*Shaivism* is one of the major traditions within Sanatan Dharma that focuses on the worship of Bhagwan Shiva as the supreme god. It emphasizes devotion to Shiva, who is often depicted as both a destroyer and a creator, symbolizing the cyclical nature of the universe. Shaivism incorporates a range of philosophies, practices, and rituals, including meditation, mantras, and asceticism, aiming for spiritual liberation (moksha). There are various schools within Shaivism, such as Kashmir Shaivism, which focuses on non-dualism, and Shaiva Siddhanta, which has a dualistic approach, where Shiva and the soul are distinct but related. Kashmir Shaivism is a distinctive and philosophical school of Shaivism that originated in the Kashmir Valley, particularly between the 8th and 12th centuries CE. It is known for its non-dual (Advaita) approach to the nature of reality, emphasizing the idea that the individual soul (Atman) and the supreme consciousness (Shiva or Parabrahman) are ultimately one. This school of thought is sometimes referred to as Trika philosophy or Kashmir Shaiva Vedanta. Key Concepts: *1. Non-Dualism (Advaita):* Kashmir Shaivism teaches that everything in the universe, from the physical to the spiritual, is a manifestation of Shiva. The apparent separation between the self and the divine is considered an illusion (Maya). Ultimate realization is understanding that one's true nature is the same as Shiva's. *2. Shiva as the Supreme Reality:* In this tradition, Shiva is not just a god but the ultimate reality, often referred to as Parabrahman or Chit (consciousness). He is both the creator and the essence of the universe, transcending dualistic notions of existence and non-existence. *3. Spanda:* One of the core concepts in Kashmir Shaivism is Spanda, which refers to the "divine pulse" or "vibration" that underlies all of reality. This dynamic energy is seen as the source of creation and sustenance, a constant flow of divine consciousness. *4. Shakti and Shiva:* In Kashmir Shaivism, there is an emphasis on the interplay between Shiva (the consciousness) and Shakti (the dynamic energy or power). Shakti is the active principle that allows Shiva to manifest and create the universe. Without Shakti, Shiva remains unmanifest. *5. The Role of the Guru:* As with many other schools of Shaivism, Kashmir Shaivism places great importance on the role of the Guru (spiritual teacher). The Guru is seen as a living embodiment of Shiva's consciousness, guiding the disciple to self-realization. *6. The Importance of Practice:* Meditation and mantra recitation are key practices in Kashmir Shaivism. The use of specific techniques to still the mind, focus on the divine, and understand the nature of reality is central to its spiritual path. The Kundalini or inner energy is often awakened during this process, leading to higher states of consciousness. *7. The Shiva Sutras:* The Shiva Sutras are a key text in Kashmir Shaivism. They present a series of aphorisms that provide insight into the nature of reality, consciousness, and the path to liberation. The text is a guide to understanding the philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism. _Philosophical Framework:_ Kashmir Shaivism's metaphysical system involves a concept known as Prakasha-Vimarsha, which means "illumination and reflection." This describes the process by which the supreme consciousness (Shiva) both illuminates (Prakasha) and reflects upon itself (Vimarsha), creating the universe and all its phenomena.
