes all of movie The only thing bothered on HWE for me is backside Fluxband is thicken to hide all lights behind it lol
I'd had a suspicious theory that Welly's literally copying the Sunstar mold model but makes it worst And I can say Welly's BTTF is the cheapest but worst BTTF DieCast we can get, even they'd re-release mark 2 with hover mode for it lol But except if we are a modder, I know we fixed that, and I've seen someone doing that
I think I can say with a reasonable amount of certainty that nearly EVERY DeLorean that can hover convert (that is, the wheels move from driving to hovering without parts swapping) has the same problem of the wheels hanging too low. As an owner of a 1/18 Sun Star BTTFII DeLorean, I can vouch for this. While it doesn’t bother me so much, I can see how some might be perturbed by this. (I’m trying to get a good 1/18 Ecto-1, but the ones on the market now can’t hold a candle to the Hot Wheels Elite Version…which I think is out of print) CORRECTION: I almost forgot about the Playmobil version. Those wheels are on a hinge, so they don’t need to be pushed out to turn down. But I have…other issues with that release… (Chief among them being “Why in God’s name did this NOT release when I was little?!”)
Haha I talk about the play mobile version in the video and the flex bands light up! I had both the ecto 1 and ecto 1a 1/18 Elite Hot Wheels and they were amazing but ended up selling them for the 1984 blitzway Ecto 1.

I don’t think any model DeLorean has ever gotten the wheel mechanism right. It’s supposed to be pull out straight, flip down.
