This is very useful for my students to get an American student's perspective on French schools. Merci beaucoup!

Well done. I'm American but lived in France for 10 years (and taught in public universities there). I currently teach in a public high school in NYC. I wanted to add something on the quality of education, which is difficult to gauge/determine, no doubt. But in general, the quality of education in France is higher than in the USA; it's more uniform and has a higher overall standard. That said, about 20%-30% of American high school students receive an excellent (public) education which is more rigorous (of better quality resulting in better learning outcomes) than that same group in France. US high schools, too, have, proportionally more immigrants than French schools, in some areas, far more.

Certaines grandes écoles organisent des bals, exemple : les Arts et Métiers. C'est une école d'ingénieur réputée. Les élèves sont nommés : Gadzarts. Mais il y en a d'autres.

I’m gonna be honest, american middle school and high school lunches weren’t bad, accept the pizza, that was just a crime. I think it’s due to me knowing how it’s made when I volunteered and grew up on those foods though.
