Thank you Patricia!!! Great sharing your wax experience with us !! Well … I have a very sad experience with a fragrance. I loved Oodles of Orange when it was in BBMB … so I added it to my club. I was melting it in my old house’s basement (rental) because it scented the huge area very well. One day one of my cats, my beloved deaf kitty, was not feeling well and I decided to isolated in the cozy carpeted area of the basement that was also my photography studio so I could take her the next day to her vet appointment. She had a full bathroom for herself with a litter box and in the huge studio water and different canned food to make sure she ate.
The next morning I came to get her, but sadly she had unexpectedly passed away. The shock was brutal as I never had a cat passing on me suddenly in my house. And the whole place smelled like oodles of oranges. Needless to say that scent is not longer in my club. This occurred back in 2020. So yes … I have a fragrance I used to love that now I hesitate to warm. 😢
Omg this was heartbreaking to read! I’m sorry for bringing you back to that place. My cat passed away overnight in our home too. I wasn’t into Scentsy or home fragrance at the time but thinking back it was a very traumatic experience so my heart goes out to you.
I definitely thought I would love Black Forest Pine when I got it for my sotm kit. I may have even warmed it once and liked it. But after that…I hit the stage in pregnancy where scents made me gag, even if I liked them. And that one was so strong, it left a strong impression. So even now, I objectively like it, but warming it makes me feel a little gaggy.
Another scent was Coffee Tree: when it first came out, I really loved it. I said goodbye to Perk Me Up and Coffee Tree was my new favorite. In 2017, we moved houses, and later it came back for bbmb so I stocked up (3 bars, which was a huge stock up back then ha). It smelled so skunky/cigarette smoke that I could barely even finish one of my bars. 😭 I tried mixing it with all sorts of things to make it palatable, but nothing worked. I don’t know if it was the house that made it smell so different, or if something in the formula changed.
It’s so weird once you smell something in a bar it’s hard to “unsmell” it
I totally get what you mean about scents making you feel an off vibe. Pink Rhubarb Sugar was a scent I used all winter to clear food smells in 2022. At the time, it was so fantastic, and magically rid the air of heavy winter food odors. When I tried warming it for fun the following summer, I got a really uncomfortable claustrophobic feeling, and my scent senses felt weirdly overwhelmed. It was so discombobulating 😂 I don’t know what happened, but I can’t warm that scent now which is too bad because I grabbed 10 that winter and still have 4 left 😂
Now that that scent is retired someone might need those. Maybe trade them ?
Ah fresh cut daisies …… I’m pleased you enjoyed it ..couldn’t imagine that one ever changing for me 😂 Apple and cinnamon sticks is a bar that changed for me ..the first bar I warmed smelt kind of stale and musty but when I re tried it last autumn the cinnamon really came through and I loved it. Have a wonderful Easter 🐣 🤗
So a warming change for the better!
The scent that changed for me is Make a Splash. For me, it’s because it’s been a bathroom room spray for so long. 😊
I tried it in cleaning but did not repurchase. I prefer it in wax form
Mine is Plum & White Woods, a scent I know you enjoy. Used to love it and had it in my club. Got a bar from a destash that had been in a storage unit exposed to temperature changes and went bad/took on a sour smell. After that I couldn't unsmell the sour note and didn't enjoy it anymore. At least it opened up a space in my club lol.
That’s sad. When the notes turn it’s so bad.
🌈🌷🪻 I started using Johnny Appleseed in the cleaning products, so now the wax just gets used as a mixer. Also, Squeeze the Day just gets used as a mixer now for the same reason. Another one: Cloudberry Dreams. I can't warm anymore because I had some washer whiffs from the clearance section that ruined it for me! Took it out of my club. Score for the club totals! 🤣

The scent for me is Beach I loved that scent so much it was my #1 I would buy in bulk when it was around then I don’t know what happened but I don’t love it and never choose to warm it
Sometimes we fall in and out of love with scents. (Hopefully you come around if you still have quite a bit to melt)
I used to love vanilla mint and after the "virus" I just can't stand it. It woke me from a dead sleep and I almost threw up! What in the world?! Hemingway smelled off for a bit but my nose came back around thank goodness because it is my favorite!

