Idk man, bahamut was able to destroy a fucking planet with all those flare attacks and could still keep them coming in a different FF game. Donald did just one really powerful flare and died.
Precisely my thoughts the first time I saw how we receive Shiva. I immediatly felt the same hype when I found out that they added KOTR as a boss for Final Fantasy XIV, and I hope they blow our minds with some hard fight to receive the materia in the Remake.
One thing I love about Bahamut's Mega Flare is the countdown, its foreboding and just shows as a command letting you know he's closer to reaching it every time it goes down.
This was my first final fantasy (technically XIV but it’s an MMO) and I had a freaking blast playing through the game. Growing up, FFs never caught my attention and I always wondered why there were so many FF games, I’m glad this game was my first because it made me change my view on the franchise! FF7 Remake is awesome!
I loved this theme for Bahamut. Its named for that dumb horse and driver Eligor, but it honestly should've been exclusively for Bahamut. The start of the fight, music, along with the stance of Bahamut makes you realize, this is a battle you can't take lightly.
If Bahamut looks like this what will my favorite dragon Bahamut Zero look like?! 😱 And even Neo Bahamut?! And I always did like Cloud's reactions to being knocked out. That "God!! Ahh!" fits him! And Barret's reactions when hit too. I beat him myself when I did another playthrough sometime ago. Quite a fun, but challenging fight which I can appreciate. I love good challenges from my favorite games. Had the same team but Barret and Aerith both survived. Aerith's Limit Breaks helped a lot too.
I beat Bahamut without rescuing Aerith yet. I used Cloud and Tifa to build up stagger by using Focus Thrust and Star Shower, and Barrett to keep up heals on everyone. Then when their limits reached I used everyone's limit to get Bahamut staggered. Then I attacked on stagger. Didn't kill him on stagger but kept doing the same things and finally beat it.
finally unlocked and beat him last night. It took two tries and I had to use arise twice and another phoenix down but I did it with just Tifa and Cloud
Near for the game to have you fight the summons as bosses. But I am a half-interested and half-concerned how they are going to pull off the Hades and especially Knights of the Round summons/fights without accidentally making it too similar to the FFXIV versions (or FFXV for the latter case).
There'll probably be a big ole cauldron in the middle of the battlefield and Hades will run around and do physical attacks while casting status inducing spells from the cauldron. And you can damage the cauldron and spill the contents to stop the spells if only for a bit. Lol idk.
3 mins into battle. No Focused Shots, Steelskin or Lifesaver used by Barret. No Familiars summoned by Aerith. Not even the equiping of ATB Boost. Hell, not even using Regen on teammates, or a Magnify-Cure combo. Disappointing.
Lol barely no one cares about vi,ff7 is the most famous ff square ever made,and ix is the most loved one for fans,also x and xii are both way more famous than vi.

