Newly subscribed to your amazing channel. Thank you SO MUCH ! This is so helpful since we are visiting very soon. Your video was really helpful for us to plan.
Nice video and informative too! You guys are cool. I am looking for ideas for a weekend get-away from Los Angeles and you convinced me that this is the place! Thank you;)
thanks for the video. How was the safety situation there ? Was this a canyon glamp site or Redwood glamp site ? Also, are there any ticks or bugs around the place ?
Big Sur is a really quaint town so we felt completely safe! I believe we had a Redwood Glamp site. No ticks and I'm sure there were bugs but we didn't really see anything other than ants.
My husband and I love camping! But never tried glamping! Does all camping spot there have a little privacy? If I may ask, what's the site # you guys stayed?
There are several state parks and many privately owned campgrounds throughout Big Sur offering tent sites, RV sites, cabins, yurts, safari-tent-like options like the one in this video, motels, inns and even high end luxury hotel rooms at around $2000 per night. Quite a range of offerings. Google searches will lead you to many options. Bottom line: GO! :) And if you possibly can, plan to spend several days and give a some time to nearby areas like the Monterey Peninsula. Or come again and again so you can explore different areas each time. It never gets old.
Hi Rose! We were told by local businesses that it was 90% contained when we visited at the end of September which is why HWY 1 was reopened . For purposes of tourism and road trips, Big Sur was accessible.
It looks so amazing to spend time there. It would be better if you skip the background music and let us listen to the sound of the birds there in the background.
Thanks for watching our video! We'll be sharing more pandemic-friendly trips in California.
Would love to see more!
Really enjoy your videos. By any chance, have either one of you attended Fresno State University?
Did u had to pay tokens for the showers ?

Let's go for your birthday!! Sister trip?!
Those showers look awesome - definitely luxury camping if I've ever seen it.
Right!? It's not common to have nice hot showers when camping 😊
We love CA's parks, especially the ones in Big Sur!!
Yes, some of the best hikes and views are in Big Sur 😍
Thanks for the tour of the tent.

Good idea!! We love both spots, especially Sedona!
Newly subscribed to your amazing channel. Thank you SO MUCH ! This is so helpful since we are visiting very soon. Your video was really helpful for us to plan.
Glad it was helpful!
We just stayed at this t6, really felt lucky!!

It was 💫 Thanks for watching our video!
Isn't Big Sur magical? The fog is always cool.
Yes!! So glad we got to see Big Sur with both (fog and sun)
Good edit!
Thanks!
Where did you pull off to watch the sunset?
We pulled off at one of the glamping spots.
This was such a great video, I have always wanted to know what glamping was like at Ventana. Also, the drone shots are sweet!
Thanks for watching! Hopefully you get to visit soon!
Are you able to pick which spot you get or is it randomly assigned?
Ventana assigns the spot.
Where is that sunset spot? Is it before mcway falls?
If you are headed North, it is before McWay Falls. There were so many great spots. You really can't go wrong. 😃
thanks for the video.
Where are you going next?
We just got back from Catalina and are headed to Mexico next.
Great video. Curious What campsite # were you guys on btw?
Thank you! We had glamping site T6
No coffee from that trailer in the morning? I’d expect that from a glamping experience!!!
Yeah, that would have made our experience better for sure!
When did you guys visit? Was this before or after the fires?
We visited right after the Dolan Fires.
My husband and I love camping! But never tried glamping! Does all camping spot there have a little privacy? If I may ask, what's the site # you guys stayed?
Hi! Thanks for watching our video. Not all of the camping spots have privacy but most of the glamping spots do. We had site T6.
How much is it for a glamping spot there?
It varies but our rate was $240/night
Would be awesome to see more glamping videos. Is this the only spot in Big Sur?
To be honest, we are not sure. We've heard about Treebones resort as another spot but haven't researched it or stayed there.
There are several state parks and many privately owned campgrounds throughout Big Sur offering tent sites, RV sites, cabins, yurts, safari-tent-like options like the one in this video, motels, inns and even high end luxury hotel rooms at around $2000 per night. Is that hike only accessible from Ventana?
Yes, it's only available to Ventana guests.
Awesome content …Anyway you can kinda describe the spot you park for that epic sunset ? Or it just made it happen with the drone ?
It is one of the turnouts about 2 miles from McWay falls when you are heading South; however, most of the turnouts would have had a very similar view!
On the Dolan update page it says containment is expected 10/17. But you said it's contained?
Hi Rose! We were told by local businesses that it was 90% contained when we visited at the end of September which is why HWY 1 was reopened . For purposes of tourism and road trips, Big Sur was accessible.
@@LifeisGoodTravel I was able to book Ventana campgrounds but wanted to make sure! thank you
It looks so amazing to spend time there.
It would be better if you skip the background music and let us listen to the sound of the birds there in the background.
Noted! Thanks for watching
