Got recommended this video in 2021, with B4B being my favourite RUclips channel and all. Amazing to see this dude was rocking a 4K capable rig at a time most folk were still getting to grips with 720p!
It's like... Mahdi Abu Hamida you're a rarity, 95% if gamers won't have 4K TV for at least another 12 months. It will happen, but the differences aren't enough to warrant people paying the high prices currently.
It's because RUclips allows for a higher bitrate on those resolutions. If you watch this video in 4K you're basically just watching a 1080p video with a higher bitrate than the regular 1080p mode.
Wow. 4K gaming it is. Many people advised me to go for a 1440p 144Hz monitor instead of a 4K 60Hz monitor for gaming, but I think 4K is insanely better for less aliasing and great high resolution textures :D
Stick with 1440p man. Your still getting a resolution above full HD as well as maintaining a high refresh/frame rate. I have a 55 inch 4k display, and sometimes taking a hit to the frame rate and having to lower graphics settings just isnt worth it.
To be able to power a 27 inc 4k and 144hz monitor you need a 1000$ monitor. And to process it a RTX 2080ti and i9-8700 - i9-900k memory around 32gb with speed of 2600 then an m2 ssd with that minimum 750 power supp. Your comp will cost 3300$ and screen 4300$ and for that price on max settings ultra your comp with water cooling fire on all cylinders still might get around 60-75fps on like rise of tomb or bfV with ray tracing active.. if you ask me. The tech is not really ready yet.
Just wondering, how many fps did you manage to get with 1080 and 4k? And personally, I can't tell the difference since I'm on mobile, so the only major difference was that 4k was lighter color wise, while 1080 seemed really dark. Clarity, I couldn't tell the difference. But yeah what would you recommend? 1080 or 4k, or just go for 2k?
the 4k gives the real living fluid experience, although I watch it @1080p. are we seeing this on the same computer only resolution changing? If so I definitely need 4k but play @1080k due to low FPS :/
It took a while for HD to become the standard, for 4K tv, it probably wont for another 3 years at least. As a professional in video editing, I can absolutely tell the difference between 1080p and 4K on a small 21 inch monitor at 2 to 3 feet away. But on TVs that you sit on an average 15 feet away from that is 45 to 55 inch, the average person wont be able to tell the difference, unless the screen is at least 70 or more. 4K tech is still very young and not worth buying YET. The processors on most, if not all, 4K TVs are unable to tap into the full potential UHD output on Netflix, RUclips, gaming, etc... unless you dish out a couple grand on a TV that can. For now, the best bet is sticking to a 1080p TV and wait until the tech is better (and more affordable). 1080p HD TVs are now as best as they can get, and a new 4K TV will be outdated in less than a year, wait till the tech is better.
Higher resolution doesn't mean better quality picture. A higher refresh rate doesn't mean higher fps either. But with a higher refresh rate you will get a much better picture.
Whimsical Wookie jajaja you can see it, but really.. the difference is just so minimum that it doesnt bring any benefits of it really just pathetic lol
Just tried out 4k today. Its amazing! Its as cool as everyone told! A little angry that you played in 4k over two years ago. Im playing catch up with you.
I can slightly tell the difference on my 1080p monitor. But I can tell that the colors pop more and it looks a lot smoother in 4K. I been looking into 4K monitors but I will wait till prices are slightly cheaper and when I get more powerful GPU's put in my Rig. It reminds me of playing Dreamcast games 15 years ago on my TV then buying the VGA box and playing the games on my monitor. I seen 4K monitors next to 1080p but video's just don't do the visual difference justice watching them on a 1080p monitor.
+John Mellinger hey check out the 4k displays w/ quantum dot tech w/ them, I promise you there is a world of difference between the two. Samsung sells pretty cheap 4k TV this month, £500+ something but it'll get more expensive again afterwards, I think Samsung has some event of some sorts this march, not sure.
+John Mellinger Actually now I think about it, your dreamcast comment about going from normal cable to vga box is exactly right dead on in fact. It let through a clarity that had NEVER been there before on a console.
