Crushone1 he made way too accurate it made me think this can't be on PS4 he made the layout on the outside outstanding and well placed like really well placed if you compared it looks accurate shame that it not that big but I don't care
Gotta think big, man. Sanctuary wasn't big enough for me, so I moved out to Starlight. Gonna show Covenant how it's done. Might even leave a bag of flaming dog poop on their doorstep. That, or an artillery strike; raze it so I can do it over right. Haven't decided yet.
had to Google it. apparently groom of the stool attended a king during excretion and other bathroom related activites and was one of the most respected men in the court and usually was the national budget manager. literally holy shit.
The first "mansion" is clearly a hommage to Bioshock. The city you can see when you look through the window is obviously inspired by Rapture, one of the main locations in the Bioshock universe. So it is actually not that confusing, but actually rather impressive to see what a talented modder can do with the given assets. The power armor parts are eastereggs, hinting at Big Daddys. This is backed up by the fact that you find a massive drill next to the weapons work bench (a weapon commonly used by Big Daddys). Also, at 5:12, there is a Big Daddy helmet on display.
The poster to the left when you first enter that has 'Daddy's Home' spray painted on it is a Bioshock reference. The author of this mod did a GREAT job mixing Bioshock with FO4. I've a ways wanted a player home under water. Thanks for doing this video.
Thank you for featuring the English Country House in your video. I should like to make a few additional points about the mod: 1. The architectural pieces are Bethesda's work (not mine); they are church-type pieces that can be found in various locations in the Commonwealth. The building itself IS original as there is nothing remotely like this within FO4. The material swaps and custom textures again are original and designed to enhance and adapt this mod. 2. The Yao Guai is in the vanilla game, as is the Deathclaw nest; these haven't been changed. The waterfall, FX and suchlike are additions. 3. There are FULL workbench facilities available within this mod but to hide the workbenches I moved them from the main house to another structure within the buildable area. Where the shack with the oxygen bottles is located on the hill, nearby were the ruined foundations of another structure. I've rebuilt this as a greenhouse and it has a workshop, weapons, armor and chems workbenches and power armour frame. It allows you to do pretty much everything you want to, but you have to walk to get there! 4. There will be some more furnishings added but I'm sure you'll appreciate the scope for grand or monumental furniture is very small without custom NIFs and in my other mods people want to scrap my furniture and place their own. So for this mod I thought I'd leave them plenty of space...
I really love the Moon Palace mod. It has a real world aspect that works so well with Fallout 4. And the fact that there’s a fast travel to Fort Independence... that makes for some great role play.
I really love it too, especially the beautiful aesthetic decorations and the ship the general of the minutemen has his fortified palace with guards which is awesome , put a vertibird landingpad on the side and it would be complete I can access to land, sea and air , I would let some of my companions to move in and upgrade the servants living area up more nicely and turn the extra spaces downstairs into nice living quarters, let my guards and servants and let them retire and live with me and have Mr handy's serve us and protect us with a few sentribots in reserve for defense ,I let my servants etc retire because I want to do good by them and I love it when people are comfortably happy and enjoy life lol 😎
"groom of the stool" was a position that was in the royal household. They helped the royal person in the bathroom, so yes they wipe your butt. The position was highly sought after because you got private access to the king. You got to know the king personally and could even have influence in politics. There are a lot of things that would be considered beyond the pale for those of us with modern day sensibilities.
@@omegagames9964 - Not just 'some British guy', the King. The position was filled by a Lord. He wouldn't have been paid at all but was probably financially compensated in other ways. I know Henry VIII had a groom but I don't know how long the practice continued. I imagine he had one because he was very fat and couldn't easily do the job himself.
That English country Manor would be mine I pick and turn it into a classy lounge casino hotel but split the tall rooms into 2 stories to build plenty of bedrooms to rent out, have a bar , restaurant and stage and few other things and have gaurds in crimson black and blue ballistic weave suits with plasma weapons for defense and basically be my own faction family lol
The dirt in the Moon palace cellar is coal, yes. In the late 19th century and early 20th century coal was used for stoves and because it was very dirty, the delivery guy dropped it through a cellar window into the cellar where people/servants shovelled it up and put it into any stove that they used.
