- A quick drive in Perugia, time lapse.
Perugia is the capital city of the region of Umbria in central Italy, near the River Tiber, and the capital of the province of Perugia. The city is located about 164 kilometres (102 mi) north of Rome. It covers a high hilltop and part of the valleys around the area. (Wikipedia) Again, the camera is very shaky, we're trying to improve.
I think I would love this place. Kind of reminds me of areas of Philadelphia where I was born. Thank you that was great.
I think given the space available in the city the authorities have done a great job ensuring the freest possible flow of traffic. Remember the Italians were building great highways while the rest of us in Europe were covered in filth and superstition. I se any number of things the road designers have done to help. I might say it cold use more provision for parking, but honestly when you have a beautiful and precious center like Perugia, you don't just knock things down.
Nope, I live in Narni, it's about 100km from Perugia (one hour by car) but I have many friends who go to the university that's located there and sometimes they host me :) I hope that you will like Perugia. It's nice to see that you are willing to stay in Italy, right now nobody (me too) is happy about our country because we're in a difficult situation, many people prefer to leave because there aren't a lot of oppurtinities especially for middle class people.
Make them wider? Like in the US? Um, no. If you haven't noticed, Europe's quality and charm comes from it's social, pedestrian-orientated lifestyle. That's the reason people hold it in such high regard and why many vacation there. Enough with your cars. Let's not turn Europe into another soulless stripmall with a thousand empty parking spaces. Stop accommodating cars (polluters), and start accommodating pedestrians and cyclists.
I'll be moving from the US to Perugia next month. Can't wait.
citta' fantastica,la mia....
città di merda, la tua
invidioso?
Mi hai scoperto :/
ciociaro86 appunto!!!
Grazie a te per questa bella testimonianza :)
Yes, they are, especially in the big cities. The number of car related accidents in Italy is higher than the one of similar countries (France, Germany, Spain)
Beautiful🌸🌺
Grazie e buon 2023 ! Cordiali saluti, uciano 😀
thanks
Perugia ti amo
Thanks.:D
Grazie Gamze!
Unfortunately I don't remember the artist :( I searched "free bossanova music" on google and these two songs were the first to pop out.
We had to walk for about 15 minutes until we got to our home :D
You were driving too fast here.
Ah nice. I've never been to Narni. Yes I'll like Perugia, I've been there twice before. It's beautiful. I know it will be difficult to find work, but I'll try... maybe in Milano with an American company. If it doesn't work, then I can always go back to the USA. Or I can learn German and move to Germany like everyone else is doing, haha ;)
I love this music. What is the artist?
I've paid for one year of school in Perugia, so I'll be there for a minimum of one year. But I want to stay in Italy for many years, so while I'm there I will try to get a work visa, or find some other legal way to stay there. I work in the design field. Do you live in Perugia?
@3:16 you said you were trying to find a place to park. You continued to drive for a very long way. How far away from where you wanted to go shopping did you end up?
I recognized that are from the moment you made a left to the house Amanda Knox and Meredith Kercher used to live. Is that really a bad area in Perugia?
C-los M Not at all! Perugia is a beautiful city.
Perugia a city where great pottery is made.
Do you move there for study or for personal reasons? :)
I thought people in Itlay were bad drivers are they?
Unfortunately it's not so easy :((
io ci vivo e ti dico che per quanto riguarda all' urbanistica fa schifo forte le strade sono piene di buche e i mezzi pubblici scadenti , molto scadenti!
Something needs to be done about those roads, they are just to narrow and lack adequate space between other motorists, so much so that I don't even call them roads I call them sidewalks, but I guess that's pretty much the standard of how the roads are designed all throughout europe, people are just basically driving on sidewalks, something should be done about that, if it was up to me and I was in charge of that country I'll close all the roads down to redesign them and make them wider.