1080p = Full HD 2160p = Ultra HD obviously there's a difference 4k is like 1080p but 4 times the resolution and it's much clearer. You will notice it by looking at the background
even on a 1080p monitor you can see a massive difference in the quality of the textures. That is insane! this is why i use 4kdsr on my 1080p monitor when i can afford to just run a game at 60fps
It really depends on how close you're to the monitor, and how big your monitor is. I have a 1440p 27 inch monitor and there's significant difference even from 1080p to 1440p because I'm sitting up close. But it doesn't have so much effect when I use it on my 70 inch 4k TV even at 2 meters range, I can't tell much difference at all even if I put my glasses on.
you know why industry is trying to sell you 4K instead of actually prettier games? because it is easier for them just to waste horsepower on increased resolution rather than develop more complex effects and models for 1080p games. It is not your choice, gamer!
Hardly. The same reasoning could be applied to everyone playing in 1080p, you could've just saved yourself some horsepower and played at 1024x768 like we did back in the days.
Diminishing returns, heard that? In times when we played at 480p nobody was happy with that resolution. Everyone felt it was ugly. 1080p on the other hand is ok. There is no such abysmal difference in terms of overall feel when going from 1080p to 4k, as was with 480p vs 1080p.
Watching this on a 1080p monitor and the first thing you notice is how sharp the outlines are and the details. Im definitely going to pick up a 4K monitor because there is alot here that you cant see with a 1080p monitor.
this looks more like all of them are in 1080p, one being on low and AA on, the other on ultra with msaa or AA off completely... The best you can see is on Witcher 3 comparison, see the man jagged edges
Thank you for the comparisons. I'm putting together a new PC rig, so I'm waffling between 4K or 1080p gaming. Don't know if I can justify the extra $200-300 on the monitor, but it's definitely food for thought.
You can still see difference if you dont have 4k. Watch the 4k stream and look at city in background in first scene. Or in 2nd scene look at those people in background look how much more detailed they are even if you only have 1080p monitor. Its insane.
Yea in the 2nd scene you can see the rain drops individually falling in 4K but in 1080 all I can see as far as rain is concerned is that it's hitting the ground.
I'm looking at this on a 4K monitor and there is very little difference. There is a smaller difference in quality between 1080p and 4K than there is between 720p and 1080p.
Bang4BuckPC Gamer What monitor are you using?I have the lg ud68-w and it is not that sharp in games as yours,i must enable super resolution+ to (high),In native mode the monitor is worse then a 1440p monitor in games. Thanks!
There isn't a big difference to me. It's not a big deal or anything that i need to rush out and get. I think 4k seems to be something i'll wait a year or two for.
There are many reasons why you can't see the difference: - RUclips does absolutely no justice for 4K streaming (load times, video quality, etc) - You're likely watching it on a 1080p screen or in 1080p mode, so the 4K quality is likely downsampled to 1080p - 4K streaming is still an near-impossibility given how high-bandwidth the resolution is and U.S. service providers won't even upgrade to 4K cable packaging/fiber optics. If you want a real 4K vs. 1080p comparison, you're going to want to either download raw footage or view screenshots. 4K gaming is honestly worth it. Granted, the GTX 1070 is the lowest-spec card you can get that is truly "4K capable", but the image quality for games is just stunning
Funny to see people in the comments saying there is no difference. :D Go into your settings and use dvr and make sure the video is on 4k. Big difference for me on my 1920x1080p monitor
Captain Dumbass, yeah if you buy a 5000$ pc even then some games wont be 60fps. better than console but nothing can play 4k very well yet, technology not good enough
Depends on the game, some games are too demanding to get even 40fps at 4k. i would wait until a graphics card comes that can handle all games at 60fps 4k
I don't see the difference too much is it me or is it that I'm watching it on 1080p??? I really don't see the difference at all unless I pauses it at least once per scene!
so...does the 4k tv do anything to the graphics or you need a ps4 pro or xbox one x in order to really see the difference ...like will i tell the difference with my regular xbox one and a 4k tv?
Hi I got question, does the ps4 support 4k? I got a 60 inch tv and its only 1080p. So if i upgrade for 4k would that have an obvious change on the ps4 console? Thank you in advance
4k is redundant.....it's the graphic engine that really matters. even this video proofs it, for example crysis at 1080p looks better than tomb raider does at 4k ! so, until graphics engines ain't hitting photorealism we're good to go with 1080p.