*The Mundaka Upanishad* is a key text in the Atharvaveda, and it explores the nature of ultimate reality, the self (Atman), and the path to spiritual liberation (Moksha). It consists of three chapters (Kandas), each containing a set of teachings that guide one towards self-realization and understanding the supreme truth (Brahman). Here's a summary of the Mundaka Upanishad in points: Key Teachings of the Mundaka Upanishad: 1. The Two Types of Knowledge (Vidya): Para Vidya (Higher Knowledge): Knowledge of the supreme reality, Brahman, which leads to liberation. This knowledge is transcendental, direct, and spiritual. Apara Vidya (Lower Knowledge): Knowledge of the physical world, rituals, and sciences. While important, it is limited and does not lead to Moksha. 2. The Nature of Brahman (Supreme Reality): Brahman is the ultimate, unchanging reality, both immanent and transcendent. It is the source of all creation and the essence of all beings. Brahman is nirguna (without attributes) and nirakara (without form). Everything in the universe is a manifestation of Brahman, and understanding this is the key to liberation. 3. The Two Paths to Liberation: Path of Knowledge (Jnana Yoga): By realizing one's true self (Atman) and understanding its oneness with Brahman, a person can attain liberation (Moksha). Path of Action (Karma Yoga): Selfless action, performed without attachment to the results, helps purify the mind and prepares the individual for spiritual knowledge. 4. The Symbol of the "Tree of Creation": The universe is compared to a tree whose roots are in the imperishable Brahman, and its branches represent the different aspects of creation. The tree symbolizes the interconnectedness of all things, and the goal is to understand the "roots" (Brahman) through meditation and knowledge. 5. The Role of the Guru (Teacher): The Upanishad emphasizes the importance of a qualified guru for imparting the knowledge of Brahman. The teacher must be well-versed in spiritual wisdom, and the student must be sincere and dedicated to learning. The teacher helps the student attain self-realization and directs them towards understanding the ultimate truth. 6. The Process of Creation: The Upanishad explains the process of creation, stating that the world and its phenomena come from the unmanifested Brahman. Everything in creation, including the physical universe and all living beings, is an expression of this singular source. 7. The Three States of Consciousness: The Upanishad describes the three states of consciousness: Jagrat (Waking state): The state of external awareness and interaction with the material world. Svapna (Dream state): The state of internal awareness, where the mind processes impressions and experiences from the waking state. Sushupti (Deep sleep state): A state of profound rest, where the individual experiences pure consciousness, without the influence of the external world or internal thoughts. The fourth state (Turiya) is the transcendental state, beyond these three, where one realizes the unity of Atman with Brahman. 8. The Story of the Sun and the Fire: The Mundaka Upanishad describes how all living beings, even gods, are nourished by the eternal fire, which is metaphorically Brahman. The fire represents the cosmic energy that sustains the universe. 9. The Atman and the Supreme Brahman: The Atman (individual soul) is distinct from the physical body and mind. The Upanishad teaches that Atman is eternal, indestructible, and non-dual with Brahman. The realization of this oneness is key to liberation. The famous verse "Tat Tvam Asi" ("That Thou Art") asserts the unity of the individual soul and the Supreme Being. 10. Self-Realization and Liberation (Moksha): The ultimate goal of life, according to the Upanishad, is to realize the Self (Atman) as non-different from Brahman and attain Moksha (liberation). Moksha is freedom from the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (samsara) and the realization of one's true nature as eternal, pure consciousness. 11. The Role of Meditation (Dhyana): Meditation is emphasized as an essential tool for self-realization. By focusing the mind on the inner self (Atman), a person can experience the transcendental nature of Brahman and transcend worldly illusions. 12. The Concept of "Om" (Aum): The sacred syllable "Om" is described as the sound symbol of Brahman, representing the whole of creation and the ultimate reality. It is a powerful tool in meditation, helping one to connect with the cosmic consciousness. Summary of Key Verses and Concepts: 1. Mundaka 1.1.1: The importance of higher knowledge (Para Vidya) in realizing the oneness with Brahman. 2. Mundaka 1.2.12: The two birds perched on a tree metaphor: one bird eats the fruits (the ego-self), while the other (representing the Self) remains detached and witnesses the experience. 3. Mundaka 2.1.1: Knowledge of Brahman is the key to achieving liberation and freedom from the cycle of rebirth. 4. Mundaka 3.2.9: The statement "Tat Tvam Asi" (That Thou Art) encapsulates the realization of the unity of Atman and Brahman. Conclusion: The Mundaka Upanishad presents a powerful and practical guide to spiritual knowledge, focusing on the path of self-realization through knowledge (Jnana Yoga) and meditation. It emphasizes the importance of understanding the true nature of the self (Atman) as identical to Brahman, and through this realization, one attains liberation (Moksha) and freedom from the cycle of birth and rebirth.
