    I can attest to celery and blood pressure. I've been juicing since 2011 with celery and kale and it brought me from high blood pressure to around 114/76.

    Interesting. In the first study, I couldn't find any mention of confounding factors which are important to consider in any study. Your title of the talk implies that fresh juice was used (juicing), but the article didn't say that. Was the consumption of juice or increased vegetable consumption that helped the depression? The study lacked a lot.

    So the grape juice and the cancer juice li k. Are these store bought or are the extracted with a raw juicing machine like you have there?

    • @Diamondranchfarmstead
      @Diamondranchfarmstead Год назад

      I was in the store one time and I ran into a lady who was loading her cart with grape juice. She needed help grabbing the bottles on the higher shelves so kindly offered to help her. Then I asked her why she was buying so much grape juice. She told me it was her miracle drink. To keep her cancer away. So I assumed she drinks a lot of grape juice. :)

      Are you watching on a phone or something other than RUclips? I just watched it through on RUclips and it does show the links for a good while. If you watch on other apps or on your phone it will likely not show you the links.

    What about fruit smoothie? Is this the same as juicing?

    • @deehines5750
      @deehines5750 Год назад

      No. You will still get benefits but you get 40-60% more from juicing.

      @HealthAndHomestead  Год назад

      In that study it was the Beck Depression Inventory. There is another option people can do called the DASS (Depression and Anxiety Stress Scale).

    I've been hearing a lot more about how fiber is not necessary, and is actually causing harm to our bowel movements. They're saying fiber gets bound up and causes blockages. They always use the Inuit people as an example of not needing fiber. I hear most of this listening to carnivore doctors on YT such a Dr. Ken Berry and Dr. Chaffee

    • @HealthAndHomestead
      @HealthAndHomestead  Год назад +2

      The Inuit are a short lived culture. Mummies of inuits buried in the snow from 4 or 500 years ago showed that even younger Inuit had atherosclerosis. I know the carnivore people use them as an example of health. But they have never been a great example of health. Often on a carnivore or keto diet people are constipated because of lack of fiber. There are a small amount of people with digestive issues that struggle with fiber. But generally the can slowly reintroduce the fiber and regain their health.

      I shred it with other veg & pickle it; tastes good (to me) and pickled root veg shred keeps in the fridge for many weeks. `put it on a stack of fresh chopped salad greens; good to go.

    Is steam juicing as advantageous as cold juicing? Thanks, 😊Regina

    • @PlantNews
      @PlantNews 10 месяцев назад

      In theory no, because steam will kill enzymes in the fruit that are beneficial to human health. Cold pressed would be best.

    The reason grape juice increased athletic ability was almost certainly because it is high in sugar. Sugar gives people energy. There is no "magical" aspect of grape juice that gave these runners energy. Chances are that giving them sugar water would have done the same thing. And Gatorade would probably have done even better.

    Just saying: your material is interesting... but I do NOT appreciate teaser methodology, especially when it is just an attempt to prolong the viewer's presence to maximise your exposure/ algorithm/ ad revenue.
    Just say what you have to say in a logical order and let the viewer decide if in GENERAL your presentations are worth staying to the end for. Anything else is shameless self-indulgence.