The groom of the stool, was a highly sought after position in ancient England, where you got to clean the kings arse. Nobles etc all wanted some royal attention :P

FalloutShock Apt... Despite its lack of full service crafting, I really love the atmosphere of this mod! The BioShock meets Captain Nemo feel fit well in this aquatic setting. It would be nice to see the addition of another room/floor to add in the other crafting/cooking facilities that are not currently included. The caved in gate near the entry way might make the perfect entrance to such an addition. As is, however, this mod would be a perfect get away home to escape the torrid wasteland and maybe even romance your favorite love interest :) Very well done!
The Bioshock Apartment is a recreation of start base for Bioshock 2 multiplayer. You start off in your apartment that has a nice view of the underwater city of Rapture. When you head to the submarine it would take you to the start menu for Multiplayer.
Man, how is a lore nut like you JUST getting around to playing BioShock??? I'm pretty sure you're gonna really enjoy the BioShock experience. I can't wait until you get to the mindjob that is Infinite.
In medieval times, the groom of the stool was a job where someone wiped the kings butt because the king is too important to do that. Despite how gross it may seem, every other servant was jealous of the groom of the stool because they spent a lot of time with the king and they were usually trusted people and in some cases, close friends with the king despite being a servant and they were the highest paid servant in the entire castle.
The first “mansion” looks exactly like the apartment you have when you play multiplayer on Bioshock 2 except you can only play multiplayer on the old Xbox 360 not on the remastered version 😢
I'm definitely going to have to install these, but particularly the English Country House and Moon Palace. They fit PERFECTLY for my wasteland emperor, I will probably use the country house as my primary estate, the Moon Palace as a vacation estate in Far Harbor, and then I'll use the Modernoir as a northern home/outpost for my character. Marlborough Mansion would be a city outpost like the Home Plate, The Colonial would be kind of a secret retreat as would the FalloutShock Apartment. I was planning on building my character a palace at Abernathy Farm and a castle at Spectacle Island (a vacation island for myself, my officials and exemplary citizens), but that's taking a lot longer than I had hoped it would so these mods are lifesavers lol.
The toilet in the 'guest bathroom' as you refer to it (at 14:36) is a reproduction of a Ajax toilet designed by Sir John Harrington. It was one of the first toilet models with working plumbing and fits with the British theme of the Moon Palace.
English Country Home... I would easily consider adding this mod once having visited the propane station as return trips to that location are relatively pointless. As a completionist, I prefer to visit all the sites as they are before allowing mods to change them. That said, this is perhaps the player home with the most potential as it is almost completely DIY for it's final functionality, contents and interior appearance. The grounds and home layout are spectacular. I love the pool and garden area in the rear of the home.
I find myself agreeing with Preston regarding Cliff Mansion. It is very nice! The gazebo is a perfect place for Piper to relax and enjoy the view while writing her next article. I could easily see myself joining her there for a drink after a long hard week in the wastes. My favorite feature is the sniper's perch which is perfectly appointed and well positioned. Also, the miniatures dotted throughout the home as decoration are a perfect touch of lore friendly class :) The separate files that require manual installation are a concern but would not hinder me from trying this mod.
I Love the moon palace even if the lore has 1 glaring error in it. The British Embassy would be in DC, all Embassy's are located in Capital cities. This would at best be a Consulate, or more likely a recreation retreat for the staff of the Embassy in DC. That's the kind of thing they would put in Far Harbor. Everything else would still hold true.
+Oxhorn here's a little tip to interact with stuff that isn't normally interact-able (Warning: this may break the game if used improperly, just a warning) you go to the console and you click on the object that u want to open/close/start/activate and then u just type 'activate' then space, then the ID of the object.. technical explaination: it makes the game's console or superadmin command running script interact with the object instead of your player running the activation script (depending on what interactable object it is). Hope this helped, did not at all mean to make your brain hurt. thanks.