*Darshan Shaastra:* Darshan means to see or experience in particular. Different sages wrote different scriptures by their own experience. _There are two types of Darshan in Sanatan Dharma. Vedic Darshan and non-Vedic philosophy._ *Vedic* _Vedic Darshan accepts the Vedas as word proof. Six philosophies were written on the basis of the Vedas. Sankhya Philosophy - Kapila Muni Yoga Philosophy - Rishi Patanjali Philosophy of Justice - Gautama Muni Vaisheshika Philosophy - Sage Kanada Former Mimansa - Jaimini Muni Northern Mimansa (Vedanta Philosophy) - Badrayana Vyasa _In the Middle Ages, 6 sects of Vedanta philosophy were formed - Advaita, Dvaita, Vishishtadvaita, Dvaitadvaita, Shuddhadvaita and Tattvavada. Of these, Advaita Vedanta is the most prevalent sect today. Adi Shankaracharya, Madhvacharya, Ramanujacharya, Nimbarkacharya, Vallabhacharya and others were their representative thinkers. *Non-Vedic:* _Non-Vedic Darshan do not accept the Vedas in word proof. They say that the Vedas may and may not be the proof. Non-Vedic Darshan is Jain Darshan Buddhist Darshan Charvaka Darshan
Puja patil really your undestanding, reading is great well some one is there in maharastra who is understanding our knowledge in this socalled modern age

*The Prashna Upanishad* is a small but important text from the Atharvaveda, consisting of six questions (prashnas) posed by students to the sage Pippalada. These questions address fundamental concepts related to creation, the self, and the nature of the ultimate reality. Here’s a summary of its key teachings in points: Key Teachings of the Prashna Upanishad: 1. The Nature of the Supreme Reality (Brahman): The Upanishad begins with the idea that the Supreme Reality, Brahman, is the source of all creation, and everything is ultimately interconnected through this oneness. The universe and individual souls (Atman) are expressions of Brahman. 2. The Role of Prana (Vital Energy): One of the key themes of the Upanishad is the importance of Prana (the life force or vital energy) as the fundamental principle that sustains all living beings. Prana is shown as the essence of creation, and it is through the movement of Prana that the universe operates. 3. The Process of Creation: The Upanishad discusses the creation of the world, explaining that everything originates from Brahman. The cosmos evolves through the interplay of Prana and the elements (earth, water, fire, air, and ether). Creation occurs as a result of the union of Purusha (cosmic consciousness) and Prakriti (material nature). 4. The Five Pranas: The Upanishad highlights the five types of Pranas: Prana (the primary breath or life force) Apana (the downward-moving breath, responsible for elimination) Samana (the breath responsible for digestion) Udana (the upward-moving breath, associated with speech and expression) Vyana (the circulating breath, which distributes energy throughout the body) 5. The Relationship Between the Body and the Soul (Atman): The Prashna Upanishad explains the connection between the body and the soul. The soul (Atman) resides in the body and governs it through the Pranas. The ultimate goal is to realize the unity of the individual soul with the Supreme Consciousness (Brahman). 6. The Power of Meditation and Knowledge: Through meditation and self-awareness, a person can transcend the limited identification with the body and mind and realize their oneness with Brahman. Knowledge (Jnana) leads to liberation (Moksha). 7. The Nature of the Self (Atman) and Its Immortality: The Upanishad emphasizes that the true Self (Atman) is eternal and beyond the limitations of the physical body. The Atman is unaffected by birth, death, or decay, and realizing this truth is key to attaining spiritual freedom. 8. The Importance of Seeking Knowledge: The students in the Upanishad seek knowledge from the sage Pippalada to understand the nature of the universe, the self, and the ultimate reality. The Upanishad teaches that asking the right questions and seeking wisdom leads to enlightenment. 9. The Four States of Consciousness: The Upanishad describes the four states of consciousness: Jagrat (waking state) Swapna (dream state) Sushupti (deep sleep state) Turiya (the fourth state, representing the transcendental, pure consciousness beyond the other three states, the state of realization of Brahman) 10. Liberation (Moksha): Ultimately, the Prashna Upanishad asserts that through knowledge, self-inquiry, and meditation, one can attain liberation (Moksha), breaking free from the cycle of birth and death (samsara). Summary of the Questions and Answers: 1st Question: What is the cause of creation? - Answer: The Supreme Brahman, manifesting through Prana. 2nd Question: What is the role of the Pranas in sustaining life? - Answer: They control all bodily functions and are vital for life. 3rd Question: How is the individual soul related to the Supreme? - Answer: The soul is one with Brahman, though it appears separate due to ignorance. 4th Question: What happens after death? - Answer: The soul moves according to its karma and reaches a higher or lower state. 5th Question: What is the ultimate truth? - Answer: The realization of the unity between Atman and Brahman leads to liberation. 6th Question: How can one attain liberation? - Answer: Through the realization of the true self (Atman) and the nature of Brahman. The Prashna Upanishad emphasizes knowledge, meditation, and understanding the deeper truths of life and the universe as the path to liberation.