I noticed you made sure water was present in most of the examples. Gotta say, that water looks extra refreshing in 4K. LOL It really does make a difference when the resolution is bumped up.
I really don't see but a small difference between the two. Full 1080p is faster fps than 4K. The technology isn't there yet. I'd rather have the full 1080P for now and have faster response time. Like 1ms over 4, 6 and 8. for gaming. If I didn't game then the 4K would be better.
ỳou are so stupid.. why need 1 ms when at 60 hz there is no need more then 10 ms display ? You don't see any difference becouse you have 1080 p monitor , how you can see the 4k with it? fatser fps of what? noone here know of what talking about
You have no clue of what you are saying. I configure and build computers for a living since 1998. Maybe I was stupid not to mention that I have several 1080p and 4K monitors in my shop. I know what they look like side by side. 4K has slower response time that a 1ms 144k monitor. That's a fact whether you like it or not. I would question who the real stupid is here.
What is FASTER fps? I don't think you know what you talking about. My U28E590D 4K monitor is 1ms response time. The difference is huge in the details. Big, one colored square wont look much different 480p or 8K. Its details like textures and anti aliasing, where details are so small that 1080p starts to blur pixels together. If you ever seen them side by side, you should know that even web browsing is completely difference experience.
More frames is key to me, id rather play a game with higher settings and framerate than higher resolution, of course its better but i wouldnt cut down on my settings and framerate increase resolution above 1080p then again it hurts to go under 1080p
mm i guess it's a stupid question but, if my monitor isnt 4k, how can I be watching a 4k image? By definition, the video we're looking at is being displayed in the resolution of the video(1080).. or at most of our monitors... not 4k.
now just think of all that money they want you to spend again to move up to 4k and a little bit better picture ..go for it you fools with all that money
Hey guys! I'm planning on buying the new upcoming Lenovo Ideapad Y900 gaming series laptop but apparently it has 1080p instead of 4k. It does have some good specs and i'm not sure if you can choose between 1080p or 4k (ofcours the price would be higher when choosing 4k). But they said the laptop would cost 2000 when choosing for the lowest specs. I'm not sure if it will be worth it. I'll use it for my 2D animation studies. Could anyone give me some advise? (I'm sorry if my English grammar is a bit odd..)
yeral8829 kurosaky You tube no representa la calidad real y menos cuando no se tiene un dispositivo compatible para reproducir vídeos en 4k. La diferencia es notable, pero nunca vas a ver la realidad en RUclips
Hi, I'm going around in circles here. Hope you have some input. PS4 on a 43" 1080p OR 43" 4K? Which looks better, regardless of cost or ms etc. Assuming all other specs are the same, does the PS4 look better in 1080p or 4K on the same sized screen? Some are saying it actually looks worse because of upscaling, others are saying it's like, Night and Day! Cheers
When you own a 4K screen and actually play a game in 4K for yourself first hand you will retract that statement. This video does not do 4K justice but gives you a small idea of what to expect
Oscar Barahona its not a mega difference bu it is better. And when 4k gaming catches up wit these tv's you're gonna see bigger improvements. honestly batman the game was not calibrated to 4k the just ported it there. kinda playing a ps2 game on a ps4, contents their but not the quality. also, at E3 both xbox and ps4 announced 4k gaming systems in the near future so soon we will have a use for our bigass tv's xD. sorry if am bad english im from africa
Oscar Barahona and to say you're not impressed what exactly were you expecting in terms of graphics? if any thing it is the game and gaming consoles fault for not taking full advantage of the hardware in 4k tv. his video is no an accurate representation as it does not compare the way you see these 2 in real life. maybe instead of screen recorder they should just hold a camera infront of both tvs to see the differences
Some people (who can see 4k) say the difference between 1080p and 4k is almost like 720p and 1080. So is 4h worth the price? It seems to me that 4k is really expensive for what it brings (small details, sharper images). Obviously i've never played on 4k ^^ -> if you can easily put 2000$ in a computer, 4k is an obvious choice, put otherwise it is really not a must have. Am i right?
