WOW! Pt1 was fabulous but this is sublime, simply stunning, loved the “Redpoll” cameo. Great story telling in an amazing and very special part of our planet! 🙌🙏 Thank you

No, thank you! I really appreciate your kind words. And well spotted with the redpoll. There were also hundreds of fieldfares in the forest, getting ready to fly south, but I didn't get a decent shot of them. They were moving too fast.

Fieldfares snd Redwings arrived here in West Berkshire last week happily feeding on the berries in our garden, always a delight to see them back and imagining where there in Scandinavia they’ve come from… looking forward to watching your next film. All the best ✌️

Now that's a solitary trek! Such solitude gives quite an impact to a kettle boiling on a gas flame (sleet on the window behind), or a log in a stove - all the hospitable kindness of the unseen Sami. Favourite landscape moments for me,:3.30, you trekking, black among grey and dun tonalities; at 9.40 and in the Intro, the reindeer antler by the boulder, with you moving away towards mountains; those brilliant seed heads at 11.11. The transition at 8.45 from the little brown stalks of something, each with a bright drop of water, to the closest shot of you (but looking away) was eloquent. Can't quite put my finger on it, it's something to do with the sun, which has the same relation to you, and those tiny heads of some kind of plant or moss.

Oh wow, thank you so much for your detailed and lovely feedback. This means a lot to me. It's heartening to know there are people out there who appreciate the same kinds of images as me. And knowing that at least one person has enjoyed watching my films spurs me on to make more. Thank you. ☺

I said l was going to watch your videos of the "Picos de Europa" but l quickly gravitated towards Scandinavia 😻😊 Yes, your style is quite different (and quieter 😅) than mine. Believe it or not l have a couple of 'non-speaking/quite' videos in my channel, too (don't worry, l talked to myself in between of shots to compensate😆). l really like this quiet style though; to me the master is Erik Normak (poor creature has a heart condition and haven't published a video in quite a while 😰😓).
When l started watching this video, l knew right away it must have been end of August to mid-September. It brought the most wonderful memories of my Nordkalottleden adventure (walking NOBO and finishing end of September in Kautokeino, Norway, quite a few km north of Padjelanta). In my NKL videos, you'll see very similar scenery to what you beautifully present in your videos (Episode 5 onwards) and you'll also see me sleeping in 'wood chopping huts' 😅 (The main cabins were locked due to COVID).
l'm now going to visit the US Capitol (we live in DC), but l'll watch your Norway videos (of course!) tonight. Have you taken a look at my winter adventures in Norway and Sweden? l now make my way through the mountains alone 😎 Just to say, l'm Spanish and l talk a lot, but l do value and love solitude and silence deeply. In fact, that's a big part of why l love hiking and particularly winter ski traverses.

That Padjelanta trek was hard work when winter kicked in for a couple of days but I love that sense of wildness that the difficult weather brings. That wood chopping hut was great. I really thought I was going to be camping that night so it was such a relief to find it.
That's a coincidence you mention Erik Normak. I watched some of his videos last year and was trying to remember his name just the other day, so you reminded me at the perfect time. I just went back and watched some of his videos. They are very calming. I'm sorry to hear he is not well.
I started watching your Nordkalottleden films the other day. They're wonderful. Really makes me feel like I am there. It's a hike I'd love to do.
I love Scandinavia but love Spain too. I really want to explore some of the quieter sierras. Hablo español pero solo a nivel intermedio. Quiero mejorarlo! Es un idioma que me gusta mucho. A mi tambien me gusta hablar pero cuando estoy en las montañas necesito tan solo el silencio y el sonido del viento.

@@Jim_Manthorpe-hiking Well, that's just fall in Scandinavia. When winter kicks in and you have 3 seasons gear, you probably die 😄 Thanks for the feedback on my Nordkalottleden videos. l had decided to go back to vlogging a bit (in my Kungsleden and other videos l didn't do any). As l said, l'm finding my style so l'm testing different things (except for the typical 'walk camera in hand waffling' video, l'm trying different things depending on how l feel). I was totally new to filming and editing when l started so l have a long way to go.
l'm happy to hear you love Spain, l think Spain has a lot to offer 😊Si te fijas, en prácticamente todos mis videos siempre hay momentos de silencio. Siempre he valorado la soledad, el silencio y la armonía,. ¿Y tú, de dónde eres? ¿Inglaterra, Gales...? Es por curiosidad.
l'm going to watch your "Part 1" of your Norway/Sweden video, l didn't have time last night 😊

@@alwaysforwardyt Your films are very well edited and well filmed. Very engaging! When youtubers talk to camera I prefer a more calm and natural way of talking which is how you do it. I'm not so keen on the over-excited egos that we see sometimes see. I think there is a place for both styles: complete silence / cinematic but also talking to camera to bring people along with you on the journey.
Soy de Inglaterra pero he vivido en Escocia durante mas de 30 años. Asi que me siento mas escoces que ingles. He viajado por muchas partes del mundo pero siempre vuelvo a escandinavia, los alpes y, por supuesto, España!
