Here's my review of the High Grade Model Kit Try Burning Gundam from Gundam Build Fighters Try! This is an upgraded design of the HG Build Burning Gundam, even using some of the same parts. I've never watched the show and don't want to. Also don't put your kits to an open flame. They WILL get damaged.

I actually prefer seeing reviews of straight-built kits for two main reasons.
1. I like to see exactly what im buying BEFORE i apply paint to it.
2. I cant resist the urge to play with my kits, so anything but panel lining gets worn off and ruined.
So, please, keep reviewing kits like this! :)

That is true, and i do panel line all my kits, but i vary rarely do any more, unless im getting a kit purely for custom builds. (Im currently attempting painting up Gundam Astaroth as Nightmare from Soul Calibur)
Nub marks are either easy to remove, or invisible from any real distance, so they don't matter when it comes to straight builds

True. Especially when you paint the kit. Because after you paint it, it hides all the flash from where you removed the nub! Or you could do what King Gilga said and topcoat it! :D

Better idea, get users to provide painted kits, if they so desire, so he won't have to. Not necessarily custom color schemes, but enough so that you can see how good the model is when the work is put in.

I got this guy at a convention a couple years ago. It was the end of the day and the stalls were packing up and I was trying to get rid of my last $20aud. I went to the gundam stall because I don't have enough model kits on my shelf and asked the guy what he recommended given my cash limit. He was a real cool guy and offered me this kit, which was priced at $35aud. He just said "yo, it's cool, $20 is fine, you'll love this guy!" and he was right.
Gotta love buying from cons at the end of the day. They're all looking to get rid of that last couple boxes so they don't need to kart so much stuff back across the state.
Now we need a full cover of "I don't want to set the world on fire", damnit!

Thank you for introducing this kit to me through this video, Jobby! It is one of my favorite model kits that I own, second only to the first master-grade that I got, the Gundam Unicorn Banshee Norn. It is up on the top of my tall wardrobe with the rest of my Gunpla. It is not painted, as i do not have any paint, though it does have a panel-lined face. I display it in it's burning mode, with the fire kick accessory.
The hg grimgerde doesn't need to be painted dude buy it

you don't want to try build one of Gundam IBO kits? Or the GM Ground Type?
Tomé Filho go with ibo all good kits and only a few stickers on most
Keith Holguin um most IBO kits have so many more stickers than HGUC kits and not every kit is that particularly good looks at HG kimaris vidar
I will admit that the full city and kimaris vicar have a few stickers the lupos and the 2 asaroths are better examples of the best kits from that line
I was trying to suggest Jobby to build one of then, I know how good IBO kits are good.
The Io Frame is one Jobby will like, is so simple and still great.
+jetfire48 I've built a good chunk of the IBO HG line and you're completely full of shit. The majority do not have more stickers then HGUC kits. I'm going to assume you've never seen or built anything prior to the Revive line. And just to remind you, HGUC has over 200 kits in the line. A handful of revive do not equal "The majority" or even a remotely good sample size for the general quality of the line as a whole.
Everytime a piece goes flying during the transformation I have an anxiety attack 🙃

Just got done building an HG Build Burning Gundam (the 1.0 version of this Gundam) that I found at an EB Games and although it has significantly fewer orange parts to swap out, I still think it looks fantastic.
Plus, the flame wings and the hand and leg attack parts are identical in both sets, so that's really great.

With a little wash and some dry brushing the flame parts can look even better.

Hi Jobby don't know if you've tried this but for the awful nubs try using a very fine sheet of sand paper it helps immensely

I would honestly prefer more videos like this than having you agonize over getting a model fully painted. I'm more interested in Gunpla than most of your other content, and you're still clearly showing the details of the kit, demonstrating poseability, and anything else cool that the box doesn't show. Plus, I'm here for your personality more than anything else