Its set on barrier because they're using prayer to heal and giving individual heals. They can cast manawall on the whole party for just 20 MP and 1 ATB bar, and they can heal the whole party for just 2 ATB bars
@@zman2748 He only needed 1 turbo ether, better to curaga in case Bahamut hits them hard just before they get healed. At this stage in the game there's no point saving elixir's and turbo ether's. You lose some ATB but keeping your health up up is more important, you get the ATB loss back if you're right even once overhealing.
@@MalletFace9898 This is right, pound for pound Barrier and such end up saving for more damage than a Curaga heal, and it's proactive instead of reactive. Meanwhile Bahamut has a lot of single-target nukes, better to heal single targets than the whole team. If they are KO'ed instantly that's a huge loss in ATB, so it's better to use defensive magic to keep them standing in this instance.
I saw some popular streamer that "likes fighting games" solo him with cloud, manawall reduces the dmg, and we all know only donald's instant kills cause its a zetta but terranort survived cause sora time traveled lol.
I beat this boss with only two characters (Cloud and Aerith) first attempt on hard mode chapter 9. Super easy, Aerith did almost all the work using soul drain with cloud casting haste. GL
Tbh I cheesed every boss fight with her her magic attack with the mythril rod is insanely high and arcane ward plus any attack spell will defeat your opponents quickly
At which chapter did you fight him ? Cause i dont remember a chapter where you can take cloud barret and aerith together, i just can take cloud barret and tifa at chapter 16 or 17 (dont remember exactly) when chadley is front of the battle simulator
Wea Gui inn not there yet myself. I’ve just got to the Shinra building after fighting him in chapter 16 (I did a lot of grinding at this stage) and getting my ass whooped on both occasions. You see at the end of of video though that this person is in the Shinra building so there’s probably some more stuff you can do to and get to make this fight a little easier than taking bahumet on in chapter 16.
I actually just beat it in the 2nd try, was very simple, I was avoiding this fight cause I thought it was going to be súper hard, but the count down didnt even get to 3...my team was Tifa - Cloud - Barret, I just kept unbalancing it with Disorder (Cloud) and kept Tifa beating the crap out of it...filled stagger as much as I could when off balance, then it just took 1 stagger and then Starshower before Dolphin Flurry (to make it stronger) and the guy was out, didnt get hit by Magaflare and he barely hit my party,, Tifa was immune to fire (Elemental + Fire on armor) and she was hitting all the time and kept all aggro on her...I honestly was not expecting to win so simple
What level were you??? I just beat the bastard at the end of Ch. 14, and it was literally hell on earth for me. The only thing that got me through was Tifa having Magnify and Manawall. Barret and Cloud were able to tank the Mega Flare bc of it. I also gave them lots of HP Up materia too. Tifa was level 36, and Cloud/Barret were level 37. I’m not lying when I say it was the hardest FF fight ever for me. I wanted to split my TV in half after the fifth try (and it took me over 50 times till I beat this stupid dragon).
mary and Rebellion Well... considering that the simulation version is basically a cheap copy of the original, and the Materia Summon has a fraction of the power that the original Bahamut had, I don’t think you’d actually get close in the first fifteen battles. You’d probably beat him... after about fifty battles where you know exactly what he’s going to throw at you and when.
I dont use to insult nor offend but this must be one of the most stupid and non sense comments Ive seen. But by far I dont even know what to answer just felt so disgusting reading it. Edit: its so stupid man... if you do pay attention the battle is not "real" (they decided to get most of the summons this way design wise to find an efficient way to get them) but once you get the materia that its literally real as its created being as real as the Ifrit you found. Really non sense shit message.
Wow, it looked so confusing at first. I want to get this game. I think I will. Once Leviathan was summoned, I was so in tune with the new battle system, I was fully able to catch up on how it's being played and thinking back to the original game and agreeing with everything. Probably what I'd end up doing. I remember these weapons and titans were pure endurance and really good practice on your fighting skills.
I probably beaten this fight the wrong way,I was lvl 47 and I had Tifa,Barrett,and Cloud where I would do decent magic dmg with cloud,Tifa would provide items heals and a distraction for Bahumat moves for his divebomb and umbral attacks(with parry,she can dodge almost every attack). As soon as Bahamut was at the end of his countdown I would use magnify manawall with Barrett to survive mega flare. The only real damage I would do is with everyone’s limit. It was the best and most brutal boss I’ve faced lmao
@@ericbonneville4819 Nope. You can do it in chapter 17 if you've completed all the Battle Intel missions/sidequests by then. Takes a while since the "Revive" materia has to be mastered as part of one of the missions, and it takes FOREVER to master it, even with "AP Up" materia linked. I had to grind in the Shinra battle sim in chapter 16 for several hours just to finish that off. I went from LV 38 to LV 48 just while grinding to master that materia there 😂
This fight ruined almost all the joy I had with the game. Shiva, the Fat Chocobo and Leviathan are all manageable on Normal. Then you get to the Bahamut fight and it's like somebody set the game to Nightmare Mode.
@@KazuhasKatana In a way, that is rude, but not incorrect. Bahamut is manageable, even before beating the game first time with a purpose build to your party. The key things I found were first want magic defense gear. Then, have somebody with magnify on a maxed cure, with other two party members having a backup cure. Your ranged combatant needs to be able to cast manaward and have refocus materia. Then equip chakras and prayer Materia. The more you can non MP heal, the better. With that setup, you can pretty much endurance out most attacks, changing party members to provoke attacks from focus off one person. Your refocus materia person? Have em cast manawards as countdown hits one. Have your magnified curaga cast as soon as the megaflare starts. This drops damage from em down to the 4000s so most players who didnt rush it can take the hit. Dont bring any offensive materia spells. Just use self buffs. Keep those ATS bars full so you can cast your prayers/chakras right after megaflare hits. On my first successful victory, it was first time trying this strategy. Lvl 41s, hp was 2x at 5.8k with barrett at 7k hp. It very much is a tactical battle to play smart to keep the endurance up, do not try to race through the fight. While hits hard, is predictable and controllable. So if you don't burn through your MP fast and keep the bars full so you can quickly respond, then it is just a matter of focus and patience. That setup run, don't even remember anybody getting KOed... well actually, cloud might have gotten knocked out once but got really close to a TPK a couple times which is when I started spamming the cures etc and why I recommend keeping the bars full.
how do you have aerith and barret in your party? i just finished the game but i dont recall a particular time where aerith and barret were in the same party O.o
i just hit em with fire level 3 and kept healing, what they don't tell you on hard mode you can use items in this fight only!!!!....so all the elixirs you same up will help with this fight...but i beat him on 3rd try with a full team, tried solo, duo then finally 3rd time with full team after i made it back to sector 5 after the collapse on hard mode...he will nuke you at least once but if you survive just quickly heal and use arise so members come back with full health and use elixirs after your MP drops

