@@Jejsucifjjenwnsn erlang is the delay king. you cant just predodge like yellow loong to get out of range. Er lang's delay is so different each combo and then the reach for the combo is crazy. it can combo across map mid combo.

I think I got stuck here for a week or something and was going there and literary was practicing the movements and making them more accurate every time to be able to defeat this boss.
Defeating this boss not only makes you to get better at this game, it also makes you to become a better human :)

The chest room has lore to it. The spider lady that told you to go in was actually a lover of wukong's and they were about to get married. The things in those chests were the wedding dowries, but sadly wukong got kiIIed and you're kind of his reincarnation or something like that, which is why she gave you the stuff even if the destined one forgot their relationship in their past life.
She was crying the second time she saw you because of you.
I love learning things about this entire story cause of the little details that Game Science didnt neglect to give the players
I looked up a video related to what you said, but instead of wukong it was actually Zhu Bajie with Violet Spider. They were once lover in the past, and Zhu Bajie was supposed to be reborn as a human and do good deeds. But instead has a mishap and path in the reincarnation, and born into a pig. @@RisingStarL96A1 that's the wrong spider you're talking about. Zhu bajie's lover is the old spider. Wukong's is the 4th sister outside the chest room.
Why am I hearing this for the first time. You sure about this? your source? In the final chapter they mentioned a bit of Wukongs love life with a woman who I think manipulated him somehow, but I dont think it is the spider. And it doesnt make much sense because I dont think Wukong came back here since he came with Bajie very long ago probably before the girls were born

It took me about two days (play sessions 6ish hours or so) before I finally got Yellow Loong's attack patterns down to where I could beat him.
Easily the most difficult fight in the game for me.
Not erlang ? I cursed erlang with a burning passion
Same everyone always talking about Erlang but he always felt beatable to me, Yellow loong was the only boss that had me thinking maybe I'm supposed to do this later. Took me three days to beat Loong beat Erlang in a day
i started yellow loong today at 12 am, and beat him at 9:51 pm lol. Not playing all day ofc i tried him till about 2:30 pm and then i hopped back on around 8:00.

Yellow Long transformation is pretty dope once it’s mastered. It’s very powerful cause you can attack through enemy with a varied combo that gives focus point to unleash multiple attacks from above finisher
If you watch his animation, and keep your eyes on his arm as it curves, you can reliably dodge him every time. It's pretty important to learn this, as the last secret boss makes this dude look like sleepy smurf.
I had the same issue. Used smash stance almost exclusively, up until yellow loong. I looked up if he was just entirely immune to resolute strikes, and instead found a source that said he fights very reactionary to your inputs.
Meaning the more you chase him down aggressively, the more aggressive he will counter. It seems to be true. Once I started using thrust stance, and just charging up at a distance- waiting for HIM to move first, I got him in a few more tries. He REALLY punishes smash stance lovers.
The problem is because of the translation error people are using resolute strikes incorrectly. Resolute strike is actually a parry. So what's happening is he is parrying your parry when you use it incorrectly. He isn't immune. If you use it to parry him, it works. For proof, just watch ongbals video
No smash stance worked for him just like for other bosses. This one is difficult only because he has too much health with so many intense fatal combos.
@@tungnguyenthanh7757 It's not that smash stance doesn't work at all, it's that if you don't see through his attacks with resolute strike, he deflects it.
Meaning you can't spam resolute strike and skyfall whenever you want.
Which, at least for me, before yellow loong- I was doing a lot to get easy staggers.
In general Pillar Stance is better than Thrust if you need to hit a boss that are just barely out of Thrust's range.
Although you're prob better off using Thrust to stop an enemy in their tracks as Pillar brings you closer to them, but Pillar is better for avoiding damage.
I've been using Thrust a lot more often in mid-chapter 2 and onward and I'm still stuck on Ch3. I am working on defeating the Four Captains for the Rat Prince sidequest, after that, maybe give Cyan Loong another shot if I haven't defeated him already. I got pretty close to defeating him but he was pretty aggressive. I didn't have room to breathe. This yellow Loong will prob give me the breather I been hoping for with Pillar/Thrust stance, as I always have a habit of keeping my distance and charging Thrust most of the time, and also because it hits enemies sooner with Heavy Charged attack.
@@drakke125Channel if you want to helpful tip for cyan loong, make sure you've unlocked your ability to dodge without ruining your combo. After his normal combo where he swoops at you, then comes down and attacks you 2x and then drops some lightning, (dodge all attacks) use your light combo 4 hits, dodge his tail swipe and electricity, and then finish with the final strike. If You do this for the whole fight you don't even need to use spells or your transformation, his atks never change.
He has 2 combos
- 1 is where he swims towards you slowly, then swipes his sword
- 1 is when he swims towards you fast, swipes 2x and drops electricity.
Just avoid his AOE lightning when he covers his sword with lightning, and you will be fine. Good luck!

