Black myth wukong has reinvigorated my love for gaming all over again. I’m out here researching boss fights and secret quests on my lunch breaks and at home after I play it. Reading about all the different armor sets and everything. It’s definitely another Elden ring level game experience for me.
I agree 1000%. First I dusted off my ps5 after beating spider man 2. Beat it and I was halfway through ng+. I wanted a better experience so I bought a pc just to play it on there to experience it. I love this game. It made me look into playing other games for the pc.

They were once lover in the past, and Zhu Bajie was supposed to be reborn as a human and do good deeds. But instead has a mishap and path in the reincarnation, and born into a pig. In the final chapter they mentioned a bit of Wukongs love life with a woman who I think manipulated him somehow, but I dont think it is the spider. And it doesnt make much sense because I dont think Wukong came back here since he came with Bajie very long ago probably before the girls were born

I had the same issue. Used smash stance almost exclusively, up until yellow loong. I looked up if he was just entirely immune to resolute strikes, and instead found a source that said he fights very reactionary to your inputs. Meaning the more you chase him down aggressively, the more aggressive he will counter. It seems to be true. Once I started using thrust stance, and just charging up at a distance- waiting for HIM to move first, I got him in a few more tries. He REALLY punishes smash stance lovers.
The problem is because of the translation error people are using resolute strikes incorrectly. Resolute strike is actually a parry. So what's happening is he is parrying your parry when you use it incorrectly. He isn't immune. If you use it to parry him, it works. For proof, just watch ongbals video
No smash stance worked for him just like for other bosses. This one is difficult only because he has too much health with so many intense fatal combos.

