False rumors that can damage someone's reputation are disgusting. MC's backstory in college was kind of sad, good thing he has her sisters at his back at least. I've been fighting false rumors about myself before, and I have to admit it's hard. But I had at least some acquaintances that had some common sense to believe the truth, so I eventually got rid of them. We should never tolerate false rumors before it's too late.