Hey bro i have a question and i hope u answer. How are you capturing this footage? With a capture card? If so which? Thats three questions actually but it'll be very helpful. Thanks.
i game in 4K and use a 55" 4K TV and have problems with it , unlike all the fun BS you hear out there in PC land .. very good video watched it all in 2160p and loved it thx :)
I think they did something to the content, as I am watching this on a 60" 1080p TV, and I can see a difference, whereas effectively I am watching both in 1080p, so there should be no difference? Also, the gaming content supposedly 1080p looks much worse than I actually experience.. I know youtube compression explains some, but the 1080p content looks more like 720p to me.
Actually, Bang, nice video but if you check out the details, they re almost the same, the whole magic is done with the HDR of the TV...I would like you re compare those with the new HDR availability the last Playstation Update added, and then you might see even better difference in colors. I mean in GTAV,yes all look a bit more crispy, but the shadowing is PURE HDR difference the screen gives you...of course it looks far better than any normal HD screen. Video helped a lot my friend. Thanks
I'm assuming however that the 4K video is running at native 4K from a high end gaming PC and is not being output from a console with 4K upscaling, right? Thanks!
+Bang4Buck PC Gamer thought so, thanks. I'm ideally looking for a side by side comparison of console games running on a 1080p tv and also upscaled to a 4k tv.
hello i have been looking around for parts and i saw your comment string on some other video about bottlenecking and was wondering. I am on a bit of a budget and was looking at the amd athlon x4 860k. my friend offered me his gtx 980ti for 200$. he said that it doesnt work with amd? and also is it worth it to get that and invest in a stronger cpu? or will my cpu be fine? thank you i appreciate the help!
The GTX 980Ti is far to quick for the Athlon X4 860K, you need to get yourself an Intel i5 or amd FX 8350 for good results especialy if you are gaming at 1080p
I ´ve seen this in my sister´s iMac 27" with 4K and yes, there is a bit diference but not enought to spend double or triple.1080p still looks great if your monitor is below 22". 4K worth for now but just for movies and series. For games is too expensive and the diference is not too much, only if your have a large monitor of 24"+ You can buy a 4K monitor for the future but for now most ppl even with a 4K monitor would play at 1080p (many even in 768 or 720p) except if you have a SLI of 1070 or 1080 GTX, 32 GB RAM DDR4.... Too expensive.
help me I have MacBook pro retina which has great display but shitty graphics card(750m). I am planning to buy a game laptop(possibly Alienware 17) but it has 1080...would that be wise purchase?
One question. If i have a 4k monitor and downscale it to play in 1080 or 1440p will i get the same fps has i would in a 1080/1440p monitor ? This is for tests purpose since im going to get a 4k. therefor i can make tests in all 3 resolutions with a single monitor. Thanks
I have a PS4 slim and I want to buy an ULTRAHD 4K TV in order to improve my gaming experience ... now, should I buy it? Does PS4 Slim support 4K? Or should I just buy an FULL HD TV? Help, thanks!
The slim is not really geared towards 4K like the PS4 pro. You would be best to just buy a full HD TV unless you plan on upgrading to the PS4 Pro of Xbox One X in the near furture
ive tried to tell the difference with multiple videos can't really see the "huge" difference people talk about it just looks a bit sharper and crispier that's it I mean hey don't get me wrong looks nice but is it worth the big upgrade just for a graphical difference? naw I'm good with 1080p just my opinion
You have to own a 4K monitor to experience 4K properly, Until that time you will never know what you are missing. Go down to you local TV or tech store I'm sure they have demos available for you to sample
Man the difference is huge! Im sitting here with a 1440p screen, but there difference between 1080 and 1440 is bigger than I thought o.o I wonder if a 4k screen then will look like real life? ;3
4k is amazing no doubt. but I'm sacrificing res for just getting the Game to play smoothly throughout. full HD is fine. anyone who does video or pictures. Even a workstation. 4k is the way to go because of the tremendous amount of desktop space u get one one screen. as for real Time gaming or movies. I'm OK with 1080 output since Blu-ray has not gotten completely transferred to 4k rez. only a select handful of titles at this time so far.
