In my 52 years of fishing/boating, I've found that, indeed, the boat ramp, any boat ramp, can be the greatest show on earth. I've seen some things that still make me laugh every time I think about them. Glad you're doing what you're doing and glad I found your channels.

I can remember throwing temper tantrums. I was rewarded with a bare bottom spanken and then sent to my room with no dinner. Lol
i dont remember throwing tantrums... I had 6 older siblings that set me straight
My dad would pull out his belt or grab whatever's close by and beat me with it.
It never ceases to amaze me what happens at boat ramps. I lived in Florida, currently in Texas. I saw this there and I see it here. Ramp hoggers!

that little kid put his brother in place...right off the ramp! i was in tears laughing at that. probably shouldnt be laughing but i cant help it.
I don't even own a boat, but I've got more than 20 year's of trailering experience, and these videos have me shaking my head.....

No one but the kid and the parents knows what the issue was. Good for you Broncos Guru for just saying you sympathize with them! Unlike the other people at the ramp these parents don’t need anyone’s advice. Good for them getting their kids out on the water and not just sitting in front of an XBox!

When we launch my son's boat, it takes 3 people - I'm driving, my wife has the stern line and my son the bowline, and they are holding the lines BEFORE I even start backing down the ramp. And it's a sailboat, so we have to rig the mast, boom and sails before we even get into the water. And it's still faster than the most of these guys...

I have to launch my boat quite often by myself at night and unlit dock. Still, it takes me less than half of the time some of these geniuses need.
I used to go to the local lake with a cooler and a folding chair just to watch. (and snicker). I could launch and recover my boat easier and faster alone, than most people could with lots of help.

I talked to the redheaded guy in the first shot with the old Grady as I was coming in Wednesday mid-morning. Nice guy actually. The boat has been having alot of motor issues. They had their launch figured out that day.

Is rope so expensive down there in Florida that they can't afford to have proper lines ready to go on all four 'corners' of the boat when they arrive back at the dock?
Apparently so.. I have 6 big ropes on my boat.. hands only go so far...

Most of these struggles could be avoided by just putting a line on the center cleat. If you're not leaving the boat you really don't need a stern and bow line. A good cap should be able to do everything single handed. Crew is just a luxury.

May I add: I'm well familiar with Miami drivers. Many can barely handle regular {car} pavement driving. Add a trailer or bad weather, the success rate of accurate vehicle navigation declines exponentially.
That trailer guide wasn't even her fault.
i watch you, and Haulover all the time and having a big boat, 20' or more using a trailer seems like a royal ball breaker. if i ever were to have a boat (which is highly unlikely) i would keep it in a marina.

I used to go SCUBA diving around Christmas in the Keys. It can get pretty warm even in the winter. If you're not even getting in the water, it's probably more comfortable in the winter than the middle of summer.

If you notice the guy backing the Tahoo down next to the jet ski .... he was too close on the initial try and guide the trailer guide stuck in the crack of the cement wall before he pulled forward and backed down the second time ... his fault for the broken equipment....not hers

I believe she backed the trailer down. The commentary did say, "Oh! She's going off the edge." I believe husband was on the boat.

I'm from Michigan can I suggest a few launches. The metro Beach public launch,Selfridge public launch is a good one and Brandenburg is the jet ski launch. These are the major lake St Clair launches let me tell you I have seen super crazy things there and they're all within 20min of each other.You can get to anywhere on the lake in 20min from them .

We have a 32 foot tritoon that we tow with a F350 and my 14 year old son backs that thing down in the water with no problem. Don't get me wrong we've been these people at one point, lol!

boynton inlet is the most dangerous inlet in south florida.but that's the boat ramp that's closest to the inlet so everyone and there mother goes there
At that age my kids would start to melt down when they were hungry, that kid needed a snack not a smack.
No... he's throwing a tantrum. You don't reward tantrums with food. What he needs is a smack, make him calm down and act normal, then give him a snack. Don't reward bad behavior!
@@SkuzzelB8 He's not throwing a tantrum, he is having a meltdown because he had a long hot day and needs food. Skinny little kids need food more often than others just to maintain their blood sugar, it goes away when they are older but unless the kid has other psychological problems he just needs a Clif Bar. Just telling you what worked for my family with 2 skinny little kids who are now skinny athletes at top rated academic colleges.
Put you f in tailgate down. Make things a lot easier when you can see the trailer,.......knobs.

I would love to start a business in this area.
You get back to the dock and you are sunburned, tired, and feel like a raisin from all the salt water. For 125.00, I will filet your fish up to a certain amount, discard the carcasses, wash your boat, cooler, rods/reels. All while you have access to a shower and an air conditioned room with tv.

I still can't believe self centering rollers have not made it to America.
We have them here, just cheap boat makers use the bunk style of trailer. I had a 25’ wellcraft with rollers and could launch and load the boat by myself

Ohhh if only you had THE electronic boat ramps.. I've seen some ramps where a tow machine does it for you.. A MACHINE LIFTS IT OFF YOUR HITCH AND PUTS IT IN THE WATER NICE AND SLOW AND STRAIGHT FOR 20$.. AND TAKES IT OUT OUT OF THE WATER NICE AND SLOW AND STRAIGHT.... AND BACK ON YOUR HITCH.. NO PROBLEM

Hah even though this ramp is close to my house I stopped launching here. I drive up to bryant park to avoid the stress
That was us at 4 minutes....we are going to launch from Mangrove Park from now on ..maybe there will be less chaos!!! To be fair winds were about 21 mph that day!
I have a very Firm Rule to avoid being in the middle of crap like this...Only go boating>>( Monday thru Thursday) n get drunk at home on the weekends.
(Tahoe guy) Need to get rid of those sissy guide poles anyway! You don't need training wheels on your trailer.
I think they're helpful for reloading the boat on the trailer, especially if there's a strong cross current. It makes the boat captain's job easier by lining up his course with the poles