In general Pillar Stance is better than Thrust if you need to hit a boss that are just barely out of Thrust's range. Although you're prob better off using Thrust to stop an enemy in their tracks as Pillar brings you closer to them, but Pillar is better for avoiding damage. I've been using Thrust a lot more often in mid-chapter 2 and onward and I'm still stuck on Ch3. I am working on defeating the Four Captains for the Rat Prince sidequest, after that, maybe give Cyan Loong another shot if I haven't defeated him already. I got pretty close to defeating him but he was pretty aggressive. I didn't have room to breathe. This yellow Loong will prob give me the breather I been hoping for with Pillar/Thrust stance, as I always have a habit of keeping my distance and charging Thrust most of the time, and also because it hits enemies sooner with Heavy Charged attack.
@@drakke125Channel if you want to helpful tip for cyan loong, make sure you've unlocked your ability to dodge without ruining your combo. After his normal combo where he swoops at you, then comes down and attacks you 2x and then drops some lightning, (dodge all attacks) use your light combo 4 hits, dodge his tail swipe and electricity, and then finish with the final strike. If You do this for the whole fight you don't even need to use spells or your transformation, his atks never change. He has 2 combos - 1 is where he swims towards you slowly, then swipes his sword - 1 is when he swims towards you fast, swipes 2x and drops electricity. Just avoid his AOE lightning when he covers his sword with lightning, and you will be fine. Good luck!
If you watch his animation, and keep your eyes on his arm as it curves, you can reliably dodge him every time. It's pretty important to learn this, as the last secret boss makes this dude look like sleepy smurf.
Yellow Long transformation is pretty dope once it’s mastered. It’s very powerful cause you can attack through enemy with a varied combo that gives focus point to unleash multiple attacks from above finisher
I think I got stuck here for a week or something and was going there and literary was practicing the movements and making them more accurate every time to be able to defeat this boss. Defeating this boss not only makes you to get better at this game, it also makes you to become a better human :)
i agree can confirm the comment from waddie, bosses in this game adapt and react to how the player plays and builds, yellow long is one of the hardest boss not because of mechanics, but because the big HP pool prevents players from spamming hyper aggressive moves and cheese it. so this boss becomes a real skill check, you can't do a rush down stagger lock
It took me about two days (play sessions 6ish hours or so) before I finally got Yellow Loong's attack patterns down to where I could beat him. Easily the most difficult fight in the game for me.
Same everyone always talking about Erlang but he always felt beatable to me, Yellow loong was the only boss that had me thinking maybe I'm supposed to do this later. Took me three days to beat Loong beat Erlang in a day
i started yellow loong today at 12 am, and beat him at 9:51 pm lol. Not playing all day ofc i tried him till about 2:30 pm and then i hopped back on around 8:00.
Haven’t seen anyone said Scorpion was harder than Yellow Loong. Yellow Loong and the final secret boss is definitely the top 2 hardest bosses in the game
@@pforgottonsoul Scorpion Lord may have been the hardest for me until I switched to Red Tides. Yellow Loong was walling me until I used Hoarfrost. As for the secret boss, I loved the fight but I found it easier than those two -- I did build 102 Shock resist for that, though, so I wasn't getting my health chunked by the debuff.
i beat yellow loong in my 7-9 deaths . There is a spirit that throw a tornado that freezes and slowes enemy and it has less qi cost. So hit him with that then activate monkeys and you will get qi back and then tornado then macquao chief transformation freeze and normal dodges i beat him easy. I had more diffuculties in Scorpion Lord
I did die to him a lot as well, I noticed he doesn't attack and lets you charge your heavy if you don't attack him first. after his health goes half then he gets immune to heavy attacks. from that its just matter of getting good.
When he glows with lightning, immediately dodge. He'll attack your last location. For the 3 in the air, there's 3 variations but it's in a random order. The easiest to dodge is when he twirls (36:00) because it's the longest delay before striking. The second easiest is when he points the halberd back, shoulder toward you (36:04). The hardest and fastest is when he stretches his weapon arm out like he's ready to dive toward you (36:02). If you haven't beaten already, good luck!
watch his spear when he is flying. he is telling you when to dodge. also you can counter attack his moves with your heavy when you see him raise his foot for a over head smash.
I love this video. I am laughing so hard. It only took me 6-7 tries to beat this guy. I took a lot of damage-enhanced drinks to beat him in 1-2 minutes, and at the last second, I took a resurrection drink just in case.
the key to countering his flying attacks is to use cloud step for the first time, but make sure its maxed out or you won't be invisible long enough, and when he does it the second time go into yin tiger transformation and just deflect everything and then punish him, that should already be enough to have him down a considerable amount of health also the wind tamer vessel, will knock enemies away when you use it so try to use it when in dire situations
Yellow loong is a big wall at that point. But once you clear him you'll wipe basically everything until you hit erlang and then the final boss. Nothing will prepare you for them 😂
For those flying attacks you need to dodge like 0.5 seconds before the attacks and the last one is faster so a full second before. I also recommend rock solid and the brew that makes rock solid not cost mana after healing. Helped a lot with getting focus up, damage mitigation and getting him stunned for a lil while. Beyond this, just try getting your stats up.
I was stuck on Yellow Loong for 3 hours before I finally beat him. Electric debuff is strong and he is combo in second phase is long (he could do like 7 chain attacks). Staff Parry actually works, just you need to time it carefully, like you can parry while he is doing mid air charging towards you.
21:00 you should attack the Venom Daoist from behind to cut his 4 arms before defeat him, so you'll get an item "Venomous Armguard" 😅 . . i also miss this one because i thought it's so easy boss, but i got it on my NG+
Pro tip : when fighting yellow loong, you can immobilize him during his charge up for the flying attacks and break him out of his charge up so you don’t have to deal with his bs so it’s best to save immobalize for the charge up rather than using it immediately
You can also use the wind vessel or à charged heavy to stop him, or Transform into the Tiger to easily block the dmg and build up focus for a hefty counter if you fail to do so
If you don’t know how you did that super cool attack it is a 4 charge heavy you know you get a four charge when your bar turns gold and makes a noise but you have to use it quick unless you have jingubang and if you don’t have it it only last for ten second
A simple way to make your fight easier. For the first half of yellow loong health, you always keep distance with him and use the last stance with heavy strike to hit him.
Ok the thing about yellow loong is those charged attacks have 3 variations. There’s a slow, medium, and fast version that you can tell apart by how he holds his weapon. That’s why it’s so hard to dodge those attacks.
for his charged attack ngl what i realized if you look at his hands before he lunges at you you'll be able to see which of the 3 versions of them it is
I beat it in like 7 runs , ngl transformation and the tonic to refill it saved the day along with other enhancing tonics (add to max health, stamina , mana , critical hit , damage reduction,) and a special one that can refill all spells cooldown.
use rock solid, rock solid with thrust stance is how i defeated all of them. use full rocksolid build and you don;'t even need to worry about mana and cooldown if you do successful deflections. after rocksolid thrust stance heave attack is instant without any delay. this is the best strategy to defeat yellow long, erlang or anyone in this game, Rock Solid is GOATED and use ring of fire for health regen and focus
It took me 12 tries. Once you understand you just have to dodge all his combos before you attack him, he’s a whole lot easier. He does his thing than just stands, and walks slowly. He even gives you time to build focus for a heavy attack 😂
Just for those who are still struggling with yellow Loong: keep distance he will do the first attack and chill (in case your are far away) and after ur attack he will hit you again then chill again. Just like this
The reason why you cannot properly do the "spinny hits" is because either you ran out of stamina (like what happened in your previous video) or you did not hold on to the light attack button for the spinny hits to keep going (at 10:01)
If your really really stuck there is a way to cheese up until his phase where he counters heavy attacks. Use thrust stance stance at a distance and charge up 3 focus points and then hit him, dodge his attacks and then do it again all the way until he's at about 1/4 health then you'll have to play like normally because he'll counter all 3 focus charged heavy attacks
You can use the vessel from chapter 2 to reduce the damage and help you with the pills. With this boss it is important to control the amount of magic you use, I would say it is better to use the circle of life and the red lantern summoning to increase the damage of the clones.
There's a trick to defeat yellow long easily. Go into the fight with at least one focus point. Keep medium distance. Yellow loong always initiates its attack with voices like "ah" or "ha" then follows with his move. When you hear the voice start light attack then heavy attack. It always ends up with a perfect counter. There's one exception, yellow loong's short range attack is immediate but ends with a voice. If you keep the medium distance, the attack won't hit you and you can still do a perfect counter.
Bro i really like your videos and this boss believe me i almost broke my screen because that guy sometimes when he have half health he just spam attacks like x5 chain attack, and well let me give you an advice, when he charges the attack (the one that makes him fly) count to 3 and dodge and also once he stops in the middle of the air repeat again, count to 3 and then you can dodge it, good luck bro!! 🤙🏻💪🏻

