we both liked Fujikawaguchiko Onsen Konanso more coz it's more spacious, food was fantastic, the private onsen you can book is significantly better (view of fuji, larger, cleaner), and overall a lot newer feeling. Maruei was under construction when we were there so our view was just scaffolding... Hope this helps!
