As a Turkish person who is living in America understand that how he is missing turkish food and feel like home when he eats it. People doesnt know how tasty turkish foods are
i used to come to Turkey on vacation with my family when i was a kid, but it was a long time ago and i recently visited Istanbul after many years not being there and damn, the food is absolutely fantastic! Didn't really like the city itself that much, but i think that if i'd have to choose to live in a country only for it's food, Turkey would be in top 3 on the list. The meat, the ice-cream, the sweets, just thinking about it makes me want to go back!
I think, in this episode, her appreciation of food really shows...especially because she can finally eat the food she is presenting! "Wow! You really love food!" It was great to see how happy he was to share a taste of home and he seemed to appreciate how much she really enjoyed it.

there is wonderful döner in turkey. they slice the meat in maybe 1-2 mm layers and marinate in milk, onion and spices. a hell of work for the workers but the consistency is just unique because of the very thin slices. the most döner all over the world is crap, especially in germany where 99% of the döner shops provide prefabricated frozen döner kebab containing processed ground meat.

OMG! The Restaurant doesn't have a COMMISSARY. Where I work, the Marinated Chicken Shawarma is delivered in bags that are inside buckets. It takes 3 buckets or more to pile up a SKEWER and I'd do one or two of those in a shift, depending on how busy it is. I love how they combine the patties and thin slices of meat together. The challenge with Chicken is that I need to remove the residual bones. Otherwise those would be choking hazards. Customers can lose their teeth or die from choking. We've taken extra precautions to avoid those things. Thank you! This video has been very educational.
@@unwisemind1339 The only problem I have with Chicken Shawarma Skewer is that if the Butchers at the Commissary may have been behind schedule or if they are lazy, then what is delivered to us are marinated Chicken Shawarma wrapped in plastic and put on buckets with so much bone residue. UnWise Mind You are absolutely right. But where I work, we’ll cut the chicken from the skewer from top to bottom & finish cooking the Shawarma on Flat Top Grills. It’s the only way we can ensure that the meat is thoroughly cooked. In Israel, the Cooks would stop the rotation of the Roasting Spit to really cook the Lamb Meat. They will cut the only on the side which was cooked.

OMG! The Restaurant doesn't have a COMMISSARY. Where I work, the Marinated Chicken Shawarma is delivered in bags that are inside buckets. It takes 3 buckets or more to pile up a SKEWER and I'd do one or two of those in a shift, depending on how busy it is. I love how they combine the patties and thin slices of meat together. The challenge with Chicken is that I need to remove the residual bones. Otherwise those would be choking hazards. Customers can lose their teeth or die from choking. We've taken extra precautions to avoid those things. Thank you! This video has been very educational.
@@unwisemind1339 The only problem I have with Chicken Shawarma Skewer is that if the Butchers at the Commissary may have been behind schedule or if they are lazy, then what is delivered to us are marinated Chicken Shawarma wrapped in plastic and put on buckets with so much bone residue. I have so much to do and that takes time.
UnWise Mind You are absolutely right. But where I work, we’ll cut the chicken from the skewer from top to bottom & finish cooking the Shawarma on Flat Top Grills. It’s the only way we can ensure that the meat is thoroughly cooked. In Israel, the Cooks would stop the rotation of the Roasting Spit to really cook the Lamb Meat. They will cut the only on the side which was cooked.