Although that yellow long's move is super fast, it's well-telegraphed. You can just move out of the way the moment he lifts his spear.
best counter to his jumping phase is rock solid, just press it (with a bit delay) when he start transforming

So many people say Scorpionlord is tougher than Yellow Loong, but I beg to differ. I beat him in three attempts vs 20+ for Yellow Loong.

i beat yellow loong in my 7-9 deaths . There is a spirit that throw a tornado that freezes and slowes enemy and it has less qi cost. So hit him with that then activate monkeys and you will get qi back and then tornado then macquao chief transformation freeze and normal dodges i beat him easy. I had more diffuculties in Scorpion Lord
for me, yin tiger is toughest
Yellow loong is a big wall at that point. But once you clear him you'll wipe basically everything until you hit erlang and then the final boss. Nothing will prepare you for them 😂

Haven’t seen anyone said Scorpion was harder than Yellow Loong. Yellow Loong and the final secret boss is definitely the top 2 hardest bosses in the game

@@pforgottonsoul Scorpion Lord may have been the hardest for me until I switched to Red Tides. Yellow Loong was walling me until I used Hoarfrost. As for the secret boss, I loved the fight but I found it easier than those two -- I did build 102 Shock resist for that, though, so I wasn't getting my health chunked by the debuff.

Use your wind tamer to stun him and get damage reduction
The smash stance works if you time it properly. If you mistime it, you're saved from damage. If you time it, free stagger and damage
If you don’t know how you did that super cool attack it is a 4 charge heavy you know you get a four charge when your bar turns gold and makes a noise but you have to use it quick unless you have jingubang and if you don’t have it it only last for ten second

Bro i really like your videos and this boss believe me i almost broke my screen because that guy sometimes when he have half health he just spam attacks like x5 chain attack, and well let me give you an advice, when he charges the attack (the one that makes him fly) count to 3 and dodge and also once he stops in the middle of the air repeat again, count to 3 and then you can dodge it, good luck bro!! 🤙🏻💪🏻

even though i lost a lot, i had such a fun time fighting and beating the harder bosses in the game including wind sage, yellow loong.. the hundred eye daoist. Every boss was so damn good, even yellowbrow which took me 4 hours to beat. I think i just have huge patience for these things because i know ill beat it.
The reason why you cannot properly do the "spinny hits" is because either you ran out of stamina (like what happened in your previous video) or you did not hold on to the light attack button for the spinny hits to keep going (at 10:01)
I remember fighting this dude took me over an hour and hade to change my build a bit. I used the gore eye for the extra damage and with the clones got him more half dead i also used the ashen transformation as the heavy at full charge dose good damage and you're able to git that off twice before self-destruction but thats how i did it
Floverse I reccomend using the earth wolf or apramana bat for good dmg and stun and the apramana bat is basically another immobilize so use that as your spirit as well as rock solid instead of cloud step because it's a counter AND the wind tamer it gives massive defense and if he does the grab attack whole the wind tamer is active instead of getting rid of 80% of your health it only does 40%-50% of your health and to save your transformation(ebon flow) for whenever your low or in a tough spot (like if your low and he starts flying around) Goodluck if you wanna fight him again

U can actually use smash stand but have to dodge the first hit first. Or keep distance to counter to charge.
when he's slow walking you, charge up your heavy on your thrust stance and wait for him to come close. It should give you enough time to charge up to 3. If he decides to charge a little early, if you have at least 2 focus points, he will get staggered by the heavy atk. Just keep maintaining your distance and charge your thrust heavy

Hey bro if you stay at mid range yellow loong will kind of observe you and see what your gonna do, you can take advantage of this and charge your heavy then attack him,dash back and repeat. Every once in a while he will attack you but mostly this works

30:42 to 30:46 the monkee moves just as the same behavior the guy is talking is so funny lmao
i struggled hard against him until i used Loong Aura amplification pellet to improve my critical and attack damage, right off the bat i hit him Gore Eye Daoist, Immobilize, and pluck of Many and i was able to beat him in 30 seconds. i dont recall if i used the wind tamer ability but this technique worked on him along with the scorpion lord, both the most annoying fights of chapter 4
You can skip the whole flying thing by rock solid into heavy attack when he finished charging (either pillar or thrust stance should do the trick)