Here's a summary of the Mundaka Upanishad in points:
Key Teachings of the Mundaka Upanishad:
1. The Two Types of Knowledge (Vidya):
Para Vidya (Higher Knowledge): Knowledge of the supreme reality, Brahman, which leads to liberation. This knowledge is transcendental, direct, and spiritual.
Apara Vidya (Lower Knowledge): Knowledge of the physical world, rituals, and sciences. While important, it is limited and does not lead to Moksha.
2. The Nature of Brahman (Supreme Reality):
Brahman is the ultimate, unchanging reality, both immanent and transcendent. It is the source of all creation and the essence of all beings.
Brahman is nirguna (without attributes) and nirakara (without form). Everything in the universe is a manifestation of Brahman, and understanding this is the key to liberation.
3. The Two Paths to Liberation:
Path of Knowledge (Jnana Yoga): By realizing one's true self (Atman) and understanding its oneness with Brahman, a person can attain liberation (Moksha).
Path of Action (Karma Yoga): Selfless action, performed without attachment to the results, helps purify the mind and prepares the individual for spiritual knowledge.
4. The Symbol of the "Tree of Creation":
The universe is compared to a tree whose roots are in the imperishable Brahman, and its branches represent the different aspects of creation. The tree symbolizes the interconnectedness of all things, and the goal is to understand the "roots" (Brahman) through meditation and knowledge.
5. The Role of the Guru (Teacher):
The Upanishad emphasizes the importance of a qualified guru for imparting the knowledge of Brahman. The teacher must be well-versed in spiritual wisdom, and the student must be sincere and dedicated to learning.
The teacher helps the student attain self-realization and directs them towards understanding the ultimate truth.
6. The Process of Creation:
The Upanishad explains the process of creation, stating that the world and its phenomena come from the unmanifested Brahman. Everything in creation, including the physical universe and all living beings, is an expression of this singular source.
7. The Three States of Consciousness:
The Upanishad describes the three states of consciousness:
Jagrat (Waking state): The state of external awareness and interaction with the material world.
8. The Story of the Sun and the Fire:
The Mundaka Upanishad describes how all living beings, even gods, are nourished by the eternal fire, which is metaphorically Brahman. The fire represents the cosmic energy that sustains the universe.
9. The Atman and the Supreme Brahman:
The Atman (individual soul) is distinct from the physical body and mind. The Upanishad teaches that Atman is eternal, indestructible, and non-dual with Brahman. The realization of this oneness is key to liberation.
The famous verse "Tat Tvam Asi" ("That Thou Art") asserts the unity of the individual soul and the Supreme Being.
10. Self-Realization and Liberation (Moksha):
The ultimate goal of life, according to the Upanishad, is to realize the Self (Atman) as non-different from Brahman and attain Moksha (liberation).
Moksha is freedom from the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (samsara) and the realization of one's true nature as eternal, pure consciousness.
11. The Role of Meditation (Dhyana):
Meditation is emphasized as an essential tool for self-realization. By focusing the mind on the inner self (Atman), a person can experience the transcendental nature of Brahman and transcend worldly illusions.
12. The Concept of "Om" (Aum):
The sacred syllable "Om" is described as the sound symbol of Brahman, representing the whole of creation and the ultimate reality. It is a powerful tool in meditation, helping one to connect with the cosmic consciousness.
Summary of Key Verses and Concepts:
Conclusion:
The Mundaka Upanishad presents a powerful and practical guide to spiritual knowledge, focusing on the path of self-realization through knowledge (Jnana Yoga) and meditation. It emphasizes the importance of understanding the true nature of the self (Atman) as identical to Brahman, and through this realization, one attains liberation (Moksha) and freedom from the cycle of birth and rebirth.
2 paths to liberation? Aren't there 4 of them?
आप धन्य है देवी! ❤❤We require more like you. But i require one like you for taking the divine knowledge ..😊
*Darshan Shaastra:*
Darshan means to see or experience in particular. Different sages wrote different scriptures by their own experience.
_There are two types of Darshan in Sanatan Dharma. Vedic Darshan and non-Vedic philosophy._
*Vedic*
_Vedic Darshan accepts the Vedas as word proof. Six philosophies were written on the basis of the Vedas.
