My German Shepherd turned on the gas stove and then I took them for a 45 minute walk. Came home to a house full of gas. I'm ordering these clips right now!
Glad to hear you are all OK. And also glad that gas has that rotten egg smell so that we can alert on it. Of course rotten eggs might smell good to dogs. ;-)
Thx for this. I cooked some meat on the stove for the 1st time today. Yes, my dog just turned on the stove bc the pan was still there. Luckily the flame went on and not the gas. Caught it bf trouble. Gonna check out the clips
My grandmas later in her years. She likes to heat up her down leftovers and whatnot. The microwave is right above the stove. I came home from work to the smell of a gas filled house twice now! So I went searching to take care of this problem when I'm not around. Thank God I was their or who knows what would've happened to my mom and grandma. Just ordered the silicon gray version.
I hadn't thought about people just accidentally bumping the knobs. That's a great use! They also make natural gas detectors like this one: amzn.to/3XvLGBN
i had a breadmaker on my stove (was an electric one) and my cat flipped the switch to FULL and nearly burned my house down. Never been so scared in my life, thankfully i was in the house at the time!!! I'm changing to gas and this will be a literal lifesaver!!
Interesting - I would think they would just jump up on the top. The problem with dogs is that they can't get to the top so they keep pawing at the edge (where the knobs are.)
@@BrightonsReviewsandMore ya they jump up there and im always afraid they will turn it and catch themselves on fire and or turn the top or oven on and start a gas leak/fire

Cute puppy!
Thanks! She's cute when she's not trying to blow up the house :-)

I wish they did these for my whirlpool! Our dog put gas on yesterday! Easier to crate the dog for us from now on !
Glad they didn't burn the house down!
Thanks for the tip - we had a scare with the kitchen full of gas yesterday and our collie looking very sheepish about the whole affair.
Wow - glad you didn't have any flames. They never come right out and admit their guilt :-)
Hi, thanks for the tip. I don't see the Amazon link for the clips.
Found it! Thanks again
I have this issue with my cats

@@OneChanceInAMillion I hope they stay away from the knobs and keep themselves fire-free! Enjoy the weekend!
Why not just take the knobs off?
That would work too. But I'd probably forget where I put the knobs ;-)
Reason #217 for not having a big dumb dog inside of your house 🙄