I'm thinking The Modernoir Villa most likely has a painting of a lighthouse because that's where Gloucester would be. Bethesda condensed and represented an entire coastal city into a single fish packing factory which honestly is pretty appropriate.
lol the underwater home with the good neighbor view is actually awesome! i know the game Narcosis took the effect that can happen from being under water and the pressure etc could cause hallucinations, Nitrogen Narcosis i believe is what its called xD
You do realize that Bioshock actually took place in an underwater city called Rapture so basically the author recreated Rapture in the background outside the window
In the first house, the buildings outside are a reference to the sunken city the Bioshock games take place in. It isn’t some hallucination or secret, just another reference to the game.
I don't know about anybody else but when I think of a mansion I think massive field and the house itself would look like Buckingham palace with a English butler called dollars worth
Love the Moon Palace!!! But, Alfred? He can haul the bucket but I'll handle the paperwork myself... Thank you! Bath girl on the other hand is more than welcome to restore my health, rads and AP :) I know I said a lot more about the other homes but Moon Palace is perfect as is. Wouldn't change a thing!
Hurts my soul you didnt really get the bioshock references but still love the videos! top 4 Games i love to death is Fallout, Skyrim, Bioshock and FarCry. love your fallout videos ✌🏼 keep up the great work
Hello Oxhorn, stumbled across your videos in a beer fueled youtube binge. subscribed several weeks ago. Good stuff man. Really well done and the perfect kind of video to play in the back round as i play my own games Fallout and otherwise. Keep up the good work. Side note I enjoy cigars as well just wondering if you have a recommendation. Thanks Buddy.
That Bioshock one is amazing! The city in the sea and everything is from Rapture, so not confusing at all if you've played Bioshock 1 and 2. It looks amazing. The modder got it spot on! I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat the entire time!!
Apparently theres a new Fallout 4 patch coming out next week including a high resolution pack au.ign.com/articles/2017/01/30/fallout-4-getting-high-res-upgrade-for-pc-and-ps4-pro
The pach has system requirements of a GTX1080 so it may "Vault 1080" mod the whole of Fallout 4 its also going to weigh in at 58 extra gb of drive space so Id say given those 2 things it will be an optional download
Legate Australis Things I want fixed 1. Cait, I can't gat her companion perk 2. Vault-tec rep, can't talk to him 3. Fix vault 81 quest, can't get them 4. Fix level 4 traders (Something I want) 5. Add console commands to console (My highest level legit charactor)
I'm surprised. No one seems to mention the Moon Palace being a likely reference to Bloodborne. I mean, its a Victorian-style home and has the name "Moon Palace" which is probably a reference to the Moon Presence at the end of the game. Also, the stuffed wolf looks similar to the beasts of the game. Plus, the Fog of Far Harbor is a great atmospheric touch, which adds to the Bloodborne-y aspects of the whole house.
Oxhorn or anyone reading this is there a video concerning the strange statues and huge out of place metal faces we see all around? I.E. above the entrance to mass pike, financial district buildings etc. I feel like it was discussed but can't find it. One of the few remaining mysteries of the fallout universe.
What if a long long time ago, that fish packing plant wasn't there? Maybe there was a lighthouse off in the distance, but it was torn down, so the painter decided to paint a lighthouse there, because he was longing for the good ol' days.
You know whats weird? That part of the video bothered me as well. I had a mind to download that mod, and then take a screen shot from that exact point of view IG, then use PS (or GIMP) to add a 'watercolors' filter to the screen shot, and then use the creation club kit to add it on top of that painting. Then I would just uninstall the mod afterwards... having OCD sucks.
The bioshock build a personal favourite as I'm a huge fan of the game and if u haven't played it oxhorn your in for a treat as its great. All mansions were spectacular and far surpass my crummy shacks well done and respect to all.