Sankhya Philosophy - Kapila Muni
Yoga Philosophy - Rishi Patanjali
Philosophy of Justice - Gautama Muni
Vaisheshika Philosophy - Sage Kanada
Former Mimansa - Jaimini Muni
Northern Mimansa (Vedanta Philosophy) - Badrayana Vyasa
_In the Middle Ages, 6 sects of Vedanta philosophy were formed - Advaita, Dvaita, Vishishtadvaita, Dvaitadvaita, Shuddhadvaita and Tattvavada. Of these, Advaita Vedanta is the most prevalent sect today. Adi Shankaracharya, Madhvacharya, Ramanujacharya, Nimbarkacharya, Vallabhacharya and others were their representative thinkers.
*Non-Vedic:*
_Non-Vedic Darshan do not accept the Vedas in word proof. They say that the Vedas may and may not be the proof. Non-Vedic Darshan is
Jain Darshan
Buddhist Darshan
Charvaka Darshan

*The Prashna Upanishad* is a small but important text from the Atharvaveda, consisting of six questions (prashnas) posed by students to the sage Pippalada. These questions address fundamental concepts related to creation, the self, and the nature of the ultimate reality. Here’s a summary of its key teachings in points:
Key Teachings of the Prashna Upanishad:
1. The Nature of the Supreme Reality (Brahman):
The Upanishad begins with the idea that the Supreme Reality, Brahman, is the source of all creation, and everything is ultimately interconnected through this oneness. The universe and individual souls (Atman) are expressions of Brahman.
2. The Role of Prana (Vital Energy):
One of the key themes of the Upanishad is the importance of Prana (the life force or vital energy) as the fundamental principle that sustains all living beings. Prana is shown as the essence of creation, and it is through the movement of Prana that the universe operates.
3. The Process of Creation:
The Upanishad discusses the creation of the world, explaining that everything originates from Brahman. The cosmos evolves through the interplay of Prana and the elements (earth, water, fire, air, and ether). Creation occurs as a result of the union of Purusha (cosmic consciousness) and Prakriti (material nature).
4. The Five Pranas:
The Upanishad highlights the five types of Pranas:
Prana (the primary breath or life force)
Apana (the downward-moving breath, responsible for elimination)
Samana (the breath responsible for digestion)
Udana (the upward-moving breath, associated with speech and expression)
Vyana (the circulating breath, which distributes energy throughout the body)
5. The Relationship Between the Body and the Soul (Atman):
The Prashna Upanishad explains the connection between the body and the soul. The soul (Atman) resides in the body and governs it through the Pranas. The ultimate goal is to realize the unity of the individual soul with the Supreme Consciousness (Brahman).
6. The Power of Meditation and Knowledge:
Through meditation and self-awareness, a person can transcend the limited identification with the body and mind and realize their oneness with Brahman. Knowledge (Jnana) leads to liberation (Moksha).
7. The Nature of the Self (Atman) and Its Immortality:
The Upanishad emphasizes that the true Self (Atman) is eternal and beyond the limitations of the physical body. The Atman is unaffected by birth, death, or decay, and realizing this truth is key to attaining spiritual freedom.
8. The Importance of Seeking Knowledge:
The students in the Upanishad seek knowledge from the sage Pippalada to understand the nature of the universe, the self, and the ultimate reality. The Upanishad teaches that asking the right questions and seeking wisdom leads to enlightenment.
9. The Four States of Consciousness:
The Upanishad describes the four states of consciousness:
Jagrat (waking state)
Swapna (dream state)
Sushupti (deep sleep state)
Turiya (the fourth state, representing the transcendental, pure consciousness beyond the other three states, the state of realization of Brahman)
10. Liberation (Moksha):
Ultimately, the Prashna Upanishad asserts that through knowledge, self-inquiry, and meditation, one can attain liberation (Moksha), breaking free from the cycle of birth and death (samsara).
Summary of the Questions and Answers:
1st Question: What is the cause of creation?

Duality explained very beautifully.
"Sukh aur dukh dono koshish kartehe hmara meditation todneka."👌
Also ego explanationed wonderfully.
"Since we identify 'I" with money or family or country etc. reduction or expansion of any, will make the 'I" feel smaller or bigger respectively."
This conversation between two incredibly humble and grounded individuals is truly remarkable. I greatly appreciate it. Abhey Ji possesses profound knowledge, and Vishal Ji demonstrates a deep understanding of that wisdom. It's inspiring to witness their connection and mutual respect.
Thanks a lot🙏❤
