I flew to Lukla with the twin otter from Tara Air once. I was 6 years old. One day before, a plane has crashed at Lukla and every passanger died. Our family was freaking out because they thought we were on that flight. Two days after the fatalaty, we insured them that everything is fine. Actually, it was a really nice trip. From Lukla to Namze Bazar or something and from there to Tengboche. We went up 4500m and im still suprised how my 6 yr old lungs managed to breath finely up there.
Actually, the Twin Otter has the throttle and flaps lever to the ceiling because is reduces the amount of cabling needed from the throttles to the engines. Same goes for the flaps. And great video Swiss!
Speaking of Twin Otters and fearing for their lives, my grandma flew one in terrible turbulence and ended up holding onto the seat in front of her so hard the back came off. Luckily the seat in front was empty so she did not get someone in her lap
