When I got there and saw it for the cesspool that it is, it was a place I DEFINITELY wanted ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with when I thought I would move there. My opinion as to why Brits are welcomed in America, not just tinsiltown, is because if your English and were born before 1980, you were educated to respect people, yourself, the law and appreciate lifes pleasures. Thats the difference between the modern English and the current exiled Americans.

never what so ever attracted me to this place, or on the other hand new york..or any major cities
L.A. is a beautiful place, especially in the northern part of the city. Almost everywhere you look there are hills, mountains, palm trees, cactus in people's gardens ( ! ) and when the morning fog clears to reveal that beautiful deep blue sky, it's a gorgeous sight. Add to that you're walking / driving around in the world's biggest movie set it makes it kind of exciting.
A lot depends on where you're coming from though. I'm from a very grey, rainy city in England and grew up in the 70s watching Starsky and Hutch, Rockford Files, CHiPs and hundreds of movies shot in and around there and I always loved the blue sky and mountains. I got the chance to visit there for a few days last year on a dream 5 week holiday to California and loved every minute : - ) If you can get past all the "glitz and glamour" bullshit I think it's well worth a visit ; - )

Ive been a fan of British comedy when the movie "A Fish Called Wanda" came out. Then I got to learn about Fawlty Towers and the like. Hollywood isnt a good basis for any conclusions you come to about Americans though.
He made a point of saying that in the beginning of the show. That he was talking about Hollywood specifically not the rest of the USA. I saw him do a show about America in general and he couldn’t say enough good things about our country and all of the really great people who live here. I would agree with him on that point.

Very interesting to observe the scene in particular the things that go usually unnoticed. None of the people that are currently famous interest me at all. I like Pierce he's cool. But in general the stuff that is hyped up is meaningless to say the least. It is anti informative and adverse. What I noticed is that occasionally someone interesting pops up unexpectedly and that is because that person is Truly passionate about this entire atmosphere in all of it's ugliness and fakeness. One of those was Anna Nicole Smith who bathed in the soup of Hollywood dementia as if it's a precious painting by Picasso. That is when things begin to roll. You have to love all aspects of it and Never be in resistance. And the reason why she was gawked at and secretly used as fapping material is Because she did not fit the perfected Hollywood standards. Men like women curved it's a fact that nobody wants to talk about particularly not in Hollywood. Men like women who are playful and childlike and innocent in their passion as Anna was. Women watched her because she inspired them even though they never admitted to it. To want to Fit into Hollywood is like wanting to fit into a geriatric society or a society on crutches. Esther Hicks addressed this so well by saying why do you want to walk on crutches if you don't have to just to fit into a society on crutches? Hollywood is run by the Ego which is mental illness why fit into such a boring, unsexy, unjuicy, unhealthy, crude, blant society? Why not be who You actually are? Would be so much more fun wouldn't it?

I am a digital strategist and got flew in to Hollywood once for a celebrity event, yes it was fun and I got to meet a lot of nice people at this event at this celebrity home but, I was mostly affraid of the heights of those homes (Hollywood hills). I would not live there even if to work with a major celebrity. I spent 3 days and left very stressed out.
So being a digital strategist (whatever that is) obviously means you don’t need to have proper English skills lol. Your grammar and word choices need work lol

I think it is more Australians that are taking over L.A. Nearly every movie has an Australian acting in it or a part of the behind the scenes. I have been told that in the industry Australians are liked because of the lack of ego and good work ethic but who knows why.