The attack pattern of this boss is that the lower HP this boss has, the longer his combos will be. e.g., at 2/3 of hp he has 4 times of lightning attack, at 1/3 he has 6-7 times, but it's always the same few moves. As long as you never get greedy as his hp reduces and panic dodge, you will overcome and win.

There are 2 others much worse. After fighting them, Yellow Loong was more merciful.

I did die to him a lot as well, I noticed he doesn't attack and lets you charge your heavy if you don't attack him first. after his health goes half then he gets immune to heavy attacks. from that its just matter of getting good.

When he glows with lightning, immediately dodge. He'll attack your last location. For the 3 in the air, there's 3 variations but it's in a random order. The easiest to dodge is when he twirls (36:00) because it's the longest delay before striking. The second easiest is when he points the halberd back, shoulder toward you (36:04). The hardest and fastest is when he stretches his weapon arm out like he's ready to dive toward you (36:02). If you haven't beaten already, good luck!

watch his spear when he is flying. he is telling you when to dodge. also you can counter attack his moves with your heavy when you see him raise his foot for a over head smash.
I love this video. I am laughing so hard. It only took me 6-7 tries to beat this guy. I took a lot of damage-enhanced drinks to beat him in 1-2 minutes, and at the last second, I took a resurrection drink just in case.
Tip: use rock solid once he's about to begin the dash attack! he'll get stunned and you can completely skip that dash attack cycle!

This was the first boss who got me to respec my build. And there's like 2 more bosses harder than this.
You can stop that swoop attack with a 3 focus strike or the wind vessel if you're quick enough. Gotta hit him while he's charging up.

the key to countering his flying attacks is to use cloud step for the first time, but make sure its maxed out or you won't be invisible long enough, and when he does it the second time go into yin tiger transformation and just deflect everything and then punish him, that should already be enough to have him down a considerable amount of health also the wind tamer vessel, will knock enemies away when you use it so try to use it when in dire situations
Yellow loong is a big wall at that point. But once you clear him you'll wipe basically everything until you hit erlang and then the final boss. Nothing will prepare you for them 😂
Use your wind tamer to stun him and get damage reduction
For those flying attacks you need to dodge like 0.5 seconds before the attacks and the last one is faster so a full second before. I also recommend rock solid and the brew that makes rock solid not cost mana after healing. Helped a lot with getting focus up, damage mitigation and getting him stunned for a lil while. Beyond this, just try getting your stats up.