Todd is actually in Fallout 4, in this painting: funnypictures2.fjcdn.com/comments/Having+an+napoleon+complex+helps+too+_c31d89dca96a16b2ec1842b6e192e63d.jpg The painting is actually a remake of Napoleon Crossing the Alps.upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/6b/Napoleonpic.jpg/800px-Napoleonpic.jpg
For the first mod that Oxhorn tried out, the Submersible was a Bathysphere that would take you to the Underwater city, of Rapture, and is a favorite for Bioshock to use as a way into the city, as they’re used in every title where you enter Rapture, or exit.
I like the mod: "A Goodneighbor Player Home" by Greasemonkey. It's basically a full settlement mod there just isn't a fast travel map marker for your pip boy.
The Bioshock mansion is actually modeled after the multiplayer hub for Bioshock 2. It's very realistic to Bioshock, and the lore with the mansion and underwater city could tie in if you wanted it to.
Kimi J yeah he does move the camera a little too much sometimes! I’m guessing it’s because either he’s excited about it or wants to get enough in to show off without making the video too long. It could also be both!
In the year and 3 months since this video was made, I wonder if anyone has done, or has considered doing, a copy of The Sink from FNV's Old World Blues DLC? Of all the player homes across the entire Fallout series, I think that and the Megaton shack (from F3) were my two favourites. Excellent video, btw. Your reaction to "kinky stuff" kills me!
Getting into my characters head for a moment, she would feel *horribly* guilty living in most of these places. All those resources and support for a couple people, in the postwar world?
Feeling bad about having 'more' than others doesn't do anything to help them, AT ALL. RW or virtual. Thus, you may as well just enjoy it all, before some raiders move in.
Chez Lounge is pronounced SHAY lounge, and those are grenaDEER gaurds. At 25:12, that was coal. I worked in an old building that had coal storage in the basement. Those would have been filled from outside, and when needed you'd fill up the buckets and take it to a coal furnace to heat the place. The building likely would have had hot water radiators heating each room (originally)
What's that feeling of deja vu, when you've never seen the place in your whole entire life, but yet looks familiar? I've dreamed of the Diamond City apartment and Cliff mansion being in disarray, with exposed studs through the walls in the apartment and the Cliff mansion's balcony falling apart. I've never once played Fallout 4. EVER.
The rag doll with the drillbit hand is absolutely a Bioshock reference, as is the huge drill to the right of the weapon bench (that drill arm thingie is a Big Daddy's primary weapon) and yes, the sub elevator entrance. I need to track that mod down, I'd love to see what else is hidden in there.

My story for that Skeleton in the royal bunker. There was an escape tunnel, and the house's original staff meant to use it to escape once the great war started, however a nearby bomb impact destabilized the tunnel, which hadn't been inspected in decades, and the workers had to double back, the skeleton there now is just one of those who didn't make it.

Hope this helped, did not at all mean to make your brain hurt. thanks.
"Submersible submarine" well...
I'm thinking The Modernoir Villa most likely has a painting of a lighthouse because that's where Gloucester would be. Bethesda condensed and represented an entire coastal city into a single fish packing factory which honestly is pretty appropriate.
3 things:
1 - Its a Bathysphere
2 - No gods or kings, only man
3 - A man chooses, a slave obeys

lol the underwater home with the good neighbor view is actually awesome! i know the game Narcosis took the effect that can happen from being under water and the pressure etc could cause hallucinations, Nitrogen Narcosis i believe is what its called xD
If you really want to know how it's pronounced, grenadier as pronounced gren-uh-deer
You do realize that Bioshock actually took place in an underwater city called Rapture so basically the author recreated Rapture in the background outside the window
" I like preston" never heard that before except in my head
I love Bioshock, (the 2nd one is my favorite), the art deco architecture is unforgettable and is cozy at times
I love how you just gave up on pronouncing "grenadier".