I see the difference but I still don't think it is worth dropping £1000+ on a new setup to play in 4k. Maybe in a couple years or so but for now i'm gonna have to stick with good ol' trusty 1080p 60fps. I don't think seeing all the details crisper and clearer justifies the price tbh. Graphics are nice and all to look at, but is it really worth the money? not for me. Not yet at least.
One Million Views!!! Thanks very much as this is a major milestone for me
no problem bro
Iv never even gotten 1 thousand views in a single video... Lucky
Bang4BuckPC Gamer you deserve more :)
can you subscribe to me??? i need more active subs please!!!!! im a youtuber lol!
you the great buck!

クソタレ くたばれ actually some changes were obviously noticeable
Kinda like the click bait thumbnail LOL
No
by pressing the moment where it switch you get a much butter idea than any other method, so why proclaim superior method when its not even
do you know how resolution works
Im watching this in 144p just for fun.
gtfo you loser
16bitSteve Hey Steve, do you also run 16 bit Windows? just kidding...
16bitSteve made my day that comment 😂😂
lower res than nes ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
The funny thing is, even then you can still see a little bit of a difference! ^^ And also the video loads with the speed of light, man! :D
Got recommended this video in 2021, with B4B being my favourite RUclips channel and all. Amazing to see this dude was rocking a 4K capable rig at a time most folk were still getting to grips with 720p!
4k feels like wearing glasses
so it's cloudy and slightly blurred
if 4k feels like wearing glasses, you need to wear your glasses full time.
It's like... My monitor is only 1080p 60hz & I set it to 4k and can def tell a diff. It's much sharper. Like going from 720 to 1080 almost
720p to 1440p is the same ratio as 1080p to 4096X2160 (4K)
if i go any higher in res, its to 1440p, i dont have 2k+ to drop on a pc that will do 4k at 60hz let alone anything higher in the near future
DSR and VSR... thats why I don't invest in a 4k monitor...
It's because RUclips allows for a higher bitrate on those resolutions. If you watch this video in 4K you're basically just watching a 1080p video with a higher bitrate than the regular 1080p mode.
Solidrev how can you set up it into 4K? Thank you
It's sharper and more detailed.

Well if you're using a higher-tier card like a GTX 1070 you'll be definitely be getting about 120fps at 1440p. Especially after overclock

Watching on a 4K monitor, huge difference. Worth every penny.
Awesome. Even on a 1080p screen you can see the difference. Great video!
@Chloe Bateman No I just increased the resolution from 1920x1080 to 3840x2160. which shows a increase in quality

I agree. resolution has only 25% of importance to visual experience.
I would argue it's more like 27.3%.

Just tried out 4k today. Its amazing! Its as cool as everyone told! A little angry that you played in 4k over two years ago. Im playing catch up with you.
My monitor supports up to 2k only, watching it on phone and can tell a difference there 😊
1440p* 2K = 2048*1080p FHD at 17/9
I can slightly tell the difference on my 1080p monitor.
I know this is an older comment but I bought a 28 inch 4k monitor for $280 and I can tell a night and say difference.
+The Hilo623 day*
+John Mellinger hey check out the 4k displays w/ quantum dot tech w/ them, I promise you there is a world of difference between the two.
It let through a clarity that had NEVER been there before on a console.
hdtv00 Yeah the quality really made a difference with games like Soul Calibur
Just 1 question - for what you do that? For show difference between PPI?
1080p = Full HD
2160p = Ultra HD
obviously there's a difference 4k is like 1080p but 4 times the resolution and it's much clearer. You will notice it by looking at the background
even on a 1080p monitor you can see a massive difference in the quality of the textures. That is insane! this is why i use 4kdsr on my 1080p monitor when i can afford to just run a game at 60fps
Slight different but not nearly enough of a difference to justify the investment into a new system and a new tv
Anball2 lmao!
Anball2 that's damm true
rip
How can you notice a difference if the hight resolution of this video is 1080??
This video is rendered in 4K what on earth are you talking about? But hey you thumbs up your own comment so that tells me all I need to know.
