Amazing trick, truly looks impossible! The high chance that you can fail is very bad since it's a trick you would like to do and amaze everyone, anytime. You definitely should do a deck collection video.
I'm not a magician but I've been watching way too many card tricks and tutorials on youtube. I've got some small ideas, for which I've no idea if they'll even work or be of any use. You could do something like what Spidey did in a trick with a similar ending, after cutting to the keycard and fishing for the suit you could say something like they need to have a stronger picture in their mind so you go through showing them the cards because 'they need to see their card one more time' and after about half the pack you ask if they've seen it yet. False shuffle. Now you know in which half it is so you can either increase your chances by picking more cards from the right half or just have three so you wont have to do more than a double lift. Or this way you could do less fishing and only ask one question and then pick 6 cards of two suits from the right half. Also, after fishing you can guess at their card, in the small chance its right tricks over you read their mind, otherwise play it as a joke and move on, knowing one more card it's not.
Yes, your approach is similar to the classic version of Out Of Sight Out Of Mind by Dai Vernon which is the trick Spidey has taught on his channel before. By eliminating half of the deck you would have a better chance at getting the correct card.
The beginning of this is entirely different to his. My version allows the spectator to pick their own card and even SHUFFLE the deck themselves. Spidey’s version can’t even let the the spectator hold the cards at all…
Thanks Nathan. Very nice but agree there is a high chance you may not be able to find the selection. Just wondering how in general you handle it with your audience if you fail to locate their card. Not just for this trick but for other tricks as well. Would appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this because as an amateur there is a chance that you fail to perform a trick incorrectly. Hope you can share. Thanks.
I would love to make a video on that topic in the future! But for now I can share some quick thoughts, for this trick in particular: The ending of this trick is especially helpful if you do indeed fail at finding their card, since before you reveal the card, you must ask for the name of it. If the card is not currently available to you, that’s okay because you now know the identity of the card. I like to use a mistake as an opportunity to perform either a switch or a color change into the correct card. Or my favorite method, palming the card into your pocket! That last method mentioned is my favorite because it allows for the trick to be even more impossible. Once the identity of the card is known, you act flustered and look through the deck (while secretly bringing their card to the top/bottom). You then say “Hang on, that card can’t possibly be yours, because I always remember to keep one card in my pocket at all times.” You then do either a top palm or a gamblers cop to pretend like you are pulling the spectators card out of your pocket! This gets great reactions, and it’s a perfect way to cover up any mistake.
Thanks for your insight and advice on how to adjust your performance when you have failed to find a spectators card during a trick. Really appreciate how you turned Lemons into Lemonade. I along with all of your followers really appreciate how much you contribute to the magic community and would certainly be interested in a future discussion on the subject of recovery after you have failed or messed up a trick as this seems bound to happen when you are not performing on a regular basis. Another topic of interest would be how you personally prepare and what notes or cues you use to help you with your performance. Thanks again and God bless.
If you mean the ending, it's the ending of a trick called "Out of sight out of mind" and it was created by Dai Vernon. Spidey probably made a video about it but neither him or I created it.
That would be fine. Just get the info of the suit the same way I taught here. If the suit matches the key card, then you know the key card could be a possibility of their selection. Then proceed with the rest of the trick the same as normal :)
Owww
Amazing trick as always luv u nathan ❤️
“How long did it take you to learn that?”
“Let’s just say more than a few minutes”

More card shark skill type of tricks please❤
Same as Spidey's trick????

Wonderful trick 😊👍😊👍
What would happen if the spectator chose the same card as your key card😊
That would be fine. Just get the info of the suit the same way I taught here. If the suit matches the key card, then you know the key card could be a possibility of their selection. Then proceed with the rest of the trick the same as normal :)