Oxhorn: gets what the small plushy is referencing
Also Oxhorn: thinks the city out the window is supposed to be a hallucination
as soon as I seen the bathysphere from the first mansion I knew it was BioShock inspired.
yep obvious but cool
MasterTryh4rd same
In the first house, the buildings outside are a reference to the sunken city the Bioshock games take place in. It isn’t some hallucination or secret, just another reference to the game.
Hell yeah a 50 min video, love ya Oxhorn :)
that submarine (bathysphere really) is 100% an eyebot model that's been upscaled, which is pretty creative
I don't know about anybody else but when I think of a mansion I think massive field and the house itself would look like Buckingham palace with a English butler called dollars worth
Love the Moon Palace!!! But, Alfred? He can haul the bucket but I'll handle the paperwork myself... Thank you!
Bath girl on the other hand is more than welcome to restore my health, rads and AP :)
I know I said a lot more about the other homes but Moon Palace is perfect as is. Wouldn't change a thing!
Hey oxhorn do you ever see yourself doing fallout 3 and NV lore videos in the future when you've finished with F4?
I want that too (For NV)
I have NV but couldn't get FO3 to run or even install on my machine
How many hours have you played of NV? People usually really first impressions, including me.
I would really like this, but maybe instead of after do a weekly thing??
OneGenericName what windows are you using
Hurts my soul you didnt really get the bioshock references but still love the videos! top 4 Games i love to death is Fallout, Skyrim, Bioshock and FarCry. love your fallout videos ✌🏼 keep up the great work
Hello Oxhorn, stumbled across your videos in a beer fueled youtube binge. subscribed several weeks ago. Good stuff man. Really well done and the perfect kind of video to play in the back round as i play my own games Fallout and otherwise. Keep up the good work. Side note I enjoy cigars as well just wondering if you have a recommendation. Thanks Buddy.

“Genuine liquid shampoo, pineapple FLAVOR” that crap had me crying 😂
The dont steal me sweet roll is a skyrim reference. The guards will tease you and say something like go steal someones sweet roll
However it is originaly from the tutorial of fallout 3 when your childhood bully steals your birthday sweet roll
That Bioshock one is amazing! The city in the sea and everything is from Rapture, so not confusing at all if you've played Bioshock 1 and 2. It looks amazing. The modder got it spot on! I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat the entire time!!
Apparently theres a new Fallout 4 patch coming out next week including a high resolution pack
au.ign.com/articles/2017/01/30/fallout-4-getting-high-res-upgrade-for-pc-and-ps4-pro
Woah, thanks for this
Legate Australis
I suppose it will automatically be included in Steam so that every FO4 player gets it immediately?
Celisar1 no you may have to set it enabled in settings
The pach has system requirements of a GTX1080 so it may "Vault 1080" mod the whole of Fallout 4 its also going to weigh in at 58 extra gb of drive space so Id say given those 2 things it will be an optional download
Legate Australis Things I want fixed
1. Cait, I can't gat her companion perk
2. Vault-tec rep, can't talk to him
3. Fix vault 81 quest, can't get them
4. Fix level 4 traders
(Something I want)
11:43 Spongebob reference? Sponge in the tub + "Pineapple" flavored shampoo?
Maybe, or it could just be a coincidence.
These are all so cozy it just gives me a nice, warm, comfortable feeling
I never thought I would enjoy Downton Abbey...but I did..
I love the Skyrim references Elianora uses XD Don't steal the sweetroll!
Why don't you give it a shot yourself Oxhorn? Do your own player home mod and make it exactly as you would make your dream home.
That's a cool idea
The bioshock build a personal favourite as I'm a huge fan of the game and if u haven't played it oxhorn your in for a treat as its great. All mansions were spectacular and far surpass my crummy shacks well done and respect to all.