I'm watching this on my Commodore 64 using McDonald's wifi c:
can't tell the difference
Wait really
@@Ballowax r/wooosh
Watching this on a 1080p monitor and the first thing you notice is how sharp the outlines are and the details. Im definitely going to pick up a 4K monitor because there is alot here that you cant see with a 1080p monitor.
how is it today
this looks more like all of them are in 1080p, one being on low and AA on, the other on ultra with msaa or AA off completely... The best you can see is on Witcher 3 comparison, see the man jagged edges
This is a great comparison video about FHD and 4k res in the games you've used bruh. Great work.
4k is way better.
SAMSUNG LU28E590 28
TheBestMovieAlive not way better but it is better
Not for gaming since 4k cant support 144hz i think
@@SolidRaiden2655 u don't really need 144hz for most games
It has been 2 years and I still am falling in love everytime I see a Witcher 3 scene .
I don't know how people are not seeing a difference, but I see a difference and I'm a console gamer.
+Ksam96Trini Yeah, i think the difference is very nice and worth! :)
It makes a huge difference if you view it on a 4k device still you do notice it on 1080p devices its just not as good
+Ksam96Trini console only 720p 30 fps, sorry
Because they arent brainwashed to asume and force improvement on something because a retailer stuck a new name and higher price on it
Watching this video i couldnt see the difference because of the phone but on tv in 4k i can tell the difference
Thank you for the comparisons. I'm putting together a new PC rig, so I'm waffling between 4K or 1080p gaming. Don't know if I can justify the extra $200-300 on the monitor, but it's definitely food for thought.
1980x1080 120hz
Or
4320x2160. 60hz?
So based on the thumbnail, 4K makes Batman more muscular...
Im buying a 4k monitor for my xnox one x thanks for this video
There's obvious difference at 720p video resolution! Amazing
1080p for the win good enough for me at least for next three to five years
then don't play in 4k or you'll never go back to 1080p
+GrandAssassin4 I have to own 4K TV, Monitor or system first
you can buy a 1080p monitor and use NVidia DSR to go up to 4k
+GrandAssassin4 hooking up a 4K device to 1080p monitor to my understanding is pointless will only see a 1080p because of the display
+GrandAssassin4 I can just wait. I might just skip 4k do 8K we shall see.
Hello I know this video is a year old but I have a question will I need to purchase a 4K tv for the new Xbox that is suppose to come out?
You can still see difference if you dont have 4k. Watch the 4k stream
and look at city in background in first scene. Or in 2nd scene look at
those people in background look how much more detailed they are even if
you only have 1080p monitor. Its insane.
Yea in the 2nd scene you can see the rain drops individually falling in 4K but in 1080 all I can see as far as rain is concerned is that it's hitting the ground.

Can i see any difference if im looking at this video in 720p?
you won't see that much of a difference on small monitors... with 50" and above "screen, tv,etc" the difference is huge
Actually you're wrong on a 4k 27inch monitor difference would be crazy. Games with high effects show the most difference.
And most computers wont able to handle screen of that size too............
My Causal Gameplay Screen size means nothing on performance. Just Input delay and etc...
I can certainly tell the difference on my 28 inch. The display it's being viewed on just has to be 4k is all. Otherwise it's hard to tell.
I'm looking at this on a 4K monitor and there is very little difference. There is a smaller difference in quality between 1080p and 4K than there is between 720p and 1080p.
Watching in 144p.....
Bang4BuckPC Gamer What monitor are you using?I have the lg ud68-w and it is not that sharp in games as yours,i must enable super resolution+ to (high),In native mode the monitor is worse then a 1440p monitor in games. Thanks!
I was using the Samsung u28d590d
There isn't a big difference to me. It's not a big deal or anything that i need to rush out and get. I think 4k seems to be something i'll wait a year or two for.
There are many reasons why you can't see the difference:
- RUclips does absolutely no justice for 4K streaming (load times, video quality, etc)
- You're likely watching it on a 1080p screen or in 1080p mode, so the 4K quality is likely downsampled to 1080p
- 4K streaming is still an near-impossibility given how high-bandwidth the resolution is and U.S. service providers won't even upgrade to 4K cable packaging/fiber optics.