Yeah both barret and aerith clutched me the victory in this fight barret to survive a mega flare and aerith with arcane ward and curaga/thundaga
I just cast manaward first. Then they all can tank it.
50 to 55. They can actually all survive even if it's barely. Barret and Aerith both lived through two Megaflares.
Wouldn’t have beat him at lvl 42 without Barret. Having him magnify and mana wall is the winning combo.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Donald Duck is canonically more powerful than Bahamut.

So, there IS a way to survive Bahamut's Mega Flare!! I thought it was an insta-kill, no matter how much hp or spell buffs you have on you.

It only changes when you fight him in a special battle that's on hard mode by default. That fight is for the secret boss of the game

You need to complete all battle intels then Chadley will give it to you as a VR mission.... I hope you've been leveling up your revival materia

I actually just beat it in the 2nd try, was very simple, I was avoiding this fight cause I thought it was going to be súper hard, but the count down didnt even get to 3...my team was Tifa - Cloud - Barret, I just kept unbalancing it with Disorder (Cloud) and kept Tifa beating the crap out of it...filled stagger as much as I could when off balance, then it just took 1 stagger and then Starshower before Dolphin Flurry (to make it stronger) and the guy was out, didnt get hit by Magaflare and he barely hit my party,, Tifa was immune to fire (Elemental + Fire on armor) and she was hitting all the time and kept all aggro on her...I honestly was not expecting to win so simple

What level were you??? I just beat the bastard at the end of Ch. 14, and it was literally hell on earth for me. The only thing that got me through was Tifa having Magnify and Manawall. Barret and Cloud were able to tank the Mega Flare bc of it. I also gave them lots of HP Up materia too. Tifa was level 36, and Cloud/Barret were level 37.
I’m not lying when I say it was the hardest FF fight ever for me. I wanted to split my TV in half after the fifth try (and it took me over 50 times till I beat this stupid dragon).

mary and Rebellion Well... considering that the simulation version is basically a cheap copy of the original, and the Materia Summon has a fraction of the power that the original Bahamut had, I don’t think you’d actually get close in the first fifteen battles. You’d probably beat him... after about fifty battles where you know exactly what he’s going to throw at you and when.

