Never hard of that Alabs Cetus before but blown away by it. I think a hallmark of a great reverb pedal is how it approaches shimmer, with too many pedals sounding harsh and cheap, but this is incredible! Will have to check this company out !
A great evening comparison of 2 excellent effects. Again, a tough choice, but if someone wants a change, this test can help them. Greetings Pavel CZ.👍👍👍
@@kingsguitarist517 for example I prefer the shimmer mode of Cetus, the same mode in Rv6 it's harder to eq. Wave mode of Cetus is simply a masterpiece, very inspiring. There's no mode on Rv6 that can be compared to the Cetus wave. In my humble opinion Cetus is more ambient than Rv6. But as I always say it depends on the music genre you want to play.
To my ears, only the room mode is clearly better on the RV-6 than the Cetus. The plate, spring and shimmer sound significantly better on the Cetus to me. From other videos, I'd also say that while the dynamic mode is very nice on the RV-6, all the extra modes in the Cetus (Wave, Swell and Cloudy) are awesome, and I'd take any single one of them before all the extra RV-6 modes. In my opinion, unless you are really dependent on the room mode, Cetus is ahead in terms of average sound, features, price and... yeah, looks. The only big question mark is for build quality and customer support; Boss has a massive advantage here, but only time will tell how well Alabs' pedals hold up. If Alabs had an official store in EU with actual guarantees, better QC and fixed the apparently common freeze/infinite toggle switch issues, the product could be 75€ more expensive and it would still remain the obvious choice to me. All the versatile "budget" reverbs in the market have some clear weaknesses that the Cetus seems to avoid.

Thank you very much indeed 🙏
Love everything you do, @@PerryFrank Please do a video with FLAMMA FS22 Ekoverb + Strymon Cloudburst.
@@tiffanyschillaci7519 thank you very much 🙏 do you mean as comparison or just soundscapes?
Great comparison, Im about to decide to purchase that cetus. But what would you choose between that two rev?
If you want to make ambient music it's better the Cetus
@@PerryFrank thanks.. did you notice any difference with the sound quality?

@@PerryFrank great! You'd help me with my decision. Thanks mate 🙂
Cetus 💯. The best sounding multi reverb I’ve heard in a WHILE. Love mine. Great job, man!
The wave mode is simply the perfection 🔥
❤❤❤
It’s one of the best reverbs I’ve seen at this price and for that matter at any price
Totally agree
The BOSS held its own nicely against the Cetus. The Cetus makes a better Ambient pedal, though.

Reverb tones aside, one thing that I noticed straight away is how quiet the Cetus is in comparison to the RV-6. Very nice tones too!
I prefer the Cetus, for that range of price it offers more
Alabs are impressive especially for the price 🎉
Totally agree
Boss rv6 without modulation, Cetus with modulation. Sounds totaly different
'Swell' is the best setting on the Cetus, easily worth the price of the whole thing. Superb ducking algo.
An incredible value for money! It has become one of my favorite pedals
What is better for worship music?
My favorite for ambient is the Cetus
