I feel like these guys need to read the room. There was clearly more issues than previous years. My best mate got on the official bus provided by the festival and still got there very late and missed acts. There isn't much "better planning" he could do. I can understand it being frustrating if you had a good time and other people are coming to you to complain about issues. However this screams parameter bias. "well i had no issues and couldn't see any, so you need to be better"
People literally got turned away from the festival and bands almost missed their sets. Shouldn't take 4 and a half hours for 2 miles anywhere in the world
I want to preface this by saying I had a class time at Slam Dunk and don't want a refund or anything like that, but, there are two things that would definitely improve it.
Fix the car parking fiasco. The problem (for south) wasn't that people couldn't use their initiative. It was those that didn't pre-pay got let in, causing issues for those that did (especially when it came to leave). Their solution for next year seems fine though, so long as they check people before they get onto the farm track.
Also, if possible, have entry/exit on both sides of the Kerrang tent. I don't think you can deny that would be better.

Honest though if they took the van down on the Saturday we be in line for a same style video as last year, they would have been pissed off spending 6 hours in the car. If the queue is on an A road your stuck there you can’t just turn around
Yeah it was pure luck they never drove. Theyd be getting into the festival about 4 or 5 pm.
1:22:57 Glad you liked the band guys :) I can confirm we had some backing vocals m, synths and keyboards on track and minimal 2nd guitars (the intro in sum 41 for instance) but the solo was very much played live. We saw the traffic at the north sight and told the uber we will get out here and took the hit on money 20min walk didn't miss a band it was great
Did you get given your tickets by the festival? And were you able to spend time in the guest area? It's very easy to blame punters when you're friends with the festival. This response is a real shame.

I had absolutely no problems at slam dunk, got the train to Leeds and an Uber to up near Temple Newsam then walked in. Food queue, we just joined the shortest one and had what ever they sold. I’m not friends with the festival or had VIP.

56:46 Honestly I had to choose between eating or actually seeing the bands I paid £100 for. In the end I waited until I got back to the city centre and got a fat JustEat.
This was my first Slam Dunk South.
It was busy, but it was a fucking excellent time. I agree with all of your points - had a cracking Saturday.
Sound issues plauged Underoath's set @ Amazon Music Stage in South. Fairly sure he [Spencer] gave the sound stage /engineers the finger at one point after we asked him to ask them to turn vocals up.

Shikari and Hadouken is a tour I’d 1000% be there for. 2027/2028 doing a 20th anniversary tour for Accelerated and Skies would be sick.
A trip to Thailand would be great to watch

I had an Uber to and from south to a hotel in Welwyn Garden City. No issues getting in at all.

I was at Slam Dunk North and had a great time 0 issues and I plan on going again next year
I always get coach from Middlesbrough to Leeds bus station and then a taxi from there to Temple Newsam and then use the big green coach back to Middlesbrough.. I never have any problems 🤷♂️

It’s festival that doesn’t allow you to bring any food in so buying it inside should be easily accessible.