Edit: its so stupid man... if you do pay attention the battle is not "real" (they decided to get most of the summons this way design wise to find an efficient way to get them) but once you get the materia that its literally real as its created being as real as the Ifrit you found.

Wow, it looked so confusing at first. I want to get this game. I think I will. Once Leviathan was summoned, I was so in tune with the new battle system, I was fully able to catch up on how it's being played and thinking back to the original game and agreeing with everything. Probably what I'd end up doing.
I remember these weapons and titans were pure endurance and really good practice on your fighting skills.
Although I'd use Regen more often and keep using up the items.
I probably beaten this fight the wrong way,I was lvl 47 and I had Tifa,Barrett,and Cloud where I would do decent magic dmg with cloud,Tifa would provide items heals and a distraction for Bahumat moves for his divebomb and umbral attacks(with parry,she can dodge almost every attack). As soon as Bahamut was at the end of his countdown I would use magnify manawall with Barrett to survive mega flare. The only real damage I would do is with everyone’s limit. It was the best and most brutal boss I’ve faced lmao

Barely even needed them. You just need to stagger him before he uses his ultimate move and his counter will reset to 5

@@Draxsus I dont know if staggering him resets his count down, but i can say once hes staggered he should pretty much die instantly.

@@ericbonneville4819 Nope. You can do it in chapter 17 if you've completed all the Battle Intel missions/sidequests by then. Takes a while since the "Revive" materia has to be mastered as part of one of the missions, and it takes FOREVER to master it, even with "AP Up" materia linked. I had to grind in the Shinra battle sim in chapter 16 for several hours just to finish that off. I went from LV 38 to LV 48 just while grinding to master that materia there 😂

FUCK THIS FIGHT!!!!!!!! Took me five fucking hours. Stupid ass dragon.
This fight ruined almost all the joy I had with the game. Shiva, the Fat Chocobo and Leviathan are all manageable on Normal. Then you get to the Bahamut fight and it's like somebody set the game to Nightmare Mode.
Cry about it then. Or maybe just get better at the game.

@@KazuhasKatana In a way, that is rude, but not incorrect. Bahamut is manageable, even before beating the game first time with a purpose build to your party. The key things I found were first want magic defense gear. Then, have somebody with magnify on a maxed cure, with other two party members having a backup cure. Your ranged combatant needs to be able to cast manaward and have refocus materia. Then equip chakras and prayer Materia. The more you can non MP heal, the better.
With that setup, you can pretty much endurance out most attacks, changing party members to provoke attacks from focus off one person.
Your refocus materia person? Have em cast manawards as countdown hits one. Have your magnified curaga cast as soon as the megaflare starts. This drops damage from em down to the 4000s so most players who didnt rush it can take the hit.
Dont bring any offensive materia spells. Just use self buffs. Keep those ATS bars full so you can cast your prayers/chakras right after megaflare hits.
On my first successful victory, it was first time trying this strategy. Lvl 41s, hp was 2x at 5.8k with barrett at 7k hp.
It very much is a tactical battle to play smart to keep the endurance up, do not try to race through the fight. While hits hard, is predictable and controllable. So if you don't burn through your MP fast and keep the bars full so you can quickly respond, then it is just a matter of focus and patience. That setup run, don't even remember anybody getting KOed... well actually, cloud might have gotten knocked out once but got really close to a TPK a couple times which is when I started spamming the cures etc and why I recommend keeping the bars full.
So can we actually get bahamut in the first disc of final fantasy 7 remake or do we have to wait for disc 2 or 3?

i just hit em with fire level 3 and kept healing, what they don't tell you on hard mode you can use items in this fight only!!!!....so all the elixirs you same up will help with this fight...but i beat him on 3rd try with a full team, tried solo, duo then finally 3rd time with full team after i made it back to sector 5 after the collapse on hard mode...he will nuke you at least once but if you survive just quickly heal and use arise so members come back with full health and use elixirs after your MP drops