I loved peace lily, mango shortcake, flower shop. Not sure this year 🤔
Maybe hold off and try down the road?
Blueberry Cheese Cake. I had a bar of it for a long time and when i got around to warming it, the bar fell apart so badly that i warmed the whole thing at one time. I haven't bought or warmed it since. Guess i over did it with that scent

The scent that changed for me is Coastal Sunset and also Whipped Vanilla Lavender 😢
I like when scents change for the better and not the other way around.
Hemingway. It was in a bbmb and I fell in love, put it in my club, but it wasn’t winter and it felt like a winter scent. I melted one bar in winter and loved it and the next winter I couldn’t stand it. I don’t know what changed other than my nose. I’d built up quite a few I had to get through too and I never liked it again. It taught me that if you fall in love with a scent, melt it now! Your nose could change!
Exactly! I’ve also learned that lesson the hard way
My scent is any combination of cucumber and melon. When I was 1st pregnant with my first, I was so sick and there was a BBW Cucumber Melon room spray in the bathroom at work. I was so worried that it would smell like vomit, that I sprayed it every time I got sick (which was often!) The scent was ok before, but I cannot stomach that scent at all now! I forgot about those mysyery testers - That was a fun experiment for you consultants! I will likely still be at our Easter gathering, but I will definitely watch the live later! Enjoy your Easter! Rosemary Mint is the scent that I over-warmed and went from loving it to removing it from my club. I’m sure if it comes back in a few years, I’d try it again but I definitely need a break.

Seasons change and so do our noses! Hopefully in a couple years your nose might switch back for that one

I believe tropical hibiscus is so close too street parade, absolutely purrfect and 101 Dalmatians are 6.50. Also if you mix berry sweet with Blueberry cheesecake it mixes well

I really liked Halloween Town and had it in my club, recently warmed it and it was an older bar, starting to sweat and it was horrible, I couldn't wait to remove it, now I have a stash of them will have to find a good mixer. The other one I loved but can't stand is Beach it was lovely and fruity with a strong Papya scent, warmed it recently and yuk, I think it did not age too well.
Sometimes things cure in an extreme way
I use to love Graham Cracker crunch and it was in my club. I don't know what happened but it started to smell weird and wasn't strong anymore. I thought it was just that one bar, but sadly it wasn't. I even wondered if the formula had changed because the scent profile was so different. Its no longer in my club now.
Good example of how things change…the wax, our noses, our opinions etc.
Hello, Patricia. I used to love blueberry cheesecake and it was so strong and delicious in 2020 and now I can’t smell anything. I am very envious of people who think it is strong and a nice scent.😢
That’s so sad! Sometimes with scents I can’t smell well - I buy in bricks because I tend to be heavy handed with the wax and justify it because the brick was my 1/2 price item through the club.
I thought I liked Jack’s Obsession. When it recently came back I put it in my club. I decided to use some I had stashed away & I didn’t care for it. I could smell more cinnamon than I remembered. I took it out of my club & bought some Salted Caramel Toffee to mix with it. I haven’t tried that yet.
Or Vanilla Bean buttercream, Caramel Sugar cone etc.

I was crazy for Blue Grotto, got in the pods and cleaning products and now I can't stomach it.

My scent that changed is “Pink Tulips” 🌷 … it was a favorite of my Mom 🩷, who passed away in 2019 😔🕊️💐. Now, if I smell it or see a bar of it my collection, I have an emotional response of loss for missing her. 🌷🌷😢. Scent memories are very real! I try to melt it on Mother’s Day for her each year! 🩷🩷🩷

Dumbo circus parade is that scent for me. I loved this scent but then I got the scent circle. I really disliked the scent circle because it smelled like a rotten tree. Ever since then, I struggle to warm it. But I still have it in my club because it was one of my first Scentsy loves.
lol - rotten tree. I think it’s funny you don’t warm it but it’s in your club. Maybe re-assess??
@@PatriciaG-NosetoToes I need to. I just kicked 5 scents from my club but I kept it. I love it on cold but there is a sawdust or woods not at the base that clashes with all the fruit. And it makes me sad now.
Great empties Patricia. I use to love Sandalwood Tangerine and last time I tried it ... meh! I don't know why, but just didn't like it anymore.
I had a bar and it seemed to really gain in strength on cold sniff over time.
I lol'd when you said you accidentally typed white b**ch. 😂 I used to love Aloe Water & Cucumber and then i used the bathroom cleaner and it turned me off of the wax. 🫤 Thanks for sharing, Patricia! 💕
Sadly it’s in an older video that way - white B as the scent notes. (I also kept mistyping it again today!)
