    Thank you all so much for commenting on the build video telling me what you want me to keep inside this ecosystem.
    So so many of you kept saying mourning geckos & vampire crabs. The only thing left now are those trumpet snails 🐌.
    But either way, keeping these inhabitants has been an absolutely marvellous journey and they really are amazing animals to keep.
    As you will all know, I’ve kept mourning geckos before inside my HUGE almost 3 year old ecosystem and I can’t thank you all enough for being here.
    What ecosystem do you want to see next?
    I have a few AMAZING projects for the future and some HUGE plans for this channel!
    As always, peace & love ✌️❤️

    Hi, I started a very similar setup, but I added 2 milipede species (i.a. Centerobolus splendidus) instead of the geckos. I have the exact same vampire crap species (G. Rouxi) together with trumpet snails and ramshorn snails. The crabs snack from time to time the ramshorn snail - so I would recommend these

    Fantastic paludarium! I love vampire crabs and mourning geckos so this really inspires me for a possible build. I would mention to be careful with the baby geckos though, theyre amazing escape artists and may be able to get out of the cracks of the enclosure, and rarely the parents may eat the babies. It'll most likely be fine, but keeping a close eye never hurt anyone. Great build!

      I actually don’t bud, but I know grain mites can be a nightmare for some, from what I’ve seen it’s giving them humid spots & dry spots too. With the system being constantly humid I think it negates that issue but I may do in the future who knows 🤷‍♂️

    Dude, the hardscape and the plants are awesome, but the stocking itsnt that great.... For any aquatic vertebrate need at least 5 gallon or 20 liter of water, rainbow fish rather need more (they like to swim, a long thank preferred). And the most concerning thing, vampire crabs can catch fished, and if they wont they still stress the hell out of them, mourning geckos are probably fine, but still preferred to be them in a species only enclosure.

    • @AntScapes1
      @AntScapes1  Год назад +2

      Thank you so much for the comment man! I do agree though with the fish, since I got the crabs a lot of people are saying that they can catch or will try chase the fish. I have seen them in the water area not trying to touch them at all, the shrimp especially, however, the geckos & crabs are not even close to being touched together due to the speed of the geckos. The fact the geckos are breeding is a good sign for me that they’ll be fine within the system. I keep a constant food source going for the crabs & the fish, alongside the geckos. But I do have a tank ready for the rainbow fish which will be on an update soon 😄. I worked out the water area volume whilst topping it up and theres 19 litres of water in total, I should’ve got 4/5 fish instead of the 8 group but wanted them to feel more comfortable in a bigger group. Thank you so much for the kind words too ❤️
