there arent many people they know which they can use. maybe a few really really side characters like the chinese cooking chick that cant even beat megumi but whats the point. and yeah thats the only person i can even think off. remember they have to be current students. not expelled ones and need to be directly against azami which at this point is only soumas friends

Asami's philosophy and conviction are completely flawed and he compromises himself completely. He believes his cooking way is the "right" way and that everyone should cook like he does. However, because he needs the support of the Elite Ten, he allows them to continue cooking the way they want too. It's basically "I'm the best cook and everyone should cook my way, except the people I need to keep me in power, you keep cooking your own way". He's a hypocrite. If he truly believed everyone should follow his way, he should force the Elite Ten to cook his way too, but he can't. They would revolt. Basically he's refusing to allow everyone else to "cook their own way" except those he needs to hold onto power. This is why he's a pathetic villain, because he doesn't even follow his own philosophy at all. I can at least respect a villain that sticks to their own beliefs, but Asami is a hypocrite who I can't respect even in the slightest.
Benster Im pretty sure the remaining Elite Ten that voted for him want him to teach them to be better cooks. Didnt he kick out some of the Elite Ten who refused to cook that way? Everyone except Rindo truly want to learn from him

Deen Deen The problem is that Azami isn't the best cook in the world or anything like that. He is very, very good, but Saiba is better and I would say Dojima and Shinomiya are just as good. Azami wants to get rid of everyone else's cooking, but there are plenty of chefs out there who are just as good or better than him. And they got that way by trial and error, not by blindly following recipes.
Also, small spoiler, you never see Azami EVER teach any of the Elite Ten anything. Every time we've seen them cook its always been their own recipes they have developed. Take Eizan. He didn't use a dish from Azami to fight against Soma. Nor did Momo or any other Elite Ten member use his recipes during their shokugekis. Eishi keeps cooking using his own method of trusting the ingredients. Therefore, the Elite Ten are the only ones still cooking their own way, because Azami knows if he forces his way on them, they won't take it. So he's a hypocrite.
Benster But when Eizen fought Soma didn't he use A grade kind of cooking? Even the bought out judges were saying that Soma was using B grade cooking. I don't think Azami is saying he's the best cook in the world, i think he's saying food that isn't A grade is trash. I dont think Azami would close down Shinomya [mind my spelling] because its probably an A grade restaurant that earns awards. Azami is probably fine closing down Yukihira tho because it's a "B grade" dinner. The Elite Ten that voted for/joined Azami are probably cooking within Azami's standard, also Azami uses the system of telling people what to make instead of trail and error is because of [Minor Spoiler] Saiba's expulsion because he couldn't keep up. He basically wants a world where people don't have to fight or work hard to get too the top, he removed all competition where everyone can learn with no worry, which sounds great until you realize that you don't truly learn like that
Benster He's not really a hypocrite because the Elite Ten cook in an A grade manner. The rest of the removed Elite Ten might have cooked in an unorthodox cooking style which is consider "B grade" or don't agree with Azami's plans or would get in the way of them

right every time they watch part of the opening im like pay attention see the detail the opening literally tells u how this season goes for the major points. setting off on trains souma vs hayama in bear meat, the people behind bars fail at some point and the ones not behind bars succeed to face off against elite ten with some mystery members which with some thought is easy enough to figure out who the rebel team is.
