- Joe Pesci kicks Frank Vincent's ass in the film "Raging Bull" (1980) directed by Martin Scorsese.
Cast:
Robert De Niro as "Jake LaMotta"
Joe Pesci as "Joey LaMotta"
Cathy Moriarty as "Vickie LaMotta"
Frank Vincent as "Salvy"
Pesci went home to get his fucking shinebox after this.
they hate each other in like every movie lol

I noticed
Going all the way back to that Family Enforcer movie.

Were Pesci and Vincent REALLY BUDDIES or mere professionals that were acquainted with one another?
I always wondered way Pesci never made a cameo on The Sopranos?!
@@1trucxhondamov589 He was too big for that. Actually, by the time the show was out, I doubt he would have made a cameo in literally anything. 90s there might have been a small chance, but that's it.
@@tyler0896 For Oletime sake!
"Can't do it Tess" 😀
I think Frank Vincent gets the last laugh over Joe Pesci at the end of casino
As far as pure acting talent goes IMO Joe Pesci is absolutely one of the very best actors ever. He is as smooth as silk-never misses a beat.
Joe Pesci is like a pro wrestler
He has a couple of moves, a swag, a catchphrase & he gets the 1-2-3
Then, you come back & watch him do the same thing in his next 3 movies
That doesn't work for me, brother.
@@GaunterODimm2 Works for him. Every time.
Let's not forget he murdered someone with a pen 😂
Jim Cornette ova here.
joe pesci is always a one man army.
Funny, I came here from terriers murdering rats. Good ol Joe helping his brother.
Uh... Wet Bandits, hello?
Joe Pesci is amazingly what passed for a tough guy in the 80's. Just a little twerp really.
@@johnkidd797 I have worked with guys in the slaughter house 5"6 and 165 pounds that could beat the crap out of most guys 6 inches and 50 pounds heavier
@@bradfarrahgerwing154 I'm 5'8" and 72kg, hardly a giant. I had a friend who is no longer with us and he was a European heavyweight kickboxing champ when he was young. He said that a good big guy will always beat a good small guy and that is true 99% of the time.
''There's nothing going on here, it's just a shinebox, relax.''
I came here looking for shinebox comments. salute
After the beatings Frank Vincent took from Pesci in Raging Bull and Goodfellas, he finally got justice in Casino. The scene was nicknamed "Frankie's Revenge" on the set.
Yep. Billy Batts got wacked twice and got revenge on Tommy with bats by beating the living shinebox outta him with bats.
@@alyjaffer8885 two bats, to be exact
@@Enkarashaddam Yep he wielded 2 bats at him.
He wanted revenge after the first movie. He compromised. He waited for the third.
Well Joe Pesci should’ve known better not to beat up the Shah of Iran.
And Pesci didn't even need to get his footware cleaning material container.
Lol!
No more footware cleaning Steven.
@@masinacmafia He could make your footwear look like reflective surfaces commonly found in domestic households.
What, a shinebox?
The inclusive liberal term for shinebox 🙃
"don't make me get nuts in this place." should be said at least once every weekend.
Pesci should've said it when confronted at his table in "Goodfellas."
As messed up as it sounds no guy buys a girl a drink for no reason. Joey was right.
That’s not true because I have bought women drinks for no reason. Buying a woman a drink with the intention of sleeping with her and trying to hide your interest and thinking that she is gonna be dumb enough to not see through your hidden agenda is spineless shit. Just cause you spend a few dollars on a drink does not mean she owes you her body. If you are doing it cause you are interested in her you make your interest clear. Otherwise you do if without expecting anything in return.
Gangsters!
Out of respect, a guy might buy a comrade's dame a drink!
@@robertthomas2601 It was a movie, I believe Joe Pesci's character read too much into that and as usual was over prone to violence.
Joe Pesci and Frank Vincent had been going at it for years in every movie, basic scenario: Robert De Niro (partner), Frank Vincent (adversary).
Most of the time Pesci wins but Vincent got the best of Pesci in Casino! 🙄😃
U only buy attractive girls drinks. In other words yes it means something
Greg Dennis shut the fuck up dude. Guy buys a girl a drink ALWAYS hoping that he will get some pussy somehow.
“My boy Tommy all grown up and out on the town.”

That’s what happens when you steal someone else’s shine box
When I watched this scene in the context of the movie it was horrifying but when I watch it as an isolated scene its hilarious.
It wasn't until "Casino" that Frank Vincent finally got fed up with being beat up by Joe Pesci.
we needed Pesci in The Sopranos. make it a trilogy with Vincent.
Casino was the trilogy
Vincent had the last laugh in Casino.
Pesci in the Sopranos would’ve been epic …
Pesci should’ve been Walden, but only in the last episode, just for the punchline only
@@maxfieldnuckels9075 was just thinking that haha
Salvy looks a lot like the Shah of Iran.