The thing that makes yellow loong difficult from other bosses is his insane tanking ability combined with hitting like a truck.
I was stuck on Yellow Loong for 3 hours before I finally beat him. Electric debuff is strong and he is combo in second phase is long (he could do like 7 chain attacks). Staff Parry actually works, just you need to time it carefully, like you can parry while he is doing mid air charging towards you.
21:00 you should attack the Venom Daoist from behind to cut his 4 arms before defeat him, so you'll get an item "Venomous Armguard" 😅 . . i also miss this one because i thought it's so easy boss, but i got it on my NG+
Floverse you have four focus points if u max out your focus bar at max you gonna do more damage
Pro tip : when fighting yellow loong, you can immobilize him during his charge up for the flying attacks and break him out of his charge up so you don’t have to deal with his bs so it’s best to save immobalize for the charge up rather than using it immediately
You can also use the wind vessel or à charged heavy to stop him, or Transform into the Tiger to easily block the dmg and build up focus for a hefty counter if you fail to do so

If you don’t know how you did that super cool attack it is a 4 charge heavy you know you get a four charge when your bar turns gold and makes a noise but you have to use it quick unless you have jingubang and if you don’t have it it only last for ten second
A simple way to make your fight easier. For the first half of yellow loong health, you always keep distance with him and use the last stance with heavy strike to hit him.

Ok the thing about yellow loong is those charged attacks have 3 variations. There’s a slow, medium, and fast version that you can tell apart by how he holds his weapon. That’s why it’s so hard to dodge those attacks.

I beat it in like 7 runs , ngl transformation and the tonic to refill it saved the day along with other enhancing tonics (add to max health, stamina , mana , critical hit , damage reduction,) and a special one that can refill all spells cooldown.
use rock solid,
rock solid with thrust stance is how i defeated all of them.
use full rocksolid build and you don;'t even need to worry about mana and cooldown if you do successful deflections. after rocksolid thrust stance heave attack is instant without any delay. this is the best strategy to defeat yellow long, erlang or anyone in this game, Rock Solid is GOATED and use ring of fire for health regen and focus
Best way to use cloud step is to stay invisible and charge your attack but stay clear of aoe attacks

It took me 12 tries. Once you understand you just have to dodge all his combos before you attack him, he’s a whole lot easier. He does his thing than just stands, and walks slowly. He even gives you time to build focus for a heavy attack 😂

The reason why you cannot properly do the "spinny hits" is because either you ran out of stamina (like what happened in your previous video) or you did not hold on to the light attack button for the spinny hits to keep going (at 10:01)
If your really really stuck there is a way to cheese up until his phase where he counters heavy attacks. Use thrust stance stance at a distance and charge up 3 focus points and then hit him, dodge his attacks and then do it again all the way until he's at about 1/4 health then you'll have to play like normally because he'll counter all 3 focus charged heavy attacks

You can use the vessel from chapter 2 to reduce the damage and help you with the pills. With this boss it is important to control the amount of magic you use, I would say it is better to use the circle of life and the red lantern summoning to increase the damage of the clones.
There's a trick to defeat yellow long easily. Go into the fight with at least one focus point. Keep medium distance. Yellow loong always initiates its attack with voices like "ah" or "ha" then follows with his move. When you hear the voice start light attack then heavy attack. It always ends up with a perfect counter.
There's one exception, yellow loong's short range attack is immediate but ends with a voice. If you keep the medium distance, the attack won't hit you and you can still do a perfect counter.
Bro i really like your videos and this boss believe me i almost broke my screen because that guy sometimes when he have half health he just spam attacks like x5 chain attack, and well let me give you an advice, when he charges the attack (the one that makes him fly) count to 3 and dodge and also once he stops in the middle of the air repeat again, count to 3 and then you can dodge it, good luck bro!! 🤙🏻💪🏻

The attack pattern of this boss is that the lower HP this boss has, the longer his combos will be. e.g., at 2/3 of hp he has 4 times of lightning attack, at 1/3 he has 6-7 times, but it's always the same few moves. As long as you never get greedy as his hp reduces and panic dodge, you will overcome and win.