If you want a real 4K vs. 1080p comparison, you're going to want to either download raw footage or view screenshots.
4K gaming is honestly worth it. Granted, the GTX 1070 is the lowest-spec card you can get that is truly "4K capable", but the image quality for games is just stunning
I made the change from 1080p to 1440p and it fucking blew my mind. I can only imagine what 4K looks like.
Some random guy on the internet I hear it's awesome..even better then going from SD to HD.
John Vu Yup, it is. Even using Windows feels so much better. I urge anyone who has the money to spare to switch to 1440p or even 4K.
Thank you so much for this informative video! made the comparison easy and straight to the point
The difference is...
The money.
Funny to see people in the comments saying there is no difference. :D Go into your settings and use dvr and make sure the video is on 4k. Big difference for me on my 1920x1080p monitor
4K (played back on 1080p monitor) looks like ACTUAL GAMEPLAY as if you were playing the game on your PC.
4k youtube videos...are like 1080p gaming. since youtube heavily compresses.
You can only game 4k for the pc.Thats why pc is millions times better than console.
Captain Dumbass, yeah if you buy a 5000$ pc even then some games wont be 60fps. better than console but nothing can play 4k very well yet, technology not good enough
Matt Millstor You know a if your pc's graphics card is a gtx1080 you can play games at ultra hd graphics(very close to 4k) at over +80 fps.
Depends on the game, some games are too demanding to get even 40fps at 4k. i would wait until a graphics card comes that can handle all games at 60fps 4k
And whats are the diferences in 4k game on a 1080p TV and a 4k game on a 4k TV?
Definitely not worth the extra money
I don't see the difference too much is it me or is it that I'm watching it on 1080p??? I really don't see the difference at all unless I pauses it at least once per scene!
CrimsonDante Gamer you have to watch it on 4k to see a difference.
Bro I saw it on a 4k TV. Enough said! it was in a friends house over the weekend that I saw his 4k TV! The comment up above is obsolete.
How can you see the difference when you have a 1080p monitor?!?!?
You cant tell the difference on RUclips..you have to have the physical 4k system & tv in person to tell the difference
so...does the 4k tv do anything to the graphics or you need a ps4 pro or xbox one x in order to really see the difference ...like will i tell the difference with my regular xbox one and a 4k tv?
I can see a difference in 4k versus my old 1080p tv. if u find a deal on a 4k tv I'd jump in it.
TheTerminator1919 am waiting for blackfiday
TheTerminator1919 from what diffrence. 4k is ocerrated. Its just brighter. Thats coming from some with very good eyes
How can I possibly see the difference between 1080p vs 2160p? If I am watching this on 360 p???
nice song
Hi I got question, does the ps4 support 4k? I got a 60 inch tv and its only 1080p. So if i upgrade for 4k would that have an obvious change on the ps4 console? Thank you in advance
4k is redundant.....it's the graphic engine that really matters. even this video proofs it, for example crysis at 1080p looks better than tomb raider does at 4k !
so, until graphics engines ain't hitting photorealism we're good to go with 1080p.
rpm24 bro that's something I'm noticing too developers getting lazy... half assin 1080p focusing on 4k I mean 5k is out already.
I would question who the real stupid is here.
im having the titan x pascal and im compromising with 2k at 144hz for increase in resolution and framerate.
You think a 1080p monitor can tell you the difrence
Cheers
minor differences not even worth building a 4k capable pc
When you own a 4K screen and actually play a game in 4K for yourself first hand you will retract that statement. This video does not do 4K justice but gives you a small idea of what to expect
you won't notice on a smaller screen. u gotta see it in person on an actual 4k screen.
+D Brown Watching in my 65 inch OLED LG 4k TV. not impressed
You guys are going into a detailed explanation I’m just tryna find out which one is better, just tell me
The part I don't get.. I am watching this with 1080p monitor @ 1080p and still clearly see the differences.. is this simulated or what?
Some people (who can see 4k) say the difference between 1080p and 4k is almost like 720p and 1080.
So is 4h worth the price?
It seems to me that 4k is really expensive for what it brings (small details, sharper images). Obviously i've never played on 4k ^^
-> if you can easily put 2000$ in a computer, 4k is an obvious choice, put otherwise it is really not a must have. Am i right?