FP He ate grilled cheese off the radiator.
Kozzie Vercetti the fucking eyebrows. I can't stand him
"You won't have to go fuckin' runnin' around like a twatzoni." LOL
Just imagine what would have happened to Frank Vincent in this scene if he told Joe Pesci to go get his shine box.
He would have gone to get De Niro and wack him
He should have done this in Home Alone!
Eric Sperry can you Imagine mobster joe pesci fucking up Kevin?!?!?! HAHAHAHA!!!!
it wouldn't have gotten a PG rating then thats for sure. Lol
Keep the change you filthy animal.
The movie would've been over before the 2nd act.
Look what this fuckin' mutt did to my shoes.
I like how he makes up just before he hits him with the glass. Very realistic.
I've just noticed that in almost every mafioso role Frank Vincent was in, his character has some kind of misfortune involving a car. Getting slammed by a car door in this, being stuffed into a car trunk in Goodfellas, and in The Sopranos he gets into a car crash because of Tony chasing him and not to mention his iconic death scene. I really hope this isn't a coincidence, what a great running gag that would be.
I think it has something to do with hisdad dying in a car crash which did happen when Frank Vincent was in his 20s...
He's gonna damage that car door doing that.
1:27 Lmfao "We're friends we can straighten this-"
Capt. Killingfield He said the same thing in the legendary Shinebox scene in Goodfellas.
It was too early to say shinebox at that time.
I fucked a black chick, thats what I called it.
Francisco Rodriguez it's never early to get smacked with a glass shinebox
For a first time actress she was a natural
What is her name?
+loveharrydaily Cathy Moriarty was so natural in her acting. De Niro said she had great instincts. You can see that. One of the best performances given by a female in a Scorsese movie.
And she was criminally snubbed at the Oscars 😤
Lmao the legendary beef Joe Pesci and Frank Vincent have had in multiple movies. So good.
Holy Shit and i thought joe pesci was already scary from casino and Goodfellas but this. ... this is just crazy
Scary? Scary how.... Scary like a clown?
Like here to fucking amuse u? What the fuck u mean scary?
Omar Hernandez-Munguia scary how? Im here to scare you?
Don't mention Tommy, you do what you do, we do what we gotta do-I annoy family members by still imitating that, 30 years later.
;D
This is another role Pesci should have been nominated and won. Frank Vincent is great as usual.
get your shinebox
Shinebox lives matter.
Every scene with frank vincent and pesci someone makes this corny comment.
Pesci's a raging chihuaha
ProPaleo 😂😂😂
I laughed out loud.
he is connected though.
also a funny guy lmao
@@zackzallie8735 funny how? 😑
Jeez, for Joey to flip out like that was uncalled for. You woulda thought he told Joey to get his fuckin' shinebox or something
Send your wife over to my table...ya simp.
This scene makes me think of my brother. He would have had my back just like this..Heres to brothers..
marc cresta My brother is the one who beat the shit out of me like this. Fuck brothers. Lol

+Arse Robinson Lol so do I
Arse Robinson Scorsese movies to me always have bits of black humour in what is usually a very serious scene. The funniest scene for me in this movie is when Robert De Niro knocks out Cathy Moriarty.
Hilarious, wish he made m ore of these movies.
Nope. I do too lol
I think the funniest scene in this movie is Joe Pesci's reaction when Dinero asks him if he fucked his wife.
I've seen this film at least a dozen times, but I still appreciate the subtitles. Bravo.
When he was slamming that guy's head in the door I thought I heard a phone ring and someone say "Bonjour."
Oh I love this track...heh heh heh ruclips.net/video/ThHz9wlBeLU/видео.html
Ahhhhh yes!.. Nothing beats starting the day off like watching a good Joe Pesci beatdown!.... LoL.. ya f'n momo!!
NOTHING GOING ON?! HUH! NOTHING GOING ON!!!!
Whatever happened there? WHATEVER HAPPENED THERE?!
One of the greatest scenes in cinematic history.
So basically He’s 2-1 verse Bats!!👏🤣
Bats was a made guy!
Why do Joe Pesci and Frank Vincent always fight in films?
ask to Martin
cuz they were best friends in real life, RIP Frank Vincent
Fight. Lol. You mean why does Vincent always get his face kicked in?
They were buddies in casino until the end lol, I remember when they go into the bookies to pick up the cash
The way this movie filmed and the cinematography it look older than 1980. It's a violent movie. It's one of the best movies.
frank vincent is one of the great side guys in the biz...always lends authenticity to any movie...
RIP Frank Vincent!
Pesci is an underrated comedian and is extremely funny here as always.
If you listen closely phil is giving his “20 years in the can” speech
God, I STILL get excited when I watch this part and the part where Jake crushes Janeiros face in.......
Can you believe? Poor Frank Vincent did not even mention the shine box this time. Thank for posting.
Doc Santoro set the whole thing up.
Lmaooooo he sure did
Old man Profaci. He knew how to split his enemies.
No more Butchie, No more of this
RIP FRank Vincent
Nah, it was Carmine Jr. Joey was at the precipice of a crossroads.
One of the best films ever made is Raging Bull
At 2:30.
Please tell me someone else other than me heard Salvi make a loud "HUARGHHHH" grunt when he got clapped with glass by Pesci!! The sound he makes is fucking hilarious LOOOL!
Me looking around nervously: "check please."
Joe Pesci should have flipped out just like he did. The wife of a man is off limits in almost every way aside from hi and bye. No man has innocent intention from a drink. Get out of here
GNTRY I agree 100%. What does alcohol do? It lowers your inhibitions. Why else would a man offer alcohol to a woman?
I've been married 23 years to the same and only woman, and I take her out for drinks to loosen her up.
Insecurity at its finest.
KarlJC1411 I bet your wife’s boyfriend loves that you commented that
Ian Sorola and I bet your wife hates being kept on a leash.

