Do serious economists actually argue that there is market failure when we don't have perfect competition? I have heard several Austrian economists "refute" such arguments. But outside of Austian economists, I have only seen perfect competition used (appropriately) as a theoretical tool to help understand various market forces such as supply and demand. Can anyone point me to some articles where serious economists are actually holding up perfect competition as a genuine standard?
This whole liberty thing and philosophy is really a personal thing. Its not about exposing to the masses and starting some kind of movement. Its about personal development and awareness. If you want to start a movement or make "change" join the democratic or republican movements. Coincidentally there is also alot of money in that
You know, you could just say "here, let me skip over the introduction at the beginning for you" whenever you show these videos to your friends. All you have to do is click the progress bar at the bottom of the video. Just saying.
Fascinating insights. Thanks!
Schiff isn't really an Austrian or a libertarian but I agree with him a lot.
You have a point. One needs to be mindful of not creating a cult around a movement.
DiLorenzo's book is awesome. I'm only half way through it, but I recommend it anyways :P
I don't understand why he dismissed game theory
It's a fair model, but it's very oversimplified. Lucas Engelhardt gave a talk on this issue, which is also on RUclips.
F.A. Hayek, the interviews on youtube are easy to understand, but his writings are another game. I wonder why.
Please explain..

It's called giving credit. Academia fuels on this, like it or not. I personally have no problem with it.