When he's in the air he raises his spear that's when you dodge. the first phase usually he attacks in 3 combos second phase is 5 i think then third is seven when hes low life he starts spamming sht so just be patient in getting that last few hits.
Bro I can't. I literally beat this boss yesterday. It is so fun to see other people struggle and crumble at this boss's hands I can't🤣🤣🤣 Like literally I was stuck on him for the past week. The problem is this boss is not at all forgiving. One mistake and he will wipe out the HP like anything🤣🤣 But now looking at this as a spectator after defeating him is a different feeling altogether🤣 I was rolling when he said at the start that Ch-4 has the easiest boss. I was like wait bro. Let us get to the good stuff🤣🤣With 3 other tough bosses (not naming due to spoilers), this is actually the toughest chapter till now🤣🤣

circle of fire plus spear and thrust stance was key for me to beat yellow loong
I saw Ongbal fight Yellow Loong and apparently you can block his lightning zoomies with a well timed Rock Solid spell
The only way to defeat Yellow Loong is patience, dodges and small attacks.
I dropped the Yellow Wind Sage surprisingly quick, but the Yellow Loong is giving me a run for my money! He just gets so much more aggressive in the second half, and my dodge timing is way off. Thankfully my Gamer Rage hasn't surfaced yet. And thank God for that, my DualSense is already in pretty rough shape.
if he flies up to lunge at you, run towards him and stand underneath him or run towards then roll. helps a lot
stone body is super helpful, and the wind vessel can knock him out of his bullshit lighting flight

How I beat Yellow Loong and spared my controller:
Armor: Upgrade Galeguard Beastmaw armor set as high as you can for. Shock Resistance or just use highest defensive stat armor
Vessel: Wind Tamer (damage reduction and can interrupt most big moves to give breathing room)
Spell: Spellbinder (buffs all attacks)
Stance: Thrust spec’d out to Lucky Strike (focus point charged attack is fast and can replenish health in a pinch. See through on his wind ups can grant invincibility and give some breathing room to pop medicines and gourd uses if needed)
Staff: Chubai Spear (buffs thrust stance)
Medicine: as many shock quelling powders as you can make/buy
Gourd/Drink/Soaks: Xiang river goddess gourd (can be found in chapter 4 before you get to Yellow) /Jade essence (found in chapter 3) /iron pellet and steel ginseng (random drops)
Curios: Dealer’s choice
Strat: get REALLY comfortable with dodging. At the shrine go ahead and pop Spellbinder and a shock quelling powder, most spells don’t really help much since he uses more lightning infused attacks that have AOE damage as the fight drags on. For me he always started the fight with a long thrust. Pepper him with light attack combos and use the jump back of the Thrust varied combo to escape and dodge incoming attacks. Focus on building focus for the faster charged heavy attack to stagger when necessary. As the fight goes on his combos get longer and his lightning starts to deal more AOE damage. Dodging is gonna be your best friend especially when you get hip to his startups and get extra focus from perfect dodges. For when he’s in the air and swooping down at you, dodge as you see his spear raise above him and listen for its high pitched “sing”. As the fight goes on, just rinse and repeat. After losing so many times, it really comes down to paying attention to the phase changes as his attacks become longer. Also there are times where he walks around slowly, take advantage of those moments to pop medicine and heal. I really enjoyed this fight because it really forced me to think about learning boss attack patterns and the music was pretty epic. I hope this can help you and others in even a small amount!!

I beat him on the 9th try. He was easier than Yin Tiger for me, which Yin Tiger killed me more than 20 times.
If u hit off the venom guys arms u get some armguards but I believe u missed that now not sure tho

I think you need to upgrade the drink and gourd. You have much less healing than I have till this state of the game

I missed this guy my first playthrough and have been trying to find him all day, I guess I didn't kill all the other Loong's before I made it there? When I get to that place Yellow Loong isn't there. I just break the pots there bc I get angry.
You need the Loong Scales (from chapter 2), and beat the Red Loong (chapter 1), the Black Loong (chapter 2), and the Cyan Loong ( chapter3) before him.
I found em, thanks, It took me 3 tries to kill him. The boss I struggled with most is the Scorpion boss that uses all those poison AOE attacks, I hate that boss, he is tough for me for some reason.
Idk why but I had the most deaths to scorpionlord. I beat yellow loong in 3 tries. Erlang under 20. But scorpion lord was like 50+

I beat him with smash stance and ring of fire. Ring of fire charges your focus and heals you.
Using smash stance heavy spam keeps the distance between you. Do this till about 40% health then transform. I used yin tiger. Lock him in a corner before using windstalker. Then to close off, use your clones. Thats how i beat him
Ps.. the wind tamer can interrupt his second phase.

Yellow Loong is bad but wait till you hit Scorpionlord this chapter😂. Also Non-Able and Non-Pure are good against him as they have decent stagger and Non-Able is up so often you can keep Yellow Loong from attacking as much by staggering him.
there is a chance he misses scorpion lord though if he doesn't find him before finding the last boss in secret area.