Hey bro i have a question and i hope u answer. How are you capturing this footage? With a capture card? If so which? Thats three questions actually but it'll be very helpful. Thanks.
I'm using Nvidia Shadowplay to capture footage at 1080p and 3840x2160 (4K)
So console capture cards wouldn't work for recording games on 4k tv?
Flintlock As long as the source of the media is 4K and your capture card is capturing at that resolution it will be fine.
Thanks
i game in 4K and use a 55" 4K TV and have problems with it , unlike all the fun BS you hear out there in PC land .. very good video watched it all in 2160p and loved it thx :)
why does 1080p look blurry when i am watching it on a 1080p monitor?
And this moment when you watch on 360p film full HD vs 4k
I think they did something to the content, as I am watching this on a 60" 1080p TV, and I can see a difference, whereas effectively I am watching both in 1080p, so there should be no difference? Also, the gaming content supposedly 1080p looks much worse than I actually experience.. I know youtube compression explains some, but the 1080p content looks more like 720p to me.
Color depth would be more noticeable I think , please make a video HDR 10 vs no HDR10
Does 4K build heat faster than 1080 does?
Actually, Bang, nice video but if you check out the details, they re almost the same, the whole magic is done with the HDR of the TV...I would like you re compare those with the new HDR availability the last Playstation Update added, and then you might see even better difference in colors.
I mean in GTAV,yes all look a bit more crispy, but the shadowing is PURE HDR difference the screen gives you...of course it looks far better than any normal HD screen.
Video helped a lot my friend.
Thanks

sehr, sehr gute idee. toll. super erkläret .ich kann nur DANKE SAGEN: vielen dank. bitte weiter so
I'm assuming however that the 4K video is running at native 4K from a high end gaming PC and is not being output from a console with 4K upscaling, right? Thanks!
+TheBix33 It's from a high end gaming PC, My specs are in the description
+Bang4Buck PC Gamer thought so, thanks. I'm ideally looking for a side by side comparison of console games running on a 1080p tv and also upscaled to a 4k tv.
TheBix33 I was thinking of grabbing a ps4 just for final fantasy 7 as I don't want to wait so maybe in the future I could do this we shall see

hello i have been looking around for parts and i saw your comment string on some other video about bottlenecking and was wondering.
Funny:) and where did you find a program and videocard that can record 4k res???
Nvidia Shadowplay Records at 4K 60FPS up to 130MBs. Explain to me what is funny
Yeh and what videocard do you use?
Outstanding representation, great video 👍🏽
Thank you friend, you are the best. And very helpful.
I'm watching this on my 55' 4K tv but the 1080p parts are highly compressed, it looks like 720p. The difference is really not THAT noticeable.
I can't see the difference and I watched it with a 4K hdr is 4K worth the upgrade what's everybody's suggestions on it
One question.
If i have a 4k monitor and downscale it to play in 1080 or 1440p will i get the same fps has i would in a 1080/1440p monitor ? This is for tests purpose since im going to get a 4k. therefor i can make tests in all 3 resolutions with a single monitor.
Thanks
That is correct, performance will scale normally depending on the resolution selected. Play at 1080p and you will see 1080p performance

Bang4BuckPC Gamer ok thanks for The info, one last question, Even if I buy an 4K tv , Will my PS4 Slim still run games at 1080p full HD ?
Yes, the Standard PS4 does not drive games at 4K

The differences between 1K and 4k on a 1080p or 720p monitor are minimum at best. I see a difference, but it's not much to write home about.
ive tried to tell the difference with multiple videos can't really see the "huge" difference people talk about it just looks a bit sharper and crispier that's it I mean hey don't get me wrong looks nice but is it worth the big upgrade just for a graphical difference? naw I'm good with 1080p just my opinion
You have to own a 4K monitor to experience 4K properly, Until that time you will never know what you are missing. Go down to you local TV or tech store I'm sure they have demos available for you to sample
Man the difference is huge! Im sitting here with a 1440p screen, but there difference between 1080 and 1440 is bigger than I thought o.o
I wonder if a 4k screen then will look like real life?
