These men and women had extraordinary courage. Dorah Kutesa, Pecos' wife, donated her liver to her husband in the first transplant surgery. Unfortunately, Pecos resumed binge drinking shortly after. He couldn't survive the second assault on his liver. By and large, he lived a fulfilled life according to his own admission.

Thanks for these series but the late Lt.Gen Pecos Kutesa joined Fronasa in 1979 not 1976 and after the Anti-Amin war, Pecos, EllyTumwine, Hannigton mugabi, katumba wamala, Stephen kashaka and many others were sent to Monduli Training school in Tanzania for officers' cadet course
