I always enjoy your guides because they’re almost in real time and you get an idea of what it really looks like in-game in the thick of things. Fun trial. Haven’t cleared it yet but really enjoying it so far!
"Why would you watch this instead of Hector" I know it's a joke, but I still want to answer this. I am watching this in addition to Hector and Happy, and I enjoy the informal curse ridden tutorials to gaming content. Keep them coming Xeems and thank you :3 Stay cute.
Putting in my 2 cents regarding this, I've watched Xeno's guides since Shadowbringers in addition to Hector, MrHappy, and Lycona, primarily because it's a different form of guide. He tells it in "gameplay" terms which (for me) is a lot easier to understand sometimes. P4Sp1 is a great example of this with rot and tethers. I watched several guides on that single mechanic as well as listening to several of my static members trying to explain it to me and I just could not understand it. I relied solely on our raid lead's callout for that because I just had no clue. In came Xeno and explained it in such a way I actually got it after the explanation, and I understood it after watching it a couple times. All of them have good points and bad points. Hector often explains things very clearly, and his infographics are amazing. Sometimes he does weird shit like in Gale Sphere 2 where parties are crossing the arena instead of going straight through, but then you also have Xeno here doing the same weirdness with the first exaflares. Hector did this the good way, where the ranged pair just stays in the corner (if enumeration) and the melee pair just move towards the boss. Xeno's group had them move to fixed positions which is a lot of unnecessary movement. Where they take those stacks don't matter. Tbf, what he says regarding who stacks with who is correct. Healers and melee, and tanks and ranged, *can* stack together just fine, it's just not optimal.
@@tsjeriAu Hector's gale2 mech is literally exactly what Xeno did in this video, left-right relative to where you are running. People just couldn't comprehend left-right relative from a top-down perspective.
Thank you so much for this guide! I have been progging this ex since day 1 in pf and you're absolutely right at how Gale Sphere 2 is a massive problem in pf. The mechanic is still tricky for me to properly nail down, but this guide helped me a lot! The little tip about simply scooting and not running in a panic helped me go from 27 percent prog to a 25 percent prog today! Hopefully, I get my pf clear soon since I do not have a static to prog this with!
They started denoting which movement abilities can't be immuned by making the markers purple. Thomas the Tank Spider has a purple knockback as well, can't be immuned. Normal Golbez has an orange knockback marker, but it's purple in EX.
I personally like to put the c marker in the very middle so that you can better line up everything in meteors. Super easy to align yourself as any position if you just select yourself and use the base circle thing with regards to the waymark.
Crafter main and wasnt able to try this out until now, but i got my clear! thanks for making this guide i hope you continue doing another for next triall in 6.5. This is the funnest fight so far
casters can stay at the outer most corner during exa flares after dodging that first hit, no need to go to clocks to stack! your buddy can just go with you into the outer corner, bc the meteor strikes only once in that particular spot
Just adding one thing, the line aoe on the healer with the kb is going off depending on where this healer is facing, so gotta be careful kinda ! xD Good vid !
not quite. It's a tether from Azdaja, which fires in the direction of the healer from where they were standing at the time it hit. So just take a step away from the boss and you'll fire it at the south cardinal where no one is in the way.
@@TrueChaoSclx it's weird tho cause I've seen some tether going off on inter sometimes, so it means the person was actually closer to the inter than the cardinal, rarely happened tho
@@Senbonzakura_XIV That may be because the tether doesn't appear in a straight line. It's tethered from Azdaja's head, which is offset to one side, but the actual attack goes from the middle of Azdaja's position (where you were standing for the knockback) If you adjust so the tether points straight from the head, to you, and through to the wall, it'll actually fire out towards the corner to your back left.
i might be helping out my FC tonight and usually my autistic brain doesn't understand anything except by doing but you are super helpful and descriptive. thank you!
Honestly I'd love to see you upload some of your runs in PF of this before Savage comes out, it's all nice and good doing it with top 30 or so players like Arthars with a static and voice comms, but PF is a different beast. At least it'd be funny content.
PF is the land of chaos, where tanks need to use their mits and heals on other people and save the healers while the healers need to cry blood to save those uptime hungry melee, not to mention all the ranged that somehow still stay out of range of your skills after all the buffs. Oh and learn how to do the fight without any form of mitigation coming from the dps. Imma be honest, PF is just way too fun
@@bloodyDeagle77 I'm not sure if in that arena specifically but I have had people miss my buffs a few times since the patch. The range is huge but is not arena wide and some people reaaaaaaaally like keeping to the edge. My comment was more about the nature of PF rather than this particular fight
I think you can survive double meteors with 1 player dead, just have one of the flare players get knocked into the 2 tower and have the other support adjust into the DPS tower. The second player will (probably?) be a tank so they can just mitigate or invuln the flare. Maybe even 2 players if you have both flare players stack and tank LB it.
Hoi, ty for the guide ! Tell me, what do you use to be able to draw like that on your screen ? Look so useful to explain shit without having to copy/paste on paint and stuff !
For any of you contrarian motherfuckers who like to go their own way, the reason Support go south is because one healer will always have the Knockback marker and tether, and one tank will always get a Flare marker. The south tower always has a two person requirement. The mechanic solves itself as long as you haven't experienced brain death.
Please make savage guides to give people something to do tail end of expac. I promise I'll stop writing unhinged comments about mods and other games if I can just enjoy raiding and farming trials again on PF.
I can tell you this, no amount of guides will make people do Gales II properly in PF, it's literally rolling a dice. And since ur about half a bar from heal LB 3 at that point ur praying someone survives to use it. Of all the clears and attempts I've done of this, I maybe saw 1 or 2 enums and stacks done properly in PF. Rest is literally a shitshow. You can adjust and dodge the 1st gale together with stack or enums, on the 2nd when ice comes up that's usually where people start taking vulns, then in panic they forget which gale was 3rd and by that time either a heal survives to LB 3 or it's over. Think he does gale III later with same enums/stack markers, idk if he does Gale IV.
If you have issues with Gale Sphere (The ghosts) you can also just remember the first 3 and the last one will always be opposite of the 3th one kinda like P5S.
I can't wait to do this fight when I get some free time. It looks much less annoying to do than Rubicante. The mechanics are more involved, but still straight forward so my empty WAR brain can handle them.
Because I literally fall asleep to Hectors vids he story skipped and level boosted so no memes or jokes about mommy this or daddy that, no music in the background not even the ingame fight music, no in game footage just a static diagram that again makes me fall the fuck asleep. I'll enjoy this game again when I stop seeing that name in PF.
Appreciate the guide! I always find it easier to get the mechanics when it's PoV with scribbles vs satalite diagrams.