Joe Pesci is the same guy who voiced Harry in home alone 1 and 2
You guys don't realize this is real shit lol Italians are really like this...I should know because I am :P
Believe it or not my grandmother is like this. She used to get in fistfights all the time. Now she just cusses people out. One time she called a crossing guard at my school a "fat bitch piece of shit". Lol, we live in portland so she is the only italian in the whole state haha. Too bad she married a german and i couldnt get more of those awesome psycho genes lol
+MDCKilla Ah come on only because you're italian doesn't mean that you know everything about your country and you don't have rights to say all italians are like that,i'm italian too and i can say that acting like that is for jerks, you should shame your self because you're italian and you're making prejudice about your own person (if you're really italian) just to have 5 likes, you're disgusting :P
you got that right ,,
my aunt Mary was a little
women , but the second my cousin sonny would lip off
she grabbed her shotgun
she wasn't playin either
I seen him dive out screen doors , windows , over garbage cans , and run for his life, but the funny thing is,, after it all calmed down
she would look around and say , okay who wants ravioli
hahaha, NO, they were like that before the glucose in wheat turned bad from all the fertilizers and what not
no difference between whole and white grain. It all spikes your blood sugar...
This movie feel so old. It 1980. It seem like it was from 1940 to 1960. It looks great. Great characters great story and acting.
Dude's gotta control his temper, haha
In reality They were best friends forever and worked together as actors and musicians Just an incredible friendship if you can read about it Two amazing actors in everything they did together
right before the beating, if you put it at 0.5 speed you can hear the other guy whisper “go get your shine box “
Joe Pesci was a funny guy in this scene. I mean like funny not like funny looking. You know makes people laugh….
You mean funny like a clown? Like he’s here to amuse you?
He did WARN HER..."Don't make me go NUTZ in this place!!"
Frank Vincent and Joe Pesci are like heated wresting rivals in many of their movies. It's s right up there with Bruno Samartino versus Larry Zbyzsco or any other great rivalry. i think the directors know this so they stick with that formula.
Joe pecsci can be the bad ass mafia guy who scares the shit out of you and the funny guy who cracks you up. Amazing range as an actor
I was floored when I found out these two were best friends that came up together in movies and a band. Always entertaining when they brawl on screen.
Keep him here, keep him here!
Is it an inside joke how the always fight each other in Scorscese Movies? Raging bull, Good Fellas and Casino. Theres probably more but thats all i can think of.
I love the way Joey says Fuck, That Fuck deserves an Oscar.
He’s lucky Donovan wasn’t playing or this would have ended way worse
Pesci in his best rôle, at his most dignified
"Now go get your fuck'n shine box!"
the funny thing is i had to watch some videos of Pesci, everyone keeps saying i remind them of Pesci when I'm pissed. I can totally see it now. i got to calm myself down before i do that stuff. apparently i sound just like the guy.

Probably not
He also did home alone 10 years after this film was made

Billy bats always seems like he gets the best out of pesci...
Billy gets his revenge, in due time.. in casino. and he really knows how to "bats"
Wowww I LOVE IT WHEN JOE PESCI PLAY'S THOSE GANSTER MOVIES HE REALLY GETS INTO IT LIKE A REAL GANGSTER SUPPOSE.....
That was a hell of a fucking beating!
It seems like Joe Pesci and Frank Vincent always beat the shit out of each other in the movies!
Goodfellas and Casino are other prime examples!!!
Frank Vincent's like OK wait till i get you and your brother ass in that cornfield
"This your pen?" 🖊️
Damn, how many times is Joe Pesci going to beat up Frank Vincent in these movies? lol
Two great actors right there. Now go home and get your fuck'n shine box!
oh my god lmfao that was the most ridiculously funny ass kicking i've ever seen

The funny bj thing is that these two go waaay back to the 60's.
Frank Vincent and Joe Pesci had their own rock n roll band. They even had some stuff recorded. Small world
All that anger and he didn't even tell him to go get his fucking shine box.