Anyone ever notice mr house looks like Howard stark lmao
manofj10 Howard Stark and Mr House are both Inspired by Howard Hughes
Jonathan Daleo same thing with andrew ryan
Im mr house
I legit thought for a split second Mr. House looked like Todd Howard XDDD
Todd is actually in Fallout 4, in this painting: funnypictures2.fjcdn.com/comments/Having+an+napoleon+complex+helps+too+_c31d89dca96a16b2ec1842b6e192e63d.jpg
The painting is actually a remake of Napoleon Crossing the Alps.upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/6b/Napoleonpic.jpg/800px-Napoleonpic.jpg
It's been *ages* since I've watched you oxhorn! I'm happy you showed up in my recommendations!
Submarine? Has he not played bioshock? That's a bathysphere.
For the first mod that Oxhorn tried out, the Submersible was a Bathysphere that would take you to the Underwater city, of Rapture, and is a favorite for Bioshock to use as a way into the city, as they’re used in every title where you enter Rapture, or exit.
I need that bath girl menu for my wife. Can anyone make a real life mod for that? :D
Just tell you wife let's do it in the bathtub and see what see says lol
I like the mod: "A Goodneighbor Player Home" by Greasemonkey. It's basically a full settlement mod there just isn't a fast travel map marker for your pip boy.
plush big daddy (fallout shock appartments time: 5 minutes 50
Just say 5:50, it time stamps it.
The Bioshock mansion is actually modeled after the multiplayer hub for Bioshock 2. It's very realistic to Bioshock, and the lore with the mansion and underwater city could tie in if you wanted it to.
LOL. I love watching your mod reviews but my motion sickness is acting up wickedly. LOL
Evan Ulven
Mine wouldn't. He IS the new president of the Enclave, after all.
Feeling bad about having 'more' than others doesn't do anything to help them, AT ALL. RW or virtual. Thus, you may as well just enjoy it all, before some raiders move in.
@@marktaylor6553 - similar to my thoughts. Just because everybody else lives like mongrels, should that mean you do to? May as well enjoy the wealth.
Ox: "I like Preston Garvey."
Preston: "Another settlement needs your help."
Ox: *Jay Leno style "YIY"*
I installed a mod that gives me 2 apartments and I sent all my companions there so I don’t have to search for them everywhere in sanctuary
Admiral Kawatch... is that a reference to The Elder Scrolls' Hero of Kvatch?
What's that feeling of deja vu, when you've never seen the place in your whole entire life, but yet looks familiar? I've dreamed of the Diamond City apartment and Cliff mansion being in disarray, with exposed studs through the walls in the apartment and the Cliff mansion's balcony falling apart. I've never once played Fallout 4. EVER.
I'm pretty sure the mod creator for #1 was trying to recreate rapture in that window
Noone Special u mean the first in the video?
The rag doll with the drillbit hand is absolutely a Bioshock reference, as is the huge drill to the right of the weapon bench (that drill arm thingie is a Big Daddy's primary weapon) and yes, the sub elevator entrance. I need to track that mod down, I'd love to see what else is hidden in there.
Ox dude you have to at least play through Bioshock once
I love the way the artist has seamlessly blended the Bioshock and Fallout worlds.
just wandering have you ever played bioshock?
Considering he didn't know what a Big Daddy is? Going to say no.
TheOnlyAlchimous good point but still great video
Where are you wandering
This just made me laugh so hard lmao
Just to add on to what TheOnlyAlchimous said he also didn't get that the city outside was rapture.
these are all insanely awesome, but it's a lot more satisfying to build your own
Wow nice revie.... HOLY SHIT over a decade on the Internet and somebody finally got my nickname's pronunciation right :O *Bows*
But just you wait till I finish my latest mod: ruclips.net/video/zBpYFc-W2fs/видео.html ... And yeah, that one will to feature kinky stuff XD
Nice! And is that a techno remix of "What do you do with a drunken sailor?" And good lord, the kinky stuff...
Yup the author has uploaded the music as free.
BTW would you be surprised that a bumwiper was an actual job? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groom_of_the_Stool
